Are there still people doing 5:2 other places on the board.? We should give them support. I've hardly been reading or posting in the rest of the board because it's too hard with the cast. after I get it off, I'll be able to catch up more on what's going on around here.

Hi Jane, I am so glad to see you posting I do my fast day on a work day and that day is easier. Thurs. are harder with being home with food in the house. I am sure you will do well and I hope you'll consider keeping it up after you lose the other 5 lb you want to take off. I think it will keep me in maintenance without another regain.

Yes, I would like to agree to not get discouraged. It's very easy to think this surgery isn't going to work for me when you have those long stalls. I stalled once for 4 months, and still ended up losing 15 more lbs. I go on a stall then all of a sudden, after weighing every day, I suddenly saw a 5 lb drop.

I am on the Southern Oregon coast 100 miles from the CA border. I came here when I was 21 from Chicago. Fasting today. I want to see the 130 something next week when I get on the scale for the first time, cast-less. My bf is usually gone on thurs so it might be harder to fast with him around, but I can do it. My head is so in this and I'm so glad. I had lost hope that I would be able to lose my regain, until you guys told me about the 5:2!

I was a slow loser. I had a resting metobolic test done to see exactly how many calories I needed to eat to lose. I went to the gym every day. I still have a slow metabolism. It's very easy for me to graze and fool myself into thinking I'm hardly eating anything. I finally had to learn to count every single calorie I put into my mouth.

FYE I didn't realize you were so close to me. My friend drives to Sacremento all the time. Her mom lives there.

Most ff places have salads with grilled chicken on top. Most of them come with LF dressing or you can buy those spray dressings that are pretty low calorie.

Are you getting all your protein and water in? You could also be low in potassium which will do that.You should probably call your doctor's office and ask what could be causing this.

I don't know if Coops will read this. She said she hasn't been reading all the posts. I really feel for her being without the scale. I go bonkers when I go on vacation and I can't weigh myself. When I was on a cruise, I went to the gym almost naked so I could get a correct weight. I know 141 sounds nice but I still have a long ways to go to be able to wear some of my favorite clothes. I was at 130 for almost 3 years. I still don't know if I'll see the 130's again. This way of eating has really helped me with structure which stopped my grazing.

My son has a girl and my daughter has a boy. That's why I went to Portland, to see Lexi my adorable grand daughter. I am hoping my son will try for another. I am excited beyond words that my daughter is having a daughter.

Cowgirl Jane will be joining us. She has been struggling with 5:2 on her own. I am excited to have her join in. I think I am at 141 this morning if my cast weighs 1 lb. Maybe I will see the 130's again. I am never going to stop eating this way. I'm so excited! My daughter is a labor and delivery nurse. I adore my grand son. He is 5. I told my daughter to d o u c h e with vinegar to have a girl. I read a book when I had my kids and I have a boy and a girl. It's baking soda for a boy. My baby grand daughter is due in Dec. I m so excited! Hope everyone is having a great day. 8 more days til I know my true weight!

I really miss weight training when I don't do it. I just feel like such a slug when I am not working my muscles these days.

I get this cast off a week from this wed. I will be really happy! I did pretty well considering how much eating was going on around me all weekend. I just weighed and I don't think I gained anything. I want to get into the 130'a so badly. I weighed half the cast that they gave back to me when I had it changed. It only weighed a half a lb. so I don't think this cast weighs as much as I thought. It didn't have the hand part attached to it, and it was only th front of the cast. I'm lucky if it weighs 1.5 lbs
