About Me
I am 33 years old and have been overweight all of my life. I have never been considered by standards as "skinny" I have always been the girl that everyone told, "You have such a pretty face" I always assumed that since people needed to give me a compliment, go for what is easy.
I have a wonderful supportive husband that has watched me struggle with my weight most of my adult life and gives me unmeasurable support with my wls decision.
I have a daughter that is 13 and I see her as a beautiful young woman and I would love to be able to do more with her physically and teach her how to live a healthy life.
All of my life any special functions revolved around food. Weddings = food, Baby Shower = Food, Funerals = Food. So naturally I have carried on the family tradition and have found joy, comfort and love with food.
My family has always struggled with weight and health related problems due to the excess weight. My mother struggles to move because she is so overweight. Both of my sisters that are younger than myself have both been diagnosed with Diabetes.
My father recently passed away from complications of Diabetes at the age of 59. My father was in total renal failure and went to dialysis 3 times a week. He suffered with heart trouble and liver disease. All was connected back to his weight.
I scheduled my surgery and have decided to dedicate my wls and all of my efforts to my father.
Thank you Daddy for being my inspiration for my life changing surgery.
