I decided on my return from my vacation on July 22nd, 2010 from the Caribbeans.  That I can no longer carry myself with this weight.  Is affecting me physically and emotionally. I have tried so many diets and failed. Never keeping the weight off.  Known of a few people who have done WLS and seen how happy they are for making such a decision.   I've decided on my return to call a referred Dr. by my friend.  When I did they had a seminar that same night.  This was meant to be!  I went and met Dr. Douglas Ewing and felt this is the surgeon who I want to do my surgery.  Now after accomplishing all my insurance requirements and 2nd insurance appeal, I would be going into surgery August 26th, 2011.  I have sign up to this site to find support and information of people who are or have gone thru Lap Band Surgery.
