Keep us all posted as how things go for you, and keep up the good work. PS. I will soon figure out the silly ticker. If I do i will let you know.

    Fking PORT....GRRR!!!

Hi Thinsista, How did you port repair go? I understand your frustration. Was banded Sept 29,2010. Had my first fill in November. Seems that I am the 1 in 10,000 who have a faulty port. Saline goes in but can't be drawn out. Had a flourscopy (xray) showed no problems. Am going in on the 23rd for another flourscopy and to inject dye to see if there is a kink somewhere. I have lost about 50 pounds so far, but I am in need of a fill and they won't be able to give me one till they repair the port. Just roll with the punches sista
  6. Congrats. It is a wonderful thing to be going down in size. Embrace it and enjoy. Don't handicap yourself. You are in between right now. Throw out or give away all your too big and baggy clothes and go shopping at kohls.
  7. suf1987.....Don't let this jackass get to you. You have gone far too long without any encouraging weight loss. Find a new Dr. and pay for your fills if you must. We are all here to support eachother.Don't let someone take away your success. The meds you mentioned, are they diet pills? You really should not need those if you are adjusted properly. If I have learned one thing with this surgery, is that you must work with it and not against it. Pay attention to your feelings and how much and what you are eating. This will be a lifelong process for most of us. We must change the way we feel about food to be successful. Hope the best for you. RGinHB
  8. Hi Brian, Thank you for taking charge in a sense and keeping us September 2010's together. This chatting is all new to me , so bear with me.My question to you is, have you had a fill yet? I was banded September 29, 2010. All has gone well with a total weight loss of 25 pounds (which includes weight loss from the week before surgery).I went in for a fill November 11th and the Dr discovered (after injecting a full syringe of saline) that my port is not working properly. Saline cannot be drawn out of it.Possibly a kink in the port's tubing.Have to get an xray with a injected tracer to find out what the problem is.Fortunately the amount of saline the Dr injected was not too much. I am comfortable and content, even though I am back to liquid and pureed foods temporarily.Have you heard of anyone else with this challenge? I am a bit dissapointed. Not sorry I got banded but a little depressed because of this.
  9. Hi, Had my first fill today. Ditto on the Lidocane and the GIANT needle. Not too bad cause it's quick, but not a very pleasant thing.Unfortunately there is a problem with my port. Injecting saline went well, but drawing it out didn't happen. I feel kind of down since I have to go in for an xray etc to find out why it's not working right
