  1. Hey where do you get those carrot chips? I have seen bags of veggie chips, but when I look at the ingredients, they're mostly potatoes.
  2. Thank you! I don't think I would lose if I ate unlimited fruit. I do like to eat some kind of fruit each day. I am so glad strawberries are back in season. That staying out of the kitchen after 7pm is a very good rule. I wish I would be able to stick to it most of the time, but I usually end up with something like a sf fudgesicle which has around 7 carbs I think.

Vets: Calling all consistent loggers on MFP!

I need to start logging in and learning how to track my food. I hope I can take a look at what some of you are tracking, even though I have nothing to share. I need to start tracking my food because regain at 4 years post op is very easy!
  4. Congratulations!! Can you post what you eat on a typical day? I am really struggling. If I go really low carb , constipation is a big problem. I feel like I need fruit in my diet. Some people say to eat low fat. How in the heck do you eat low carb, low calorie and low fat now that we eat more normally? Maybe I do need to join weight watchers so I can learn to eat like a normal person.
  5. I'm not sure how long I will do it. I guess it depends on how crazy it makes me. If it's really hard, I may cave in and eat something low carb. I know I have to get rid of carb cravings because it's such a vicious cycle. I think in an Atkins book I read, it said it takes like 4 days to rid your system of carb cravings.
  6. I am ready to do something drastic. I think I am going to drink Protein shakes and eat one salad a day for awhile. I do better when I am on liquids because then I don't graze. I just tell myself I am on liquids. I love Protein Shakes and I am never hungry so I might as well try this.

    Calories, Exercise, and Metabolism (long)

What have you been eating that seems to work for you? If you're having trouble with solids, do you have trouble with mushy foods? Tuna or chicken salad made with full fat mayo or miracle whip, is a good easy Protein. Refried Beans with a little cheese melted and some full fat sour cream- yummy and is usually easy to eat. Do you like Protein Bars? The Power crunch bars are delicious. 10 grams of protein 200 calories. Again, if I knew what you were already eating, I think I could be more help.

    Nuts and seeds

You should ask your doctor. they all say something different. Some doctors say 6 months.for seeds.

more poop talk- 9+ months out

Do you ever look for things like that at vitacost.com? Their shipping is free after 49 . I'll have to look there. I get all my Vitamins and supplements there, as well as Protein drinks I drink every morning. I am 100 miles from cosco.
  10. Don't ever quit worrying about it. That's like throwing caution to the wind and for me, that would be a quick 10 lb gain.

more poop talk- 9+ months out

Where do you get them? I've not heard of them and I would really like something to keep me regular since I take iron and it's constipating.

Can't believe its been 2 years...

Congratulations! I hope your tube reversal is a success. I hope you will stick around more now. We need people with a couple years behind them around here.

more poop talk- 9+ months out

It's pretty common to have diarrhea for awhile after gall bladder surgery. I think I had it for about 6 months after I had my gall bladder out. It's gone away and I am back to struggling with constipation.

    Question to veterans about scars

I had lab band surgery, sleeve, and then gall bladder. I have a lot of scars all over the place. I think 4 or 5 for every surgery. There are some that are faded and barely noticeable. I would imagine those are the lap band ones. That was 6 years ago.

I Want My Stomach And My Money Back! (J/k)

Most people really like the Premier Protein drinks from Costco. In fact, in the 6 years I have been on this board and lap band talk, I have never heard anyone say they didn't like them. Maybe you could try them if you have a Costco..

Alex, did you get a revision surgery?

    Help! Severe pain!

No, but in the beginning gall bladder attacks don't last very long until your gall bladder gets worse. then the pain will not let up.

Satiety foods for post goal hunger?

Good idea. I'll be curious to hear what he has to say.

    Help! Severe pain!

It could be a gall bladder attack. do you have your gall bladder? A lot of people have to have their gall bladder out after WLS.

Satiety foods for post goal hunger?

Did you know that we aren't supposed to eat celery? supposedly, it's too stringy for the sleeve. Someone posted on here before that they had to have it removed with a scope because the strings balled up and she could not digest it. I eat it if it's chopped up in little pieces in salad type stuff.
  21. Thanks! that sounds interesting. They don't say what is in those pills. They are kind of expensive too. Do you take one or two per day?

    Popping in to say Hello

I'm sitting here feeling guilty that I am not at the gym. Real life does take over and it's a lot harder to fit gym time in. I am glad you're back! We need more people with more time in post op around here. The board is finally old enough that there's a lot of us fighting regain now. I don't know why you see ads. I don't see any ads. I use firefox and I have never seen an ad. It has an ad blocker.
