I began going through the process of getting the lap band two years ago.  During that time, I was seeing another doctor for the surgical procedure, their office was not sending me to the classes my insurance was requesting me to do.  One month prior to re-filing with insurance, I found out I was pregnant.  A year and a half later, I started with the paperwork and classes all over and obtained a different doctor.  Within 6 months I was approved for the lap band procedure and had my surgery on September 8, 2010.
