HI peeps Thanks charlene i think i should be ok but i will see how it goes with chris Depreze first. If i feel i have some restriction then i wont go to Edinbourgh but ive heard so many people say they dont get ristriction to 3rd and 4th fill and that will take me to June before i get some restriction. When i was in Edinbourgh last month Dr chris gave three ladies a fill and told them to drink some water and if it was not enough he would top it up a bit more and they all went back in.I dont know their personal circumstances ect but i think i should know after 8 days if i need a wee bit more. When did you get your band and how much have you lost.Ive lost about 18lbs but in the last 4 weeks have been up 2lbs then down 2lbs.I can eat anything and in the same portion size as before i was banded.Im going to try and keep to 1300 cals a day and try and lose some before i go for next fill but it will be through will power and not any help from the band. Hi claire omg you look amazing.I bet your going to have a great summer you inspire all of us who dont have restriction at the moment to keep going . The glasgow clinic is on 22nd of april.I would phone julie if i was you becouse i tried to book on line once and it took my booking but i phoned julie just to check and she told me the Glasgow clinic stops at 12.30 and its best to phone her for bookings. Hope everyone has a great week. -

Hi peeps I have had a very busy week my sister was home for a week and it was my dads 70th birthday. So on the weight front not done very well ive lost 18.5 pounds in total but most infact all of it was in first 3 weeks and nothing since i had a fill with dr chris on 24th march but not really any restriction and i can eat anything as long as i chew well .I wasent expecting to have restriction on my first fill. However i got a text from julie to say edinbourgh clinic going to be a week late somthing to do with flights,so i asked her if it would be possible to go to glasgow on 22nd for a fill and then to edinbourgh on 28th for a fill i know chris Deprez had trouble finding it last time but im willing to take chance as im off work and daughter off school so could make a day of it.She wasent to keen first said about the cost ect and then said sometimes it takes a wee while for restriction to kick in but i said i would like to try and take dr chris advice on 28th.Im sooooooo desparate for restriction now as people keep asking how much ive lost.Ive heard someone on this site saying if u go to brussles chris would do it one day and if u wanted he would top it up next day if u ok.So i dont really see the diff cos there will be 8 days between fills and its my cash.Anyway see what happens . Hi slinky how are u and claire and blondie hope u r all well. Easter is nearly apon us and the shops are full of chocolate not good. -

Hi everyone Not been on for a couple of days so catching up with posts. Hi claire you should be so proud of yourself you have done great you shoud go and treat yourself to some new cloths. Blondienurse hope everything works out for u i dont know anything about what ur going through are u afraid that they dont find a place for u.Please let us know how u get on. Well i got my fill in Edinbourgh on thursday Chris put 3mls in but he said that the other Chris must have managed to get some in last week possibly about 1ml i think he must have took it all out to check.I dont have much restriction i can eat bread still but i wasent expecting much.Ive lost about 2 pounds i never weighed myself last week as i was so p....o....... afer the runaround last week i ate for scotland so i think i must have gained therefore i may have lost more.I met scoobydoo when i was there it is good to see a face from forum and i spoke to some of the other bansters there was a girl there (freda) that was in glasgow with me and chris could not find her port either she had left the clinic as i went in.Its good to compare stories with other bansters but i feel i kind of know what to expect becouse of this forum some of the girls there were worried about not haveing restriction after one fill ect. Total loss 19 pounds in 6 weeks Scoobydoo have a great holiday Everyone else have a great week -

Hi everyone I went for my fill on fri and it was chris that was doing them not CDB but the other one .He weighed me but when he came to give me my fill he could not find my port he tried four times and i am all bruised again.I have to go to Edinbrough on thursday to get it done by CDB its not very good as i have to take another day off work this could work out to be very expensive.I was so pissed off i have eaten everything in sight i dont have any restriction.I really need to start counting calories tomorrow dont want to undo all my good work. Hi slinks wish i could stop eating i would even consider falling out with alex if i thought that would work id probably eat more Nice to hear from all the girls Fatty patty and blondie nurse Hope everyone is keeping well -

Hi All Well its now been 4 weeks since i got my band its went in really fast.I lost 2 1/4 pounds this week so thats 16 pounds in total.I had a few treats last week as it was my birthday but obviously the band is still doing its magic. It was great to hear from all the old bandsters and know they are still doing good Thanks bobo for info about wls i just missed them they were in Glasgow on wed so im going to try to organise my work so i can go on fri to freddy i have an appointment its just that i had a meeting that day and i did not want to wait another month for my fill as its my first. I know a lot of people say you dont get any resriction with your first fill but i live in hope.I was wondering if enyone did. I had a great time on sat at the spa day and had a nice light lunch there also but must confess to a few cocktails and some wine Where has blondi, and feckles, slinky gone -

