I agree Niecy, shout it to the roof tops, if I'm reading this right, when you hit the big 100 goal it will be within the first six months since your surgery. That is WAY FLIPPIN COOL!!!!!!!!!!:clap2: :clap2: I would be turning cartwheels, I can not wait to lose 100 - but right now I'm looking for the 50 and I have about 12 to go for that little goal. Is it amazing to see how much different you look and feel??? Same question goes for Ms. Tann, do you have a permanent smile on your face and a "I'm kickin butt and taking names attitude" I'm feeling pretty good today myself, because I went to dinner last night with some friends that I hadn't seen since surgery and they were Wowed by what a difference the 38 pounds had made. I can imagine what old friends say when they see you guys. Celebrating our 2 year anniversary this week-end with a romantic trip (means no kids!!!!) to Dallas to stay at the Hyatt and a fancy dinner. Looking forward to it - and planning on burning off any extra calories I might consume - if you know what I mean!! Later,

Hello everyone, Congrats Tann on that wonderful accomplishment, I bet you are feeling great right now!! Congrats Niecy on your 2 pounds - that is awesome. I started off a little shaky this week by over doing carbs which made me have a major mood swing (my poor teenager felt my wrath when he copped an attitude over doing the dishes) but I regained control yesterday and today is going great. I'm off to do my lunch time work out and then I'll eat my tuna and be totally back on track. I'm probably not going to weigh again until next week because I seem to do better when I have more time between weigh ins. The clothes are my victory right now because I have been able to wear a lot of stuff from my closet that hasn't seen the light of day for a couple of years (fortunately the clothes are still in style!!) Later ladies, keep up the good work!

Hey everyone, I was so swamped at work last week, that I didn't even have time to log into LBT - not that I was missed, but I did miss reading everyones ups and downs. Looks like we had more downs than ups, and that is a great thing! Congrats to all you losers, and to those that are struggling, you are doing great because you haven't given up. It is inspiring. I will add to the losers group, I lost 4 more pounds for a total of 36 (oops, got to adjust my sig!), I think the brain side of all of this is finally sinking in. Eating too much, makes you sick, duh!! I had an NSV on Friday night - I went to a get together at some friends house and they had lots of great looking food (brisket, beans, potato salad) and I just sat at the table and visited while they ate their food and saved my tummy room for a glass or two (okay it was 3) glasses of wine instead. It was okay to be in a social situation and not to eat - it was actually quite empowering to realize after 43 years of fighting this fight, that I can have the power over the food and I get to decide what is best for me. It also helps that I people are really starting to notice the weight loss now and the clothes are looking a lot better. EVeryone have a great week - I really want to be part of the group, so I will try and not miss a week again. Later,

After work yesterday I did another cardio work-out and ran into my hubby at the gym so we played Raquetball - so all total yesterday I did 1.5 hours of cardio exercise plus my nightly stretching (it was a good day!) The DH went to the store and got my soup for dinner and instead of regular tomato he bought the creamy tomato (190 calories) and let me tell you, that stuff was yummy! I put a little Mozzarella Cheese and garlic powder in it and I was in heaven. It was so good, that I'm having it for supper tonight because there is a meal before the production at church and I don't want to be tempted so I'm taking my soup with me. Yeah Tann, on the pound - I'm a little nervous about good choices on Sunday too, because my MIL is a really good cook and always makes great desserts. My loss this week has really motivated me to see more results, so maybe I will be okay. Today's menu is - B-Oatmeal L - Tuna Pack Dinner - Creamy tomato Soup and maybe a snack when I get home if I'm really hungry (because that adds up to less that 500 calories) Work-out - Lunchtime cardio 40 minutes and of course gallons of water!! Have a blessed and wonderful day everyone.

Just got back from having a fill (my last freebie, since I'm almost 3 months out) and I have lost 4.5 lbs (yeah!!) I haven't been weighing on a regular basis because the scale is my enemy especially when I'm working out - so any loss is a good loss. Today: B-Oatmeal L- leftover grilled fish and vegetables D - tomato Soup (because of the fill) I'm also leaving right now to get in my second workout of the day because we don't have church tonight for a change. Later,

Dinner last night was a grilled hamburger patty with onions and mushrooms (Yummo!) Today - B- Oatmeal L- Grilled Fish (going out to eat with a friend, but I picked a restaurant where I can eat healthy) D- Probably just grilled veggies, because the family is having steak Last night - I put my workout clothes and did some stretching and Yoga while watching TV - my 8 year old and DH joined in - it was a lot of fun. No lunch work out today, so I'm going to have to fit in Cardio tonight (maybe walking during the little league game) Keep up the good work everyone, you guys are keeping me motivated. Later

