    my first fill today

    I am going for my first fill today. I am a little nervous because I only lost 10lbs. however I have been exercising and feel leaner. I am hoping this fill gives me real restriction..

  6. Lacey: Honestly you need 2 to 3 weeks to fully recover. Hang in there. You should walk but do not do any lifting. you may also experience some shoulder pain. Try gas X and take it easy. You will feel better in no time..:tt2:

    Frustration with Clothes!!

    Nellie: That is great. I do understand how you feel about your clothes. We spend thousands of dollars on our wardrobes. However you are now going to be able to wear things you couldn't wear before. You can always sell your clothes to consignment stores and put the money toward a new wardrobe. Just think you will be able to build a new improved wardrobe..
  8. Rose I am going threw the exact same thing. I am seriously considering cutting out the morning shake. I am going for my first fill tomorrow and have just begun to exercise. I too have only lost 10lbs since surgery on 10-28 I have 60 to 70 lbs to lose. I am going to try very hard to not compare myself to other people. I currently weigh 223lbs or 225lbs and I am 5'5. Maybe many people with a lot more weight loss have better metabolisms or more weight to lose. I am trying to exercise even if it is for 20 minutes a day. Let's keep our chins up. This is not a magic bullet its a tool.

    not losing weight...

    :thumbdown:I was banded on 10/28. I lost 10lbs quickly and that's it so far. I am eating less and trying to follow a protien diet. No carbs. I started exercising this week to see if that helps. If it doesnt I am stopping those protien shakes for breakfast. I really don't feel like I am eating to much or cheating. I don't really have restriction yet. I am a little dissappointed that I have not lost more weight.

    A New Life

    I was banded on 10/28. I lost 10lbs quickly and that's it so far. I am eating less and trying to follow a protien diet. No carbs. I started exercising this week to see if that helps. If it doesnt I am stopping those protien shakes for breakfast. I really don't feel like I am eating to much or cheating. I don't really have restriction yet. I am a little dissappointed that I have not lost more weight.
  12. I am noticing that I have to tell people sorry I can't eat that way any more. My husband and I went out to eat alot, twice a week at least. We also really enjoyed cooking. Since being banded, I have noticed that I have to continually remind him I can't eat that way. I am having a really hard time setting a boundry with him. I almost feel too guilty to say no. I feel that I really need to talk to him but I don't want to hurt his feelings. I think we need a hobby together something active that doesnt revovle around food. I would appreciate any input..:scared2:

  14. I have cut out all carbs. I am basically living on chicken and fish. I feel like I am not loosing weight. Does any one have any diet advice. Should I go to weight watchers. Should I just do shakes. Please help..

    Noticing that i have to tell people I cant eat like that.

    Dana you are right my husband and I are trying to find new things to do together. I am trying to encourage him to walk with me. It's going to be a real adjustment for him too.
  17. Hi, today I am 2 weeks post op. I go for my first fill on Wednesday the 17th. I have noticed that I can not eat carbs or sugar because it immediately makes me gain or stop losing wieght. I am trying to stick to eating chicken and protein shakes with soy milk. Has anyone noticed that regardless of how little you are eating if it includes carbs or sugars you don't loose wieght.

    Hard Time

    it kills me to look at pictures of my self. I have allowed my self to gain so much wieght. I am noticing that I eat alot out of boredum and that my husband and i spent a lot of our recreation time going out to dinner. I need to make so many changes in my life. I need to change my relationship with food.

    1 week post op down 12 lbs.

    Hi I am 1 week post op today. I am eating soft foods but am noticing alot of places say you should do liquids for an entire month.. I would appreciate any thoughts. :cursing:
  22. I am glad you said you ate soft foods I had my surgery last week and I have also been having soft foods. If I over due it I feel stomach spasms almost like hiccupping. Has that happened to you???

    6 days post op and down 11 lbs..

    So i am 6 days post op and I am feeling really good. I have lost 11 lbs however I feel like I miss food.. I never realized just how much time I spent eating, cooking, going to dinner, planning meals. I have all this free time. So I am trying to walk and study.