Hi all claire hope your new fill goes ok and you get your last 30 pounds of.Thanks for advice about fills im going to write down everything i want to ask and im going to make sure i get the max fill i can for my first one or it could be very expensive as i have to take day off work and travel to glasgow. Hi slinks how much have you lost now. My hubby will be in your neck of woods next week (derry) for st paddys day him and my brothers and nephews go every year to a diffrent part of Ireland for a Knees up they like the guiness and folk music. They always have a great time and need a few more days of work when they get back. Well its my birthday on sat and instead of tucking into a meal and chocs and wine im going for a spa day with my sister and iv booked with my dentist to have my teeth whiten.Im good to myself. I think i had my first stuck and slime thing today i was so hungry when i came home from work i ate a bit of chicken to fast so i guess band is working. The last time i said i was only having a wee bit of retriction but although i can eat anything im very aware of what i eat and normally very slowly so in a way it is working and i only eat half the amount i used to.So bring on first fill. Its good to hear from everyone . Take care everyone i will post next week . -

Hi all Well thats me two weeks with my band and ive weighed this morning and ive lost four and a half pounds so thats a stone in two weeks so im very happy i dident think i would have lost that much becouse i got my monthly last night. Also to share a wee bit news with you,my husband puts on a wee football bet on a saturday and this sat the player was not playing so he left his slip in the kitchen and i put it in the bin and then had to fish it back out and he put it on on sunday and won £755 pounds Huraaaaaaaaa becouse he is so lovely he gave me £500 and £55 for our wee girl .Remember a few weeks back i was moaning about saving for op and not having hair done for ages ect.Well i treated my self to cut/colour and nails done new make/up and saved the rest for somthing to wear in a few weeks happy days Fattypatty i can,t belive she spoke to you like that after everything you have put yourself through cos lets face it its not easy ive only had band for two weeks and its blooming hard mentally as well as everything else.I think you should write a strong letter and it might be time for a change of GP. Slinky OMG how did you cope with no broadband? just think in the old days you would have resorted to the crisps ect Pinkshaz just check about the vibrating step as i think i read it in my notes to not use these but im not sure if it is only for the first few months.I have had my band two weeks today im writing everything down i eat i dont think i have much restriction but im not hungry either im starting to eat soft foods now not totally mushy and ive not had any problems with anything so far but im booked in glasgow this month for my first fill at11.50am im coming from Ayr might see you there. -

Hi everyone It has been a week and 5 hours since my op.Ive weighed myself and ive lost 9 and a half pounds.I have been doing liq and dutch crispbreads and have not had any problems. The only thing is i thought i would be a wee bit constipated becouse i read that on here but ive been the oppisite.(hope no one is having dinner).Get stitches out friday ,still a bit stiff and cant sleep on my side yet but that will come.Im going to try to introduce eggs tomorrow to give me a wee bit diffrent texture that would be 8 days so i think it will be ok .If anyone wants to post what they started eating and when i would be interested to find out -

Hi Everyone I flew home yesterday feeling not to badI think i got off quite lightly. The only problem i had is with the abdominal pain i wasent epecting it to be so sore to get up ect (did, ent have any one to help as i was on my own) The first time i got out of bed i nearly fainted and i did,ent think i would be able to make it back on fri. However once i started moving i just made my self do a bit more and i think if my husband was there he would do more for me and it would take longer to recover.I dont have any wind pain and i was ok with anesthetic(probly wrong spelling).I also found the nurses very good and never felt much when they took drain out or took blood. Im on the liquids now ive got some slimfast, cupasoups, petits filous, and im going to get some of those cripbreads that hospital gave you. However i think i feel hungry im not sure if its in my head.My tummy keeps rumbblin but sometimes i get a wee tight feeling then like hiccups im not sure if its becouse i dont feel satisfied with those kinds of food but i will keep going .If anyone knows what else i can have let me know and how long did most of yous keep on the liquids for. Chris says 10 days but the book they give you says 1 to 2 weeks. Hope everyone is well will post soon. -

Hi girls Tried to post a message yesterday but its vanished dont know what i did. Anyway went to GP for blood test results and everything ok however he said my blood pressure is still a bit high and hes put me on meds.I e/mail freddie and explained situation and also said ive put a wee bit weight on since i first applied in oct.(seems as ive been saving forever).I got a e/mail this morning from him saying to stick to low fat diet and he will see me soon.So i guess he does not want to commit one way or other.I was feeling a bit low before,i heard from him i kind of felt in limbo and becouse i decided in oct to have the op and with christmas ive been saving like mad (also had to get new combi boiler in oct).So ive had no treats, nights out(apart from works xmas bash),hair cuts, new cloths ect ect so feeling a bit sorry for myself. However after receiveing the e/mail i feel more positive about the future and its only 11 days to go and hopefully these meds work and everything will be ok its my bithdat on 12th of march and ive warned my hubbie to have his wallet ready as i will treat myself to a pamper sesion and nice hair cut and colour. Thanks to everyone last week for there support. Scoodydoo was your flight ok and did you get picked up alright .I live in Ayr but the only flight i could get from glasgow or prestwick was going to take me into the wrong airport and i think its a bit of a camels trek to get to hotel i would be ok going, but coming home would be a nightmare as i'll be on my own.
