where there is a will there is a way. I always thought I was to busy to exercise, bu this month I promised my dr. that I would do the 60 mile challenge, as I am walking I realize I have more time than I thought, maybe less tv time or computer time but thats ok. Good luck on your journey!!!

Dizzy because you are dehydrated, need more water. That was my experience anyway

Im on pace for 60 miles this month, thanks for the challenge I needed it. Anyone do any 5Ks? Im thinking of doing my first on Thanksgiving Day here in Kansas City, just dont want to finish last lol

Im sure the band doesnt work for everyone, as for me it has not done anything besides being implanted in my body, I have to do the rest. 14 fills and no restriction, sounds like a dr issue not a band issue??? Have you contacted another dr? Im 11 months out and no problems, down 164 lbs. I LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry it didnt work for you ladies, its just a tool to work with, we do the work not the band.

The majority of people gain a few pounds before there first fill, its ok. You will be hungry just like before and be able to eat like before until you get a fill or two, dont sweat it, everything will be fine.
-
Cynthia, I am quite the opposite, I am very rarely hungry. I can go 2-3 day without eating and not get hungry

HI Shy, welcome to Lap Band Talk. No need to be shy here, we are all in this together. Any questions feel free to ask.

Suzzzie 98% of the battle is in the mind. I was banded 10 months ago, things are going great so far. I too love sweets, ice cream, cookies, etc. I still have them in moderation and continue to lose. You shouldnt think you can never have those things again, thats crazy talk, but everything in moderation. As far as the band, it sounds like there are problems there, I dont think you should have reflux unless something is wrong??? Not sure on that

My Mom told people about my surgery
waynef replied to jayeljay613's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
So true Wanna Be, I think people are more judgemental now than when I ate anything I could. I always thought this was the easy way out, but have since learned it is not at all. -
I'm in, I promised my dr. that this month I would exercise. This is the month I am really going to give this band a shot and see what we can do for each other. I am almost at my 1 year bandiversary, so its time to get with it.

My Mom told people about my surgery

On the bad side when you tell everyone about your surgery they watch everything you eat and let you know if they think its not enough or to much or not thr right thing. -

I would tell everyone, I told everyone about mine. Dont be afraid, you are still doing it on your own. Why wouldnt you tell? -

Dont be worried at all, it is very normal, you might not notice any restriction until after your 3rd or 4th fill. Im about 5.4 in a 10cc band, I have good restriction but it is different for everyone.

I had mine done at a surgery center, Surgery was at 8 a.m., was headed home by 1 p.m., great experience, great staff.

First time Stuck....questions?
waynef replied to Stargurrl*'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Awesome advice Pam!!!!! Whenever I get stuck and throw up, I always go to liquids for the rest of the day, it seems everything gets inflamed and nothing wants to go dow, its just easiest to do liquids. -
Re-starting my weight loss journey
waynef replied to OneToughCookie's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congrats on starting again. You can do it!!!!! It is a struggle, everyday you decide what your gonna do. Exercise or not, eat right or not. We will not always succeed in doing what is right, but we must forgive ourselves get back up and move in the right direction. In my opinion its hard to get support from non banded people, they have no idea what it is like. Never give up on your journey, its a marathon not a sprint. -
Does anyone drink a lot of liquid at meals to get things like bread down?
waynef replied to New2011's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
bread is a no no to eat, drinking is a no no while eating. 45 minutes to an hour after you eat you can drink, any sooner it comes back up for me. -
Ashley, Conrats on your decision!!!!! It was the best choice I ever made. I was 591 at my highest, lost 140 as of now. It is a total life changer. I would love to help in any way I could, feel free to ask anything
