I have a little $19 Hamilton Beach that does a great job pulverizing/shaving ice to make smoothies. I had a magic bullet but I wore it out. This cheap little Hamilton Beach is still going strong. I got it at Walmart.

I Definitely Regret Surgery.... So Far!
Oregondaisy replied to jasleeve's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It will stop eventually. Find out if you're anemic. Anemia can cause hair loss too. I was anemic and I had a hard time getting it to grow back in. The hair loss slowed down, and finally stopped, but it was a long haul. -
I lost half my hair. I used Biotin for months before and after surgery and took hair and nails Vitamins. I got all my Protein in every day during the post op diet and every day since. When it grew back in, it grew back in curly. I've never had curly hair in my life. It's been really different for me to get used to curly hair.

Nsv... I Went From 5:45 Am To 5 Pm Without Using My Wheelchair...

this post really made my day! The sleeve is such a blessing and I am thrilled for you! -
Those calcium chews you can buy in the store are the wrong kind of calcium. We need calcium citrate, not calcium carbonate. Calcium carbonate is hard to absorb. I think the Sytrax Nectar drinks are way better than Isopure. The sample packet is a really good deal. There is a whole list of places to get samples if you look in the food forum under protein drinks. That way, you can try a few things without having to get stuck with a bunch of stuff you don't like. I am so glad my Walmart carrys the Power Crunch bars. They are so yummy. It's hard to just eat one. I want another one later .200 calories is a lot of calories though, so I have to be careful. They are the cheapest place I've found them.

I'm Being A Hypocrite, Aren't I?

You can't help who you're attracted to. Online dating can be fun and a real pain, too. It took me 5 years of meeting a lot of weirdos, as well as nice guys who I just wasn't attracted to, but I finally found me man I've been with for the last year. You should also look at profies at plentyoffish.com. You can always hide your profile and just look around. If someone interests you, drop them a friendly "Hi" As for this guy, go out with him and if you decide you don't want to see him again, just tell him he's a wonderful guy, but you didn't feel the spark you feel you need to continue a relationship. Keep practice dating, and you'll find the person who is just right for you! -

I've tried to go off of my PPI . I was off of it for 6 months and decided the acid wasn't worth it. Now I take it every other day. I can sure tell when it's time to take it. I take protonix. -

Post Surg Pain Meds Question
Oregondaisy replied to shellynaylor's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Most people don't really have a lot of pain with this surgery. Ultram is a non narcotic pain med. I didn't even use any pain medication and I've heard of a lot of people who use liquid tylenol. -
Add popcorn to the list. I hate that I can't seem to say no at the movies. It's amazing how much popcorn I can eat, but give me something healthy, and I'm full way too fast.

What is skinny taste? I just opened my pinterest today so I have to figure it out, but having a WLS spot is a great idea!

Look on the ingredients. Does it say there is collagen in it? Collagen is made from boiled cow hides.

Yeah, I don' t have a smart phone . I hope to have one but I'm not getting one until I can get on a different cell plan. I hope I can learn to use one. I am not good with those types of things. I need to sit here with my lap top and add in all the foods I eat regularly and then it would be easier after that.

It seems difficult to add in all the foods that they don't already have on there. I know they definitely say people who track their food do the best, but I find it difficult to figure out my portion size to be able to track it. I don't measure my ketchup, and things like that. If anyone has any suggestions on how to make this easier, I would love to hear them. I am trying to take off the few lbs that I've gained back.

Help Me Find A Protein Supplement That I Like!
Oregondaisy replied to TMyers1471's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I haven't found one person who does not like Premier. You can get the nectar sample pack directly from Sytrax. The phone number is in the food forum under places to get samples under Protein drinks. -
My husband and I have complete opposite schedules. He is a complete morning person, and I am a complete night owl. This screws up our sex lives because he loves to wake me up way too early to get it on. I love sex and I'm ready for it most of the time. I tried to get something going this evening, and he was "too tired" so I got a little miffed, and thought "why should he always get his way?" So I told him not to wake me up in the morning. I am wondering ( now it's past 1 am and I don't even feel like heading to bed) if he's really going to be able to not wake me up. I know how long he can go in between I want quality, damn it! I am not going for a little quickie in the morning this time. evil grin....

Hey where did all the ladies go. I was kinda hoping to hear more about how everyone manages to fit in their new found sex life. Everyone seems to have more sex as they lose weight. Everyone just wait til the kids are in bed? Or do you get woke up at the crack of dawn before the kids are awake? curious minds want to know,,,,,,

I'm glad you're starting to eat more Kat. That's encouragaing and I am sure you'll heal better if you're able to keep your protein up. The first time I thought I was going to burst my sleeve it was also from mushy fish. It was so good. I didn't think I overate, but then 15 min later, I thought I was going to explode. I am sure you didn't hurt your sleeve in any way. You're in my prayers every day for a quicker recovery to feel better soon.

The brand is Genisoy. I used to be able to get them from Walmart but for some crazy reason, they don't carry them anymore. I've seen them at other grocery stores though. Now I get them where I get everything.... vitacost.com I get my Vitamins, shakes, Protein bars, just about everything there. shipping is free if you order $49 worth and I always order that much.

Post Op......diarrhea
Oregondaisy replied to skane10's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
probiotics do work wonders. So does Immodium, if it really becomes a problem.
