    Slipping Slowly.......

It sound to me like you are doing good. It is ok to eat chinese food and the fact that you ate a smaller amount tells that you are doing what you are suppose to be doing. The more fills you get the less you will eat.

  5. How funny, I was banded May 10 and I am in the exact same boat as you. I also have just had my first fill last week and still feel hardly any restriction. I can eat a pretty good amount, more then I want to. I feel like I need another fill asap. What sucks is all these people saying, " how much did you loose?" I also thought the weight would just start falling off, May be I need to be more patient.
  6. I am not that well endowed but enough that it made my post op healing longer. My bigger inscisions healed much quicker then the ones under my boobs. I actually had to use triple antibiotic ointment cause they started getting infected. But it's been 15 days out and all is well.
  7. Hey! Congrats on your surgery :) We were banded the same day! You asked about my stitches, I was banded in Frankfurt, Germany. I wish they had used the glue like they do in the states.

    How are you feeling?

  8. Are you guys getting all the protein you need? I was told I had consume 64 grams of protein a day. Doing that alone is almost 400 cal, That's with the Whey protein drink and a protein shot drink.
  9. I think it was like 290 calories and I only ate half so not to bad.
  10. I am on my second stage of the post op diet, cream soup, yogurt and such. I had the cheddar broccoli soup from Panera the other day and it was awesome. I was full after a half a bowl.
  11. Has anyone out there tried drinking prune juice as a natural type laxitive?
  12. I had surgery on May 10, but I haven't really eaten enough to work up a poop. What should I expect?

    When could you ride?

I don't know how Nobodys girl rode the day of her surgery. I could barely walk, there was no way I could ride not even on the back, This is my 5th day post op and I still have a good amount of pain. I guess if you have a light bike you might be able to do it, mine weighs about 700 lbs. but You don't want to take a chance in slipping your band then you would have to go back in for surgery to get it fixed.
  14. I was banded on 5/10, one day before you. The program I am on with Wellspan had me on the liquids for 3 days then moved me to stage 2 which is the greek yogurt and cream Soups which really seem to fill me and are very satisfing. I don't think what you are doing is hurting or stretching you or else they wouldn't allow it in my program, and the yougurt and stuff go right through, but they sure fill me up. Also Applesauce. Try not to get depressed, this time will pass before you know it.
