My friend told me about this site. I am actually a post op gastric bypass patient. I began my journey at a whopping 328 pounds. I was miserable. I wore a size 26/28. I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol, major depression, anxiety, GERD.
On November 10, 2010 I had gastric bypass. It was the best decision I ever made. Now, I no longer have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, depression or GERD. I have ran a total of three 5K races (3.1 miles) and one 10K (6.1) race. My goal now is to train for a 1/2 marathon.
I hate life as an obese woman, but I'm loving life now as a healthy and happy woman for the first time in a very long time.
