Summer, This might be a long shot, but I heard that my Doc. has given the band to some people that have no other way to pay for this surgery. I don't think he does this all the time but maybe you can ask him, his name is Dr. Kuri in TJ Mexico..Good Luck..

Lap Dancer : WRONG , WRONG , WRONG, It is safe in TJ Mexico we walked all over and went shopping, to dinner etc. NO probs. Just like most big citys you just have to be alert of your surroundings, its probably not a good idea to go walking down the street at 2:00 am, but the rest of the time its OK. In the area of the hospital its very safe and clean. Like I said the Hospital is NEW and top noch, My wife work around hospitals here in the USA and she said there hospital was one of the cleanest she has seen. There cleaning crew work 24/7 and it shows..

Don't just go for the lowest price, go for one of the best Dr's around, Dr. Kuri !!!!!!:clap2: he is in TJ Mexico price is around $ 8,500 for every thing (not flight) tests, Dr's fee,(new) hospital stay,band, free fills (in Mexico) or a list of fill Docs. near you at a good price, pick-up and drop off at airport,and for someone to stay with you at the hospital and hotel .Check out his web sight, you will not be sorry.:clap2: belightweight.com GOOD LUCK !!

:clap2: Lets here it for Dr. Kuri:clap2: I'm a new be with my band, but this is what I do, I just put about a half of cup of food on my plate or less, and see if I can eat it, and after I stop eating, about 5min later, that's when I'll get full.

Here's my 2 cents:rolleyes: , I also was banded 1/30 and just about a week later I got this sharp pain, but mine felt closer to the port sight. I had gotten up from a chair to fast and felt the pain it lasted a few days on and off , then one night, the pain was so bad it woke me up from a sound sleep:omg: . That was the last time I had pain. I get up a little slower now from the chair. I'm healing great no more black n blue and no tenderness and my scars are healing great.:clap2: I'm now using Scar Zone every day and night to fade the scars and its working..:clap2:

Hello Chula, My name is Ted and I had my band done in TJ Mexico, with Dr. Kuri on 1/31/07.:clap2: . Dr. Kuri is one of the best Dr's around there or here. I have never heard of your Dr. Nelson he might be good ,but I'm very glad to have gone to Dr. Kuri.... Dr.Kuri will ask for only a deposet and you can pay when you get there. You fly into San Diego and are met by your driver and taken right to the clinic and hospital which by the way are NEW and nice. Hi Tony, My surgery went great..my scars are healing real good too.:clap2: So far I have lost 20lbs, a little slower then I would like but that's life. Who was your Dr. ? I guess we will always see that fat boy looking back from that mirror..

WOW, Well this was no fun at all, It was dinner time and I was going to fix my shake for my dinner ,and thought I would have a little chicken ( just a bite or two) before the shake,:hungry: and before I know it, I put that dang big old pice of chicken my mouth and did not chew it well at all. Holey crap it seemed to get stuck and it did not feel good at all.:omg: I tried to drink a little water, thinking it would push it down ,wrong it made it worse. With out telling my wife what I did I went to the bath room and tried to PB. which I did, thank the stars 3 times .:faint: I'll never do that again, I hope.:nervous

Just A Little hi, Boy its real good to chew food again.:hungry: .today for breakfast I had some scrambled eggs with some meat in it, and for lunch I had about 1 table spoon of potato salad and some baked chicken, yum yum.:hungry: .tonight I'll have my protein shake, still good.

Boy I feel dumb,:kiss My wife has been asking me when I will go on the full mushie stage and I said it will be this coming Sunday. I have been doing real good with my liquid faze but I have been getting real hungry for the last few days.:hungry: I could drink something like my shake and about 30min later I get hungry, so I drink water. I just can't wait for Sunday to get some food that I can chew. Here's the dumb part I counted the days wrong , I don't have to wait till Sunday:omg: I could have started on this last Tuesday..So tonight I had about 1/4 cup of tuna casserole, and it filled me up and I'm still full 2hr later..:clap2: It's good to here that you all are doing great so far..

Hey Ousooner, I was just going through the posts and saw you only have 1 pound to go, wow that's great !!:clap2: I just hope when my body kicks into the lose mode I can do that too.. Your starting weight was about the same as mine, How tall are you? I'm 6' 6'' tall.

Hey all , here's my two cents...I use Advant Edge Soy Protein 20g protein, vanilla ! No bad taste at all. I got it at Walmart. I like to mix it with a can of Atkins Advantage Chocolate Royale or Vanilla Shake cans..I add these in my blender with some ice and a little 1% milk and it taste just like a REAL milk shake..:hungry: Its real filling too.
