Reno or N. Nevada Bandsters out there???
drtnsnw replied to Success in lapband's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My wife and I have been doing a couple of things to help me out. Becasue I work such long shifts, I eat most of my meals at work. She picked up a mini blender for me and I take it to work. we also put the powder in labeled baggies so I can just dump them in. ICE HELPS!!! I blend ice up with my shakes and it makes them much better. Chris -

Makes it taste pretty gross I am gonna call DR gansers office in the AM and see If I can reschedual my preop appt. It is on thursday and if I can get it redone I can go snowmobiling on thursday!!! This will probably be my last trip this year so I am really hoping Chris -

Well, I ended up getting the flu yesterday and having to cancel a snowmobile trip today. I have a 24 hour long day today so I have had to extend all my drinks ot to make them last all night too and it SUCKS!!! I am super hungry right now and still want to wait a couple of hours till I have my next one. I do have my brocolli to eat at midnight so that will help. The shakes arn't too bad. I ended up liking the chocolate best and only ordered one jug of that. I am mixing a bannana and chocolate for one of my snack tonight so we will see how that is. OK, enough of me bitching ahah!! Not going into details cause I know some of you are on preop:) I did find my Laptop WAHOO now I just hope it stays there till Friday when I can go and get it! It is a HP Pavillion 9006. 17 inch monitor and all. Guy at the store says he is pretty sure it won't sell becasue it is a XP machine and everyone wants Vista right now. I can't wait Chris -

Pam, I am looking at a couple right now, both 17 inch monitors for watching movies. I have right at a grand so I am pretty limited on what I can find. There is a HP that I really like, but I am not sure if it will still be there next friday when I have the cash to get it. If it is, it is meant to be. If not I will find one. I had an old Compaq LT that was pretty good, but it caught on fire at work a couple of months ago haha!! It doesn't need to be the best out there I just use it with my GPS, to watch movies, internet, and to download info from my Snowmobile(most important:) ) As for the dressing, have you tried Balsalmic vinager yet? might give it some ZIP. Gail, ticker looks good now Chris -

drtnsnw replied to Success in lapband's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Pam, Sorry about that! Why did they saythey pushed it back?? I must have been more tired than I thought huh! WHen you deal with these med types, you have to remember they are going to tell you the worst cases so you can be prepared for all the different problems you may have. It doesn't really bother me, but most of my family is in the medical field so I have been around thiis stuff alot. Keep your eye on your main goal. Remember, what your life would be like if you didn't take control now. I know I would be in worse shape in 5 years! I personally know 2 people who have had the band in the last year and they are both doing GREAT!!! I also know a couple of people who have had the RNY one being my Mom. The complications and dangers of that are MUCH MORE Serious!! Keep after it, you will be fine Chris -

I have been lost since my old LT caught on fire before Christmas. Just went POOF!!!! HAHA! Later guys Chris

Pam, I should have gone up and said hi, but I was pretty tired from working last night and having a hard time staying awake haha!! Looks like you and I will be in the surgery center at the same time too. What time is your surgery now?? I am not chlosterphobic, someone got up and gave me there seat so I just figured I could do the same. I always try and leave a room better than when I came i guess. I ordered my Bariatrix today, Steph talked me into getting the chocolate too so I got one of each and 2 of the Vannilla. Now I have a ton of reading to do See ya Chris -
You should see them come off pretty quick. I weigh everyday and somtimes I can see a 3 or 4 lb swing. I think it is Water weight more than anything and you body is adjusting to something. Chris

Not only is my wife coming to the hospital with me, but she is also coming to the preband class tomorow. SHe is the one that cooks our meals and this is the training that will teach us how to eat after the band. The more involved the better from what I have seen so far Chris
