I totally see myself as still being fat. Every time my husband and I go out to eat I always get worried that I won't fit into a booth lol I weigh 129 pounds and I am a size 2-4 crazy hu?

We will all slip up every now and then but the key is not to continue it into the next day. Forgive yourself and maybe do an extra 30 minutes of cardio.

How Did You Reward Yourself?
Vanilla sky replied to legnarevocrednu's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Every 30 pounds I would buy myself a very nice workout outfit from LuLuLemon to keep me motivated at the gym but since I am now at goal my husband treated me with a tummy tuck! I had it yesterday and it was so worth it! -

"you're Not Going To Lose Any More Weight, Right?"
Vanilla sky replied to HolliJ's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have people telling me all the time not to loose anymore weight because I'm to skinny as it is, and it really bothers me because why didn't these same people ever come up to me when I weighed over 300 pounds and voice their concern about how unhealthy it was being that big? I have heard skinny people in the past say that it hurt their feelings when people would call them toooo skinny and I thought yah right I wish I had that problem but now I get it. -
Way to go Cindy!

How Often Do You Weigh In?
Vanilla sky replied to Dawn200321's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I weigh in once a week. I used to weigh in everyday but I found myself becoming a little to obsessed with weighing myself. I would weigh before I used the bathroom and after I used the bathroom lol crazy! -
What a great feeling! Congratulations

Confused About Clothing Sizes

I agree with CindyBklyn regarding the wedding dress but I would still suggest going into a regular store to try on clothes it can be so motivating! Congrats on your upcoming wedding. -
Still the fat one at the table-really?
Vanilla sky replied to NJGirl32's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am so sorry you felt this way but trust me it wont be like that for long! You are doing great. The only advice I can give you for now is to at least acknowledge that you are not where you used to be, I wish I gave myself more credit for that during my journey. -
Quick Complaint
Vanilla sky replied to NewStart95987's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did not have this happen to me but something does not seem quite right. I would talk to someone in the office about this, usually the assistance get paid under the doctors fees and so on. Contact your insurance company too and make sure the surgeons office is not double billing. -

Hello all, I usually don't post but lurk and I have enjoyed reading this forum, but now I need some advise please. I feel like such a liar and here is my problem, I was banded 2 years ago and weighed 325 pounds I now weigh 150 pounds and am 5 pounds away from goal. I work out at the gym everyday and eat healthy as well. I have 5cc's in my 10cc band. Lately I have had some people who see me at the gym everyday and say way to go you look great and I always say thank you but recently I have had 2 women come up to me and tell me that they have been watching me and that they remember how big I was when I started and that I motivate them and then they ask me what are you doing? Here is where I become a liar, I don't tell them about the band I always wanted to be private about it. Big mistake I feel. The only people who know about my band are my husband, (who is banded) my kids, and my side of the family (who live out of town). When people walk by and say way to go I didn't feel the need to say I'm banded. But with these 2 ladies it feels different they are heavier and really seem like they are looking for answers on how they can loose weight. I told them how I eat and how much I workout but I feel so wrong! I remember when I was looking for answers. So I need advise on how do I come clean with people I meet at the gym and have talked to without having to switch to a new gym lol?

CALLING ALL HUGE WEIGHT LOSS PEOPLE
Vanilla sky replied to lovemysgt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello, I am down 150 pounds and it took me a year and a half to lose that. I am 20 pounds away from my goal weight and hope to be there by this August. The way I eat is all natural, and unprocessed foods. If It groans in the ground, roams in the field, swims in Water or flies in the sky I eat it. The options of what to cook are endless and surprisingly low in calories. As far as my workout goes, I started out just walking at the gym and doing water aerobics to build up my stamina and self confidence. Now I no longer walk but I run 4 days a week along with pilates tower 2 times a week and TRX training once a week. I am sorry that you are struggling we all have days like that. Do you have proper restriction yet? That makes a big difference. Hang in there you can do it! -
Hello fellow lap-banders! This tool has truly changed my life, with a proper diet of natural unprocessed food, exercise, and fill level it is POSSIBLE to reach your goal weight! Best of luck to you all!

I am so sorry about your set back. Try to find another workout you can do that wont bother your muscle you don't want to cause further injury to it. I will defiantly pray for you! God bless
-
I do TRX at the gym with a trainer and it's wonderful you will be so glad you bought it. I only suggest that you go into your gym maybe every other month for a training session to get new moves, and to make sure you are doing them right.

Fast Food As Addictive As Heroin, Study Confirms
Vanilla sky replied to WrenBird's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
WrenBird you need to look up The Diet Solution by Isabella Del Rossi. It's a 15 minute video keep a pen and pad beside you to take a few quick notes. My husband and I started to eat this way back in March and I lost 15 pounds in the first week. If you do let me know what you think. -

Weight Loss in the "mushy" stage
Vanilla sky replied to umterps1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
19 lbs is fantastic! I didn't lose weight until 4 weeks after surgery because of all the fluids they pump in you but..... a little over a year later i am down 122 lbs! Hang in there let yourself heal and follow the rules your surgeon has given you. As far as the starvation mode goes I don't know about that. IMO as long as you are getting in all your protien your body will use the reserve energy you have (fat). -
Congratulations!!! Keep up the good work.
