You can buy a really good pudding at the Vitamin shoppe. It's Pro Pudding by body tech. It's 25 grams of protein and 4 carbs. It's really good.

Its the ph balance of plain water. For some reason, our new tummies don't like that ph balance. You can try different brands of bottled water, and see if that helps.

What Do You Have For Foods And Drinks Daily? I Need Ideas Im Cleared Off For Regular Foods.
Oregondaisy replied to Karen2012's topic in Food and Nutrition
I've had a Protein Shake for breakfast every morning for over 5 years. lunch is usually leftovers from dinner. If not, I have Greek yogurt, lunch meat and cheese, sometimes 1/2 sandwich, sometimes salad with chicken mixed in, sometimes some sort of frozen lean cuisine but I don't eat the rice or Pasta . Dinner I make all sorts of stuff. Just regular recipes that my husband likes and I eat smaller portions without the potato or rice, etc. Meatloaf, steak, chicken fajitas, . I love those new cooking cremes with chicken or fish. -
Probiotics Yes Or No?
Oregondaisy replied to beachlover1129's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I take a probiotic, but I am 3 years out. How far from surgery are you. You can take big capsules after a couple of months, as long as you're able to get a lot of liquid down with it. -
That's a really good habit you have, tracking your food. I've never gotten into the habit of doing that. It just seems so difficult to find all the foods and figure out the portions. Like what is the portion of a handful of pretzels or a squirt of ketchup. Staying on track is so hard. The thing that keeps me watching what I eat carefully is the scale. I've gained back 10 from my lowest, but I've been maintaining at that for a very long time now.

Learning The Lingo, Abbreviations & Words To Learn
Oregondaisy replied to O.T.R. sleever's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You can always google net lingo and get a huge list. There are certain ones that are more WLS specific though, that aren't on there. All the common ones you'll see on other message boards such as DH and IMHO (in my humble opinion) type ones are there though. -

DH dear husband DS could be dear sister but it could also be another WLS that has malabsorption. -
Sugar alcohol is nasty. I can handle a tiny bit but I have to really watch the amount if it's in something. I get the caramel nougat Atkins and those only have 4 I think . I don't know why they put it in there. They had them before without sugar alcohol.

Honestly, and A cup is too big for me. It's insane.

If she is your friend, and not really his, I don't see why you can't just say "Hey, Joe is uncomfortable with you contacting him on fb. After all, he doesn't really know you, the way I do. Or he's not friends with you , the way we are. Good grief! She should just understand!

What kind of Vitamins are you talking about. You do need to spread calcium out so that you're not taking all of it at once. We're supposed to have 1500 mg a day, 500 at a time. You can't absorb more than 500 at a time. You also need to make sure it's calcium citrate, not calcium carbonate. Iron should not be taken within 2 hours of calcium. You can take calcium with a mulit though, and take iron separately. Iron is also absorbed better if taken with vit C. Mine has vit C right in it, It's from Bariatric Advantage.

I am still taking Protonix and I am past 3 years. I have tried to go off of it and it was no fun. I was off of it for 6 months and had horrible heartburn and acid problems the entire time. I thought it would go away, but it never did. I decided to start taking it every other day, and that works fine. I can sure tell when it's time to take one though.

I've done a lot of dating over the last 5 years. I always waited until I was sure we were in a relationship, until I told the guy. It's pretty easy to cover it up, by using all the excuses everyone mentioned here. If I did have to eat with someone, I usually ordered salad. I can eat a lot of salad, because lettuce chews up to nothing. Online dating can be fun, and it can also be sort of stressful. There are free sites, which are just as good as the paid sites, depending on the area you live in. I found that the same people were on all the sites here. Plentyoffish.com is a free site. So is okcupid. You can hide your profile and just look at guy's profiles, until you feel ready to drop someone a line, or see if anyone messages you. You can also search as a guy looking for a girl, so get an idea of which kinds of pictures to post, and get the hang of writing an upbeat, cheerful, friendly profile. obesityhelp.com has a singles forum that's pretty active. Everyone talks about all their dating adventures on there. I enjoy that forum, even though I met my bf from plenty of fish. We've been together for over a year now, and I am done with dating. We are getting married soon.

You have to buy them online. Oh Yeah bars are really good. They are 7 grams of carbs You can get them online at vitacost.com, which has all sorts of protein powders, vitamins, supplements, and everything else imaginable. You can also get them in health food stores like GNC but it's cheaper to get them online. Power Crunch bars are really good and have 10 grams of carbs. Just watch the carbs. It's better to have more protein than carbs. Most protein bars are around 200 calories.

I would think so. When you chew them up, they disintegrate into nothing.
