Best of luck to all of us! I had my surgery November 4th. I still have pain at the site of the port, but otherwise am doing pretty well. I am on the pureed food phase, and it's going fine. Are the rest of you still having pain at the port site? -
Throat / Upper Chest Pain Post OP?

Hi Everyone. I got my band last Thursday, and am down 6 pounds so far. I'm psyched about that! I've been feeling some pain in my lower throat / esophagus / upper chest when drinking. Am I drinking too big a swallow, or is this normal with the tube I had down my throat during surgery? Thanks for any feedback! -

Congrats and good luck to all of us! We're doing what is best for ourselves, and we should all be proud of that fact. My surgery is Thursday, Nov 4th, and I can't wait to start the next part of my life. All the best! -
Thanks for the support everyone! I'm very excited, and am following my doctor's instructions. I'm on Opti-Fast now, and have lost ten pounds so far, which is a great motivator. Good luck to all of us!

I'm scheduled for my surgery in five days. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I'm looking forward to connecting with others who can help me through the adjustment period, and I'll be happy to pay it forward.

Hi Everyone! My surgery date is Thursday, Nov 4th. I'm into day 5 of Opti-Fast, and have lost 9 pounds already! That's a good feeling. I'm looking forward to my surgery, and wish all of us November-banders the best of luck!
