I did enforce my will! I slept in til 9 am this morning and did not even hear him get dressed and leave at 6 am. Needless to say, he decided to take a shower after dinner and was ready like an energizer bunny. I think he must have decided not to wait til he "was tired"

That's weird because so many women get super horney because all the hormones are released from the fat cells. Are you not feeling well because you aren't able to eat enough? You need to eat small meals all day long then. Please feel free to message me because at 3 months, things should start becoming much easier.

Is There A Spell Check Here?
Oregondaisy replied to Oregondaisy's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
I just wondered why your program doesn't have spell check because (I'm sure you know we check all out OH) their tool bar has ABC right on it right next to the smileys. -
Kat I am so sorry you're going through this. I always feel so bad for anyone who ends up with complications, since I had such an easy time. It seems to me, everyone should. There is a whole forum on complications where I am sure would find a lot of people who had a really rough start. You mentioned you wish there were others who would come forward. I'm praying for you every day that you heal as soon as possible so you can start enjoying your new life.

Aren't Quest bars really expensive? The Power Crunch bars are only a little over $1. I think $1.14 at Walmart. What a good deal. I love them because they are sweetened with Stevia which is so much more natural than any of the other artificial sweeteners. Sugar alcohol and me do not get al ong at all either. I also love that they only have 10 carbs.

Help Me Decide: Dr. Kelly Or Dr. Garcia? Anyone Have Any Input?
Oregondaisy replied to WLJourneyJ's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
If you read in the 50's thread, Kat just got home from surgery with Dr. Garcia and has a horrible infection in her incisions. She has to have them drained and packed every day. I am sure all doctors have problems, but I thought you would like to be aware of this. I know I would if I were in the stage of choosing a surgeon. -

Thanks Alex. As usual, you're wonderful for staying on top of things so well around here. I appreciate that! -
Prescribed Phentermine? Stool Samples?
Oregondaisy replied to spiffikeen's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I never got any type of kit when I had to do it for the H Pylori test as well. I just took a big butter tub, washed it well so it had no signs of grease left, and used that and sealed it with the lid it came with. -
Surgery Biggest Mistake Of Life!
Oregondaisy replied to Shelby21's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Your original post was at the beginning of April. Are you still feeling terrible? Walk as much as you can, and put a heating pad on wherever it hurts. Take gas x and call your surgeon and describe this pain. Do not let yourself get dehydrated, because that causes a whole host of additional problems. Are you sipping on fluids? You might want to take a stool softener as well. -
Are There Any Single Sleevers Out There..
Oregondaisy replied to kwyant1976's topic in Singles Forum
We had a singles forum going on here at one time. I wonder what happened to it. -
Member Spotlight In The BariatricPal Newsletter
Oregondaisy replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I agree. Tiffy and I joined right about the same time, and she was sleeved right after I was. We kind of held each other up while we were waiting for more people to learn about Sleeve Talk. She has so much knowledge and experience with complications, having gone through them herself. She is a wealth of information. -
How Much Should The Surgery Cost?
Oregondaisy replied to futuregirl1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Dr. Aceves charges 8750 which includes everything, other than airfare. They pick you up at the airport, take you for all your preop tests, take you to the beautiful hotel and pick you up in the morning for surgery. You're hospitlized for 3 days then picked up and returned to the airport. -
So what kinds of things are people finding they use as their "go to" food they grab in a hurry. Mine is baby bell light cheese. At night, I have to have a 100 calorie pack of chocolate dusted almonds. I've just recently gotten started eating Jerky. I bought some turkey jerky at costco the other day, and I really like it.

Is There A Spell Check Here?
Oregondaisy replied to Oregondaisy's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
I read the article, and I checked my options on firefox. I had check spelling as I type checked. Like I said, on other websites, the red line shows up when I spell something wrong, but not here. I just typed a word and spelled it wrong on purpose and no red line. weird. I've even right clicked and clicked on check spelling and nothing happens. Luckily, usually I am a good speller, I think. -
I wish I knew how to make links. Somebody is going to have to show me sometime. Go to the food forum under Protein drinks and look for the thread "places to get samples" then on that list, is the phone number for Syntrax. Just call them and tell them you would like to order the sample packet. You get one of every flavor and I think there are 14 and I think it's $14 including shipping.

Is There A Spell Check Here?
Oregondaisy replied to Oregondaisy's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
Firefox and it's weird. Normally, if I spell something wrong, there is a red line under it. For some reason when I post here, I never see a red line, even if I am not sure I spelled something right. -
Are you talking about the posting on June 22 on this thread? it talks about your horrible ordeal, but does not mention the surgeon's name. I was able to find it on another thread that you posted on. I hope you are feeling better. This has to be so rough on you. I feel just horrible for you. This should have never happened!!

Funny, I have never even heard of these. They really do sound handy. I will have to keep my eyes open.

How Much Should The Surgery Cost?
Oregondaisy replied to futuregirl1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is a really hard question to answer. The surgeons each have their own fee. Find out what it covers when researching which surgeon you want to do your surgery. Do you want to be in a hospital, in case of complications? Some surgeons send you to a recovery house, which is not a hospital. -
Kat, I hope you don't mind me asking, but I feel that people searching out their choice of surgeons need to know when things like this happen. Please share who your surgeon was, so that it will be possible for you to help someone. I am sure that they would find this very useful when trying to decide.

Beware:bowel Movement Question!
Oregondaisy replied to Cobrargc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey, at least you're going! We get way more posts on here from people who haven't gone for days, and are uncomfortable. Frequent need to use of Miralax and Milk of Mag is another common complaint. Try experiementing with benefiber in your Water, and adding different vegetables to your diet. You are far enough out now that you should be able to eat a wider variety of veggies. -
Help With Overeating
Oregondaisy replied to tinfoil_heroine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
you need to measure your food at this point. When I first started out, I used to eat these tiny cans of chicken salad. That seemed to be the perfect amount for me. That was what I used to measure food. If I was out and didn't have the measuring device with me, I had to picture (sounds gross) my food chewed up. Then I decided if that amount would fit in that can. A lot of people use a 1/3 or 1/2 cup to meaure. Eating with the sleeve is a learing experience. Find out how much you can comfortably eat, and then measure your food so that is the amount ( or less if you find yourself getting full sooner) you eat each time. -
I'm not surprised to hear about these injuries. When Zumba first started here, there were quite a few places holding the classes. Two places have closed down completely because so many people were gettng injured.

Sooo Many Questions.... No Answers :(
Oregondaisy commented on ~*~ Melissa ~*~'s blog entry in Melissa's Blog
www.obesityhelp.com is a good website. There is a lot of information there. As far as protein drinks go, you need to check out the food forum under protein drinks. There are places you can order samples. It's best to do samples until you settle on something you like. Most people end up liking something after surgery, than they liked before surgery so it's best not to stock up on a lot of anything. It depends on your BMI on whether or not you will have to drink them pre-op or for how long. You will definitely need them after surgery. If you have a costco, the Premier protein drinks seem to be something everyone agrees on and is extremely popular.
