She has fluid in her lung, among other problems. Hoping for an update soon. She went for more tests today. I'm wondering if they decided to keep her in there.

    Diet Pop ?

Most surgeons will tell you carbonation stretches the sleeve. Then we have people here that have had their surgeon say it doesn't. I choose not to drink it because I don't like diet anymore, and regular soda is too fattening. I don't like the chemicals they put in diet soda. I only drink things with stevia now because after reading about artificial sweeteners, it's not anything I want in my body.
  6. vitacost.com is free shipping over $49. They are by far the cheapest on so many things. I use Sytrax Matrix Protein powder. It's the lowest calorie and only 2 carbs for 25 grams of protein. comes in all sorts of flavors. They also make the nectar products. Vitacost sells them all. I get all my protein powders and bars there, and all my Vitamins and supplements. If you send me a PM , I can get you $10 off your first order.

Over 60 and having the sleeve

I hope this 60's forum is an active one. I'll be turning 60 next month. I still love my sleeve, and sometimes can't believe it's been 3 years already. I wish I still got full on a few tablespoons of food the way I did the first year though. It takes a lot more will power now. I am determined not to gain back anymore weight though. I was 5 lbs below goal, and now I am 5 above goal. It's really hard :-(

    Hope For Second Year Sleevers

This last year has been very difficult for me to keep my weight off. I can eat so much more than I could at one year or even 2 years. It's so easy to eat with friends, and over eat, by not being conscience of my portions sizes. It takes a lot more will power more than it did before, not to snack, and not to have dessert, when everyone else is snacking and having dessert. There are so many functions where food is being served and everyone is eating. I wish it were like it was in the the beginning, where one chip made me feel like I ate the whole bag or one spoonful of food and I was stuffed for the night.

  10. I mix mine with half Hood carb countdown and half Water. I use Matrix from Sytrax. Very low calorie, very low carb. then I add the sf syrups. I like toasted marshmallow, coconut, peppermint, and hazelnut. Next I plan to try ammarito (sp?) I have banana cream, chocolate, vanilla, and orange cream by Matrix. They are all good.

Are you doing better since you're trying apple sauce? Does this mean the spasms have stopped? I am hoping to hear things have improved a little bit in some way.

    Back On Track Thread

What happened to this thread? Is anyone else having trouble staying on track? I know the new people do so well with tracking their food, and eating tiny portions. It's so easy in the beginning. Now, I am around people that eat whatever they want, all the time. It's so easy to throw in a handful of chips, or a couple Cookies, etc. The scale is creeping up, and I have to stay on track. I refuse to buy bigger clothes. I need to tape my mouth shut.

    Essure Vs Paraguard

Gee that's strange. I had an iud and never had any pain what so ever. All my friends had them. My daughter has one, and both my daughter in laws have them.

    Essure Vs Paraguard

I had an IUD years ago. I know it was hormone free. I loved it. No muss, no fuss. I finally had it taken out and my husband had a vasectomy. My friend has never had hers taken out. Her GYN told her, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" I personally would want it taken out. She's had it in for nearly 30 years! Is there any particular reason your husband can't get a vasectomy? The recovery is quick, and then the two of you could be worry free from then on.

You have to buy it online. just google it.

    Sex Drive

I'm not sure if I'd see a primary doctor about it. Do you have a GYN that you go to for Pap tests? They are more experienced with these types of things.

Was Anyone Not Put On Pre Op Diet?

nope, no preop diet for me either.
  22. Oregondaisy

    Very concerned

A lot of people have trouble getting anything down for a few days and aren't even hungry It's not usually a problem. You'll have to find some kind of Protein you can tolerate while you're on the clear stage. It's the protein that keeps you from getting hungry. unjury makes a chicken soup broth that I believe has 25 grams of protein. There's also Isopure, which is 40 grams per bottle.

So A $3.50 "split Fee" In Our Favorite Restaurant

Gee, that was not my experience at Red Lobster at all. We went there, and got one of their meals that had 2 things,(salmon and shrimp) and told the waitress we wanted to split it. She split all the food, and the salad, each on our own plate. She brought it to us that way. There was no split charge at all. I don't think the slit fee was the reason for no tip here. His food was brought to him by someone different that who took the order. They were ignored, and had bad service. Who would he be tipping? The person who took his order, or the one who brought the food without an extra plate? I wouldn't go back there either, unless it was fabulous food that I would really miss. If that were the case, I would have complained.

    Check Your Boobs!

So sorry you have to deal with this. My mom was diagnosed at age 60, so it freaks me out. I'll be 60 in Oct. My mom died at age 82 and she was cancer free for years and years. Sending prayers and healing thoughts your way!
