    How Do U Maintain Weight

You should follow your doctor's plan. My doctor wanted us to stay around 800 -1000 calories, which is hard to do eating these things. While they are all healthy foods, they are high calorie foods. The thing that will stop weight loss is grazing. Eat your 3 meals and 2 Snacks and don't eat in between meals. The people who have success track their food on a program such as My fitness pal. A lot of people try to keep their calories there, and their carbs at around 30 grams. When you're first sleeved, it's hard to get in your calories, but as time goes on, your portions increase by quite a bit.
  2. Matrix Protein mix in chocolate, or banana, or orange cream. I like to add stuff in to make them delicious, such as the sf syrups and/or frozen berries. I do use premier that everyone likes, but I use it when I have to take protein on the go. Baby bell light cheese already cooked chicken fajitas strips

    Sex Drive

There are a bunch of posts about this here in the powder room. It seems that it goes either way. Some women's sex drive goes into overdrive once they start losing weight and their hormones are being released out of their fat cells. Other women, seem to have the opposite problem and lose their sex drive. You seem like you're pretty young to be having hormone problems, but one thing you can do is have your hormone levels checked. It could also be from your birth control. Most bc really can mess with your hormones.

    How Do U Maintain Weight

Believe me, at 3 years post op, my problem is not how to stop losing weight. It's very easy to gain weight back. Once you get to goal , the best thing to do is add back healthy foods such as healthy fats. Avocados, nuts, and Peanut Butter are all good choices.

It doesn't really matter if I'm hungry or not. :-( My head gets me in trouble. Right now my bf left ice cream in the fridge and it's calling to me. I love him to death but it was so much easier when I was alone, and didn't cook for anyone but myself. Most of the time he's good, and eats his candy bars in the car, but he certainly can't do it with ice cream. I wish ice cream still made me sick.

8 Weeks Out, Still Having Issues

Just follow your doctor's orders. He will know how to take care of whatever complication you are having. Do you have a Protein drink that you like? I was on Protein drinks for months after surgery while I learned to eat. I could only eat 2-4 bites for months, so I survived on protein drinks. You're going to need to constantly be taking small sips of liquid Protein and other fluids.
  7. yes, gatoraide is fine to drink. did your doctor not give you a post op diet to follow? yes it's way too soon for eggs. Most doctors want their patients on a liquid diet for a period of time. If you want to try yogurt, there are drinkable yogurts. You really need to call your doctor and ask for a specific post op diet telling you when you can advance from liquids to mushie foods.
  8. Crystal light makes one called "pure" It's made with Stevia not Aspertame. I can't have that stuff either. Those Mio drops you can add to Water have splenda in them. Can you have splenda? There's actually quite a few things. Have you tried Fuze slenderize? It's about $1.00 a bottle though. Vitamin Water Zero and Sobe are also good choices. None of those things contain Aspertame.

    Nectar Yes Or No?!

I like the Caribbean cooler. My complaint is that they are thin. I like to blend it up with some frozen fruit/berries and make it thick almost like ice cream.

    Relationship Help

Maybe you should stop thinking of this as an unwanted pregnancy and start thinking of your unborn child. This is a baby you are going to raise and hopefully this child will be a part of your life, for the rest of your life. Perhaps you should take everyone's advice and get some counseling to help you accept the fact that you are going to be a father, and couple's counseling to teach you and your wife communication skills.

    Possibly Tmi: Read With Caution

You should ask your doctor at your next post op appointment,
  12. yeah, I am on maintenance and I didn't take them during the losing stage. I'd rather get the calories from something healthy. I eat them after lunch and dinner like dessert.
  13. I have 2 of them at a time. You aren't supposed to take more than 500 mg at one time for it to be absorbed. I take 4 of them per day. I take capsules for the rest, so that I get 1500 mg per day.

    Where are the 50s ???

I will be 60 in October and I am sure glad I was sleeved over 3 years ago. I sure don't feel 60. I am sure if I had not had WLS, I would feel like an old lady.

    Damn U Ambien

yeah, these people are saying though that even if they take it in bed, they still wake up and start doing things they have no memory of doing. That's scary. I do have a friend who it gives crazy dreams to. Lunesta does not work well for me at all. I wake up in 2 hours and can't go back to sleep. I hope I never do anything crazy on Ambien because when I need it, I sleep well with it.

    G2

I drank a lot of G2 during the clear stage. I don't think there is any reason it needs to be diluted. It's already sugar free.

    Damn U Ambien

tylenol is really not good for the liver. You can buy the same sleep ingredient that is in tylenol PM without the tylenol. Unless you're in pain and need tylenol, it's better to take one of the OTC sleep meds like Sominix which doesn't have the tylenol, just the stuff for sleep. I see on TV that Nytol now has something out for sleep. I am going to check out the ingredients on that.
  18. It's very common to become lactose intolerant after surgery but for me, it's gone away. I was extremely lactose intolerant for a long time. The diarrhea was bad enough, but the gas pains were almost not tolerable, they were so painful. That has all gone away now that I am past 3 years. I don't have any trouble at all with dairy anymore.

    Gallstone Advice

If you're having gall bladder attacks, you should want to have it out. I ignored my symptoms thinking they would go away and ended up with pancreatitis. That caused me to be in the hospital longer than if I would have have just gone in and had it taken care of. It was also so much more painful!

    Damn U Ambien

I'm so glad it doesn't give me any trouble. All I do is sleep. I hope that never changes. When I need to take it, I need to get some sleep.

I know exactly what you mean, Nannie. It's soo easy to gain. I too have to watch every bite and sometimes I just over indulge and gain a few and have to be really careful. I refuse to gain anymore so sometimes I just do Protein shakes for dinner. It really helps that I am not really hungry. It's just that food always looks so good, and everyone else around me eats junk. It's so hard to say No!
  22. They send it to pathology.

    Damn U Ambien

I take it and I have no trouble with it. I've heard of people doing all the things mentioned here. I am wondering if they wake up doing these things? Or do they take it and stay up waiting for it to work? I would never stay up after I take it. I take it and stay in bed and fall asleep.
  24. I was told as long as it was smaller than an M&M I could take it at 2 weeks. Anything bigger I cut in half. After 6 weeks, I could take anything.

    Constipstion Remedies?

I grind flax seeds in a coffee grinder. Then I put a tablespoon in my Protein shake every morning. I also take 2 stool softners every night. I was using Miralax but it's kind of expensive and these do the same exact thing. I also drink tons of Water.
