Hi,
In 2010 I had the lapband. It worked GREAT at first. Lost 60 pounds, but alas as I started to have issues eating certain foods, it became a problem and i guess over time i learned to eat around it and put the weight back on. Two years ago I got myself back into the gym and lost 40 pounds and was doing well. It all took a turn when my MIL was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and came to live with us. The next 10 months were just horrible, though i'm sure it was hell for her. :( Anyways, back on went 20 lbs as i my ability to get to the gym was less & less. After mom passed away, i was back in the gym full swing, eating better but still struggling with the healthy foods and my band. So 10 months of the gym and no weight loss, i was at the doctor asking for the band to come out. I was done with it. It would now be Nov 2016 and Doc talked to me about a revision. So here i am today1 1/2 weeks post op for my sleeve on 01/23/17. I started in Nov at 254 and currently sit at 219. PATIENTLY waiting to get back into the gym and start my strength training again. March can't come soon enough! :)