B - inside of a breakfast burrito (egg and sausage) L- Chicken Salad & Carrots D - ?? Exercise - Lunchtime Cardio and afterwork Swim Water - 23 oz so far I really wanted to start my early morning stretching (yoga) this morning but I didn't get up, so that is the plan for tomorrow. I lost my mind on Saturday and ate 2 Snickers Ice Cream Bars and an Ice Cream Sandwich - CRAZY - have I mentioned lately that I need Diet Therapy!! Oh well, as we sing at church - it's a New Day, a New, New Day -

Good Morning ladies, It took me a while to catch up on the posts, and I think I only missed out for 3 days! That is great, lots of encouragement and discussion is going on. I am starting the Boot Camp Mentality today! I have been giving in to the evil temptation of Chocolate Easter Candy that someone brought to work and I'm not going to anymore. That has really been my weakness and of course I justify it because this has been a crazy busy stress filled week at work. No excuses though - we all know that it is just a mind game and my mind is made up. My goal is 20 pounds during boot camp and to exercise daily and get in all my water. Ready - set - go = SUCCESS:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Thanks for stepping up to be the leader Tann. Later,

Hey Tann, Since you are having such great weight loss, would you mind sharing your meal plans with us??? I've got the exercise thing down, but I'm still struggling with what should I eat, how much is too much, should I be doing more protein, yada, yada, yada. Later

I too have trouble with the one last bite syndrome - aaaggghhh will we ever learn??? I compare it to a dog and a wireless fence, eventually the dog avoids the fence all together but in the beginning he gets quite a few shocks! Later,

Dinner last night ended up being the toppings from two pieces of Supreme Pizza and some baby carrots. We had a meeting at church and I didn't have time to get something before hand. The Toppings were enough to fill me up and I was satisfied. That brings me to a question for you Angela (Avilla), I can't eat bread or pizza crust at all and I see on your food lists that you do 1/2 a sandwich pretty regularly - does bread not cause you to get stuck at all?? I haven't really tried to eat it - because I don't want to have a problem, so I was just curious!! Another church meeting this morning - so I had 2 cheese crackers for breakfast with my Starbucks Venti SugarFRee Hazelnut NonFat Latte. Later,
-
Oatmeal packet (regular flavor because that was all that was left in the box) and it tasted pretty good! bananna healthy choice beef bourbon steak 1/2 grapefruit Dinner is undecided, probably fish and veggies Worked out at lunch - did 25 minutes fat burning cardio plus arms and stretching (sweated like a PIG!) Week-end plans - meeting at church, work, and then I will find something interesting to do with my hubby since my kids are at their Dad's this week-end. Maybe Bowling or the driving range - something we don't do all of the time. Later,

Hey everyone, I made it through my fasting day yesterday unscathed! Today I had the morning off (a rare, rare, rare occasion) and instead of sleeping in and being a slug - I got up had my nails done and went to the gym before coming into work. I had a protein shake for lunch with some flax seed and bananna added to it and it was YUMMY!! Everyone is doing great, let's think about how much more energy we will have to enjoy Spring! I just love it when it's pretty outside and all of the flowers are blooming. Life is good! Later,

Congrats on the losses and more importantly congrats on sticking with it through the boot camp - ultimately sticking with it is what is going to make us winners this time in the BATTLE of the BULGE!!! I usually do my measurements on my bandiversary day (every month) but I think since we start a new boot camp I will measure tonight so I can have a good record at the end of the Boot Camp on how many inches I can lose. Anyone want to have a challenge on total inches lost during the bootcamp - I know that I'm motivated by competition. Any takers???? I wanna be a big loser like TANN!!!! I want to look better in shorts this summer, I want to actually wear shorts in public without being worried about my fat legs!! I want to be able to go to the public pool and not be concerned about who I might run into. Let's get it started!! Today - Protein shakes is all I'm having because I'm on a prayer fast for my church. Later,
-
The clothes thing is a great NSV!!! I bet you look a lot different in those smaller sizes! Way to go!!!!!!!! I'm ready for the new Bootcamp to begin. I've given up the scale for a month but I will report in on everything else. My goal is to be in my 18 jeans by May. When I started I was wearing 26-28 and I'm in some 20's now but mostly 22's. I'm still shopping in my closet until I get down under an 18. As usual, I'm losing inches and keeping the pounds. Bring it on - Spring Boot camp here we come.
-
Congrats Tann on your great loss this week!!!! Avilla, I am with you in the "I'm working my butt off, so why is the scale not moving club" and it SUCKS!!!! In our minds we know about the whole muscle weighing more than fat and all of the other stuff - but we still want that number to move on the all important scale. I've decided that I am going to quit measuring my success on a piece of electronic equipment. Instead I am going to see that I feel better, I look better and I'm in better shape. I am being a better influence on my kids because they are exercising with me and the scale can kiss my butt. I am more than a number, and so are you, so let's give up the scale for a month and see what happens. After all, I only weigh myself when I'm trying to lose weight. I hardly ever was scale obsessed when I was eating my way up to 310 pounds so maybe if I give up the scale the pounds will go away the same way they appeared - silently - MAYBE - this will be the secret to my success!!! Later, :faint:
-
Congrats on the tub thing, I love to soak, I just can't wait for my butt to not be the damn that keeps the water behind me even if I let the drain out!!! I'm outta here for the week-end - teenager's hog the computers at home so I probably won't check back in until Monday. Here is to better food choices over the week-end and lots of exercise!!!
-
Tann, You not only lost a whole lot of weight, you lost a lot of years too!!!! You look great, so much younger, you must have started your job when you were really young!!!!! Thanks for sharing the pics.
-
I thought the new bootcamp was starting on 3/21 when this one ended? Where is the sarge to set me straight????? Tann, you might need a second job or a second mortgage to support three male teens and their eating habits (and let's not even talk about the friends that come over and pig out!!!!) Lot's of cereal and peanut butter!
-
Hey Tann, How old are your boys??? Have they reached the eating you out of house and home stage????? My 17 year old is a 315 pound Offensive Linemen and my 14 year old has "hollow leg syndrome" - my grocery bill is outrageous, and I'm trying to keep it healthy too!!! AAAACCCCKKKKKK

