OK guys, Less than 6 hours and I am in for surgery!!!!!!! Been working all night shoveling snow. Been waiting all year for this storm and it dumps on the night before my surgery. Drank my last shake at 2am and after all the shoveling I am dying for something to drink. Oh well, guess I will have all I can drink in about 14 hours:) Neal, you really are what I strive for with this band. I have not seen 180 since hi school, glad to see I might be able to get close again Chris

Surgery is not till 1:30!! Of course I have to work all night tonight and with this weather I am going to be in the tractor all night plowing snow!! Word of caution to all renoites, stay off the roads tonight!!!! It is awful out there. Took me 1.5 hours to get to work! Chris

I am having mine done in the same surgery center as Pam tomorow. My wife had surgery in the hospital a few weeks ago and I am very glad to be having it done where I am, if for no other reason than the comfort of my wife and Mom who will be waiting for me. Waiting in the Hospital for my wife sucked!! The waiting rooms in the SC are great!! I would not hesitate using mine, but if you are ask to be shown around. They should show you the facility and you can see how it is for yourself Chris

Won't be spending the night, I want to get home asap!! She is one of the night recovery nurses, but I don't knoww when she is working there. I am getting pretty excited about this getting on. I will post from the hospital for sure. the new laptop is pretty nice. It is pretty tough where we ride sleds, I will ask Dr Ganser when I talk to him either at the surgery, or postop when i can ride agin. we went out today and it was a complete white out!! we spent all morning digging sleds out that were stuck in over 4 feet of fresh powder!!! Dr Ganser it awsome!! Really put me at ease. I just wish I liked my GP as much as I do him. Chris

cant believe how much one little chicken breast lifts my spirits!!! I feel tons better today and have not been hungry all day. I actually had to make myself stop this AM to sit down and have a shake. I talked about the diet today and he told me that I was doing well enouhj that I could have some protien. I had chicken tonight and for the snowmobile trip on Sunday he said to take some protien bars from Fresh energy bakery. They are pretty awsome!! On the ay home today, I had the worst craving for Burger King so instead of that I came home and had a salad with tuna fish and vinager and it was good. Chris

He was really happy with my progress and all looks good for a tuesday band YAHOO!!!!! Going snowmobiling one last time before going under the knife sunday can't wait for either! my wife just had a bunch of adheasions removed last month. It was causing her some pain and they thought it was a cyst. Glad to hear you are feeling good. hope yuor recovery is quick, Steph was back to normal in just a few days. I saw Dr ganser today for my last preop appt. He said I was doing great and answered some questions for me. He is so much more aproachable than my regular doc. Makes it nice. get tp feeling better Pam, and kick ass about thr wifi:) Chris

when I went on my preop diet 10 days ago, the first 3 days were AWFUL!!! It was so bad I cancelled a snowmobile trip ( I live to sled so this was a really big deal) becasue I could not leave the toilet! After about day 5 I started having regular although small BM's. Hope this helps. BTW, I only have 4 days left of this Hell!!! Chris

I would not hesitate to go in early. SCOR is really nice and they just got all new furniture in the loby. Super plush leather haha!! Mom said one of the neuro surgeons just bought it Hang in ther Pam, we are thinking about you Chris

hang in there Pam!! People just don't get it sometimes. Funny you mentioned moving though, I have a buddy of mine that asked me to help him move the first week of march and I had to tell him no. He was pretty understanding though. Make sure when you are recouping you make yourself #1!! get better fast and then time to move along. Chris

good news, I am down 2 more today!!!! I am going home that day unless something unforseen happens. My surgery is not till 1:30 and I work all night before so it is gonna be a long wait:( So how was work today Red?? I actually have 10 days off before I am do back, but I have 12 hour shifts first day backfor 5 straight.no fun there. Pam, you are almost there WAHOO Chris

thanks all! Have not cheated once!! Now i am on the downhill slide. 7 more days to go. Something I have been wondering about, my dietitian said to have a good meal the day before surgery, did anyone elses say this? Did she just forget about this liquid diet?? Chris

Hey guys!! Just stopping by. Got on the scale when I got up today and I an down another 3!! Wife asked me if I could just stay on this diet tilll I lost it all:) Thought I was gonna KILL her!!! My wife said she is about to throw me out of the house though, I guess this is turning me into a real bear! If I don't get rid of these headaches soon, I am gonna explode!! ANy good ways to get rid of the headaches?? Chris

I quit using the flavors too. What I do like though is to mix the chocolate and bananna. NOT TOO BAD. The lettuce /vinigar is pretty good too. I also like broccoli with ground seasalt and garlic Chris

I never thought about Ketosis!! I will have to go and test myself. I have some strps from when I was on one of my 100 atkins phases!! I do know my wife yelled at me because thursday and friday I only ate about half of my shakes I was supposed to! Just did not feel like eating. I am on the Bariatrix plan. 11 scoops of meal replacement a day and 2 cups of veggies Chris

I lost 7 punds in 3 days when I started my liquid!! I need to go get on the scale today, we were out snowmobiling ALL DAY and I bet I lost at least a couple Pam, I have heard the South Meadows group is way better. I just didn't see the point of the one I went to. Guess I get enough from my family and the people here. I may try and go to one of the others, but I am a scout leader and our meetings are on thursday too. Chris

Well, I have been on the liquid diet for 3 days now. Sounds like our DR's in Reno have some of the most restrictive liquid diets around! Can have 2 cups of veggies a day with 11 scoops of Bariatrix shakes and LOTS of water. My wife is a real trooper!! Her and my son have taken to eating in our camp trailer when I am around, I am not sure if it is for my benefit or for there fun, but it really helps. I think they like the idea of campin out haha!
