Hello, I was banded in Dec 2006, in Belgium, have had very slow weight loss, have had fills under Xray and everything, i was taken into hospital early December when my band tightend by itself and kept on having very bad night reflux but i came home as it corrected itsself, 2 weeks later i was rushed into hospital again (i had vomited during my sleep and it had gone down the wrong way, the vomit was on my lungs a lot of it too ) was very ill took out Water from my band and would not talk about it till my lungs were drained of fulid. anyway all they kept on saying was my band was too high up i have to go back on the 8th of jan to talk about reposioning it i live in London but had my band put in in Belgium, has anyone else had a band placed too high up, was thinking maybe thats why i have only lost 2st in 2 years even though i had a tight band (1st is about 12/13 lps i think) thank you olayinka

Hiya Do go and see DR Marc he is very good also go on the fourm Gastric Band Surgery and have a read that should help do ask me anything i am very happy to answer all the best mine

Hi Annie Sorry to hear about your filpped port mine has sort of of moved as well when i went to Manchester for a fill under Xray it took ages and really hurt however when Dr Marc (he fitted the band in Belgium) does my fill they are painless and very quick and thats not under Xray he just feels and gets it in one go must say he is very skilled, he fills in London for £60 let me know if you want to try him he does do fills in Belgium under x ray for 90 Euros too. i must say im rather upset about how slow my weight loss has been but we just must keep at it and not give up, we will get there in the end might just take a little longer chin up girl we will be thin !!!!!!!!!!! i also go on Dr Marcs fourm most people on there were banded by him and live in the UK we also meet up every now have a look its Gastric Band Surgery then go into forum they are a very lovely and supportive group i promise Where were you banded, and where do you have your fills done do keep in touch olayinka

hiya right i was banded by Dr M on the 18th of Dec 2006 was 17st and a little at the time did not have any fill during the OP have had 4 fills to date 1st fill 26th jan had 2mls 2nd fill 3rd march 1ml 3rd fill not sure date 1ml 4th fill Xray 1 1/4 mls 30th may in total i have 5 1/4 mls in my band i do have restriction cant eat bread, or anyting like that SO WHY HAVE I ONLY LOST 2 STONE SINCE DEC LAST YEAR !!!!!!!!! well im 15st 7 1/2 have been reading post and people that have been baned after me have lost 3 to 4 stone im upset i can only eat small amounts and i dont eat junk i have been very good so why is my weight lost soooooo slow have booked another fill but a bit scared of being over filled went to Spain and could not eat a thing just diet coke did not lose anything then went to dallas ate normally got back and i had lost 3 pounds, must say i am fed up felt i would have lost a bit more than 2 stone by now i know the band is a tool and you have to work with it which im doing but feels like i wasted my money my last fill was under X ray and the DR had to take some out as the Water i drank did not go pass the band so i know the band is ok a very fed up and sad mine :rain::rain::cry:cry:cry:cry:rain::think

Hi folks has anyone had their band removed and had a bypass as im told it cant be done, i had my band in dec 2006 and its just not working did think of having the by pass but had the band has anyone heared of this thank you mine

Oh thanks guys, for your replys its just that at times i feel its not working, as i have only lost a stone since dec which is very slow ive had 3 fills my last was rather tight, and i could only have mash and slim fast, i did lose a few pds then but now im back up to 16st having a fill under Xray next week to make sure all is well and hopefully have resriction will let you all know how i get on Thank you once again mine

hi Debs He is very good i must say, he also does that new band that does not need fills the easy band i think its called, like my band as it is for now,have a look at his web site its www.gastricband.org there is also a forum on there too most people on the fourm are from the UK a few from scotland and wales too mine

Hi Debs it was the way i wrote, it he does fills £60 the £40 is for people who do not have the band but are intrested in having one, so it just £60 for a fill. mine xxxxxx

Hi Guys i was banded by Dr Marc and have all my fills by him and he and Dr Chris do use the same office only they have different days Dr marc does fills and consulatancys on fridays and saturdays he charges £60 for fills and £40 for a consultany ithink not too sure Dr Chris does fills during the week dont know how much he charges hope this helps mine

Hi ya i hd my OP in Belgium on the 18th Dec, i was 17st and a bit i am 15st 11 now i have had 3 fills, a i have a good level of restriction at the moment,and yes i am very glad i had the band and if i were to have it done i would still be banded by Dr marc, Dr Marc is very nice, and very friendly have a look at the web site, there is also a forum there which is very good,www.gastricband.org hope all this helps all the very best and do let me know who you get n mine xxxxx PS. no he does not ask you to diet pre OP!!!!!

Hi guys i live in London had my OP in Belgium by Dr Marc Focquet he does fills in London and takes on other people not banded by him but he is very busy and you have to book well in advace his details are Dr M Focquet 4 Upper Wimpole ST London 020 7 060 1954 www.gastricband.org he also has a fourum on the site too and he charges £60 for fills (no X rays) fridays and saturdays There is also a Dr Lee in Manchester his details are Dr Steve Lee Anson Medical Centre Anson Road Manchester 0161 248 2007 and he charges £150 for fills under Xray will fill people not banded by him (there are a group of them not just him) and Dr Lee (not the same as above) in Shefield 0114 267 45 83 and he charges £260 for a fill under X ray and he also fills people not banded by him hope this helps someone love mine XXxxxx

Hiya im fine, i had my done by Dr Marc at st Elizabeths in Zotteinham, went really well have had 2 fills so far have lost just over a stone but im putting on weight very slowly had my OP in dec have 3.5 mls in band so far have booked another fill 31 march thanks mine

hi ya had my 2nd fill, i now have 3.5mls in my band but i can sill eat a fair bit, when i had 1st fill i could not eat much, it seems 2nd fill is not working:( :confused: any suggestions mine ps was banded in December have lost a stone a half live in the UK
