Sounds about right... Depending how much you need to lose the weight seems to fall off in the beginning if you are doing everything right which it sounds like you are. Good for you!!!
-
Have you spoken to your dr about working out a payment plan? You went to all the trouble of getting the band and I am sure you have been at least losing something is 2 years... Maybe he would be sympathetic to your need...

How Do You Continue To Lose After Liquids?
FLORIDAYS replied to SuzyMarie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will lose when you burn more calories than you take in no matter if it is liquids or solids. I ate 1000 calories each day during my losing stage and I lost no matter which form I took it in by. On liquids in the begininning it tends to come off more quickly so do not let that discourage you. But you should be able to lose an average of 2 lbs per week when moving to solids. Congrats on being down 30 lbs! -
Can You Eat Steak??
FLORIDAYS replied to spoiltmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love steak.... and sometimes my band loves steak. Other times it doesnt. That said...I wish there was a way to know... but since there isnt, I play it safe and always get a high quality beef of the most tender cut like filet or tenderloin. Sometimes a rib eye or prime rib is ok too. Then I just hope for the best. -
If You Could Only Give One Piece Of Advice To A New Bandit What Would It Be?

Best advice I ever got was to become one with your band... which is why I call it my permanent reminder of a temporary feeling! -
Difficulty Eating And Drinking Water!:(
FLORIDAYS replied to dalia93's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would call your Dr right now.. -
Oh yes... I am almost 2 years post op and some days I have trouble getting in all my food and other days I have no problems. One day I can eat chicken and the next day it wants to come back up. Same with several other things as well. My band is very finicky.

In Desperate Need Of Help, Support And Maybe A Smack On The Cheek
FLORIDAYS replied to allik07's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If it were me I would follow the advice above and I would call my Dr right away and get in to see him. In the meantime I would start counting calories and tracking my food on a phone ap. I would make sure my next meal and every meal after that consisted of the following 3 oz protien 1/2 c veggies 1/4 starch / carbs I would be strict with myself and no cheat... even a little until I saw dramatic results. I would ask myself...why do I want to stay fat when I have a tool to get thin? But most importantly I would do this for myself...not because my mother or someone else would be disappointed in me. Best wishes as you get your head back in the game. -
have you had a fill? Are you measuring your portions? Until you have fill restriction it's a hard time. If so then find something else to do instead of eat.... Doing something with your hands is a good start.... I have a friend who knits. She says it keeps her from eating because she doesn't want to get the yarn dirty. I

How Many Lbs Did You Gain
FLORIDAYS replied to Kami172000's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Are you tracking your food and calories? Are you measuring portions? I ask because I didn't have a gain during my journey and I did those things. Maybe it will work for you. If you didn't cheat with food might you have induldged in alcohol? Because that will make the scale soar. Retention of Water when drinking alcohol is usually an issue. -
I agrees with CHEZ call the dr or NUT and see what alternatives are available.

I had my last period during my pre op diet.....how weird is that.... It just stopped coming. I went to the obgyn after I missed the 2nd period because I was sure I was pregnant.... Not likely at 50 but crazier things have happened. She thought the surgery just delayed it awhile and told me to wait until 6 months post op and if I hadn't had it...come in for blood work. Which I did... And turns out she thinks the surgery sped up my menopause.... Because my estrogen level was very low. Well here I am almost 2 yrs post op and it never returned. So... In your case your body could be just jumbled up and you might get it again...or not. I would make an appoint ment with the GYN to get a feel for what's going on.

A Few Questions I Have About This Hole Thing And Lap Band Slipage
FLORIDAYS replied to mike gard's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Stop trying to justify your actions. You have come so far....now is the time to stop cheating and get your head in the game. As others said call the dr and maybe have him check for damage. speak to your dr about bandster hell.... The time before you are in the green zone. It's hard but not impossible. Then start with one meal at a time. When the feeling to cheat creeps up on you then find something to do and while you are going through the mental gymnastics ask yourself this question... Why am I willing to sabatoge my effort this far for a cookie? Do I want to be fat for the rest of my life? Only you can do this and since you got surgery I am guessing you must want the results pretty badly. Look at my profile... I was a happy fat girl...on the out side. Within I was miserable!! But now I am an ecstatic thin girl inside and out. That can be you in a very short time. I know my words sound direct and uncaring and at couldn't be farther from the truth... I just believe in honesty with myself and others... I wish you all the best. -

Goals For The Remainder Of 2012
FLORIDAYS replied to sbb1222's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lose 1 more lb by 12/9... so I can hit my original goal of 160 by my 2 year band anniversary. Lose 6 lbs by 12/18 the day I am having my tummy tuck and breast lift... and then lose 5 lbs of skin during surgery so I can be at my stretch goal of 150 by New years.
