    Congradulations on your first fill in. I wasn't as lucky, I have also my first fill in today, They only gave me 2cc. She said is do to my complaint about food getting stuck. But then i told her.. But I'm always so hungry between meals!! She says that im eating too fast and need to eat slow and they will add more to my next fill in:(

    Hi everyone, I'm so happy that everyone is doing so well, and that they are adapting to their fills. I enjoy very much reading everyone's comment and compare them to my own situation. Greatly appreciate any advice that you can share to my situation. I had my surgery on 8/26 and on my first week on liquids I lost 15 Lbs. then 2 Lbs. the second week. Now that I'm 4 weeks post up I gain 3 Lbs. and I don't understand how. I barely can keep anything down without getting stuck and I'm always starving. I've been putting some food in the processor and eating it like a soup. I'm supposed to go for my first fill on 9/26. But don't understand how that is going to work. If my problem my food getting stuck midway and always feeling hungry after an hour of eating a meal. I'm also eating more then 4oz. as I'm not measuring anymore (is soo time consuming) I must be eating at least 8oz in each meal.

    Hi, I did the sleep study before my surgery and they didn't found any sleep apnea. But now after surgery, I sleep in my bed half way seating and I wake up gasping for air in the middle of the night. I'm planning on discussing it with my doctor tomorrow and see what he says.

    Hi everyone, Not used to the posting on the site. Does anyone know how to the take the dublicates out? lol! But just wanted to congradulate everyone for their great job. I've been reading everyones post and is has motivated me in this journey we are facing together. Since my surgery on 8/26 I've already lost 13lbs. But then again I'm in liquids and my stomach is still healing. I'm not sure until when I will be still in liquids, but like most of you is not fun and it has become very tyring. I believe they said a week in liquids so most like by Saturday 9/3. I have my first post op appointment tomorrow 9/1. Is anyone having problems sleeping at night? throat dryness and breathing problems?

    Hi my name is Josie, I'm 42 yrs young, and my starting weight was 215 but the day of the surgery on 8/26 I was 221lbs. I just did a small celebration that week of what I wasn't ever going to eat. I am happily divorced and mother of a 21 year old young lady and a 18 year old young man. Right now my biggest issue is not able to take my meds without them getting stuck

    Hi healthy woman, Been thru that yo-yo dieting since my teenage years. It's been fustrating and depressing. Gaining more weight then I can loose. For me this is my last resort, and hopefully would not fail. I feel so much encoragements coming from everyone in this forum. I wish everyone success! Please keep me up to date with any of your hurdles(hopefully not any). Mine right now is being able to take my meds without them getting stuck! No matter how small I break them, they still get stuck. Ugh!!

    Hi A11 Bandsters! My name is Josie and I'm divorced with two adult chldren. I started with a size 18 at 221 lbs before surgery. I was banded yesterday morning. Was hoping to leave same day, but do to the anethisia needed to stay overnight. II had nasuea and was very dizzy. Now that I'm home I 'm just soo gassy and can't pass gas. My stomach feels like is about to explode. I wanted to know if any of you started taking Gas-X. They also gave me oxycodone, but even when I cut it in 4 pieces it gets stuck. So I've been taking Tylenol PM less side effects for me. I need to get used to this new tool I wish everyone the best of luck.

    Congradulations on your two week success And thank you for your encouraging words. I feel bad lying to my kids, but they won't understand. Its 7pm and I'm still at the hospital. Been sick with nausea and dizziness and only can hold 12oz per hour. What did you do with your gas pains. When I try yo burp it comes like a hiccup 

    I'm scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m. and I'm sooooo scared. I'm not sure if I made the right decision. I gave myself another year went to the gym 3 times a week. but only lost 10Lbs.!!! I haven't told anyone in my family, just my mom. My kids (21 & 18) don't know. I've been telling everyone that I'm getting a hearnia surgery in my stomach. Which is true also. Any encouraging words please pass them my way.

    Hi Randee & Marsha, How are you both doing after the surgery? Any regrets? I'm scheduled for 8/26 this Friday. Soo scared and not looking forward to the liquid week diet! Lol! I met up with Dr. Ewing. I think he is the greatest Dr. ever! He has the most pleasant bed side manner I've ever seen with any Doctor. I had an appointment with him at 5pm and didn' get to his office until 6:15p.m. and he still waited for me and and wasn't upset of me running late and answer all my questions and put my fears at ease. I'm happy I made the choice of having him do my surgery.

    Congradulations!! WOW!! 66lbs is a lot of weight. You should be so proud of yourself. I am very proud of your success. I'm sorry i didn't check up but I was going thru so much stomach issues and got depress that I couldn't get the surgery done last year as well. I would like to go to the HUMC mtg. is it free? at what time? Would you be there?

    Hi Corkee, Just wanted to know how you where doing. I got really sick and needed to go under treatment for HPylori for a couple months. My gastreonterologist didn't want me to go head with the surgery until everything was ok. Now they found that I have a hiatus hernia and a couple of ulcers.
