    Well, I also chose not to tell my family. I have no idea what I am going to tell them when they ask about my weight because it is a topic that always comes up. I have had attempts at losing weight in the past that have lasted for about a year and were pretty successful so I guess I will just tell them I have been going back to the gym. Not totally sure they will believe it. Hope to find alternative explanations.

    I completely understand. The holidays are coming up and I have been wondering how I will explain cooking for family dinners, but not eating. I also do not want my children to know. My husband and my sister are the only ones who know I am having the surgery.