Stop..... Don't let your son get hooked on Starbucks - they should put a warning label on their cups, because that stuff is addicting. I've limited myself to week-ends only, during the week, I drink my coffee at work so I don't need to stop, but on the week-ends my hubby usually will go get me my Venti-sugarfree hazelnut-non-fat-latte on Saturday and on Sunday I get my fix at church (yes, we have a real starbucks in our church lobby) they even got Sugar Free Hazelnut just for me!!!!! Lots of fire training up here, sometimes you think that a bomb has gone off on the outskirts of town because of the smoke at the training center - and boy in the summers when the firemen were in town...... Yowza, of course this was only exciting when I was Single - haha :clap2: So next week when bootcamp officially starts - what will we be expected to do - journal here everyday or what??

I'm 43, married (2 years in April) with three sons who are 17, 14, and 8 - I was a single Mom for 8 years before my eyes were opened to see my soul mate who had been my "friend from church" the whole time I was single. I have been overweight my whole adult life losing and gaining 80 pounds a couple of different times through diet and exercise. Before my band I hit my all time high and felt my all time worst. My life was great but my body was hurting all of the time and I just want my body to feel and look as good as I feel inside. I work at Texas A&M University in the Athletic Ticket Office, so I work a lot of events and crazy hours (that is why I'm here during Spring Break and most people are off) but I've decided to make my work-outs a priority no matter what time of day I need to do them. Work-outs aren't the problem, the food and lack of self-control are. I'm hoping that by making myself accountable to my BootCamp buddies, I can be successful! Thanks for introducing yourselves, it is fun to find out where everyone is and why they are on this journey. Blessings to my new friends,

Hello everyone, Tann, you look gorgeous, what a great picture!!! I want to see the before, they are always so inspirational. This thread makes me feel better because I know I'm not the only one that has a scale that is stuck (Misery loves company, but at least this company isn't giving up hope!!) I continue to work out every day, even though my regular work out partners all took off for Spring Break, I've been going to the Rec by myself or getting my family to meet me (I had a great work out yesterday playing raquetball with my 14 year old - after he kicked my butt, I moved to another court with the 8 year old because we were a little more evenly matched!). I also called my doctor and scheduled another fill for Monday - apparently when she didn't put enough back in after she took it out on Tuesday because I have NO Restriction and I need it so I don't eat everything but the kitchen sink (if I had more self control, I wouldn't need the band!) Fortunately, I don't have to wait for weeks before they can get me back in (glad to be in a small town). Anyway, enough jabbering about me - I'm ready for Boot Camp to start and for everyone to have much success. You guys obviously know each other pretty well - do you mind doing little mini bios, so I can get to know my bootcamp buddies better?? Later,
-
Thanks Sarge for the instructions - I will do as I am told! I'm going in to the Doctor this morning for a fill. I'm hoping for a loss but the scales at the gym haven't really moved much since I started working out everyday. Water, Water, Water today and water aerobics tonight!! Glad to hear you have pretty weather in Missouri, it is Spring Break here and of couse that means it is cold and rainy - last week was beautiful and I'm pretty sure next week will be beautiful too, but Spring Break week is alway yucky! Have a blessed day everyone. Morning, congratulations on the baby!! Amy (relative newbie here)

Looking forward to it, thanks!!!
