    heartburn after two years?

    I tried to go off my PPI. I was off of it for 6 months, hoping my body would adjust. It was hell. I have to take it or the acid makes my life miserable.

    It looks like we're all shooting for around 140. I am now going to try to get back to my original goal of 135. I did really well fasting today. I am glad I got that acid figured out. I wasn't hungry at all today. It makes me want to keep fasting, but I think this diet works bc of the 2 day fast .

    Do you log your food into something like my fitness pal? It really helps to know exactly how many calories carbs and fats you're taking in so you know how to adjust. You didn't say if you are exercising either.

    I am bummed that I gained back the lb I lost during fasting Monday. I know I am going to be going up and down cause I battled to get below 142 for a year. It's one of the numbers my body likes and it's hard to break. I do love this way of eating though bc it's really given me the structure and mindfulness I've needed.

    I just figured out that I am having acid problems. That is why my stomach hurts and I think it's hunger. I take Protonix but last time they gave me time released. It seems to have made some sort of difference and not in a good way. I took a Zantac a little while ago, and my stomach stopped hurting. this was after I ate some Greek yogurt cause I thought I was hungry.

    I had so much trouble with fasting yesterday. It was like the first time. I was hungry the entire time. I don't know why. I bet it was the pizza the day before. Carbs make me hungry. All the rest of the fasts have been so easy. I wasn't hungry and just ate 3 tiny meals. I wasn't thinking about food all day. That was difficult I hope I get my lap top back soon. It's amazing how much we depend on computers now. So I lost .6 of a lb yesterday. 141 exactly. I hope I can keep it off and not keep going up and down. That's what happened last time I got back to 141-142 last summer. Next week I won't be working other than tuesday so I'll be able to go to the gym. That will help. My brother is coming from Chicago next Wed. I am not sure how that will work out with meals. I am pretty sure he will just fend for himself. I am really glad to have Legal posting. I wish Cow Girl Jane would post and let us know how she is doing.
  7. logging your food into somewhere like My fitness Pal really helps because it's way easier to consume more calories than you think. Plus for me, knowing I'm going to log in every bite I put in my mouth makes me not want to eat in between meals or after dinner.

    We Are an amazing bunch! When I was going through meno, I hadn't had a period for a year. Then one year to the date, I had my last one. It was so weird. I was not on hormones for a number of years but finally did get on them. I wish I could take them the rest of my life. I feel better on them. I remember when I wanted to get to goal, it was because I wanted a man in my life. Now I have one, and he is a PITA sometimes! I hate it when he buys ice cream. I showed him a picture of me at my heaviest and told him how much it bothers me when he brings that cr@p home! Plus he interferes with my gym time. My lap top is gone off for repair but I am able to use the one at work this week until wed. I am normally retired but my boss is on vacation and I told her I'd watch the office. The full time girl resigned a month or so ago, and she can't seem to find anyone who wants to learn on the job to be a legal assistant for mimimum wage. Imagine that. Fasting today. I have a Headache. I notice of fast days, I get a headache. I suppose it from such low calories. I was afraid I gained yesterday bc my DD invited me over for pizza last night. I was 141 something this AM. It is so much better than 151. My pants fit again, but I would be able to wear all of my shirts if I got back into the 130's. I gained weight in my stomach and things were too tight in the stomach and belly. I hope everyone is having a good Monday. Most of us are on the West Coast I think. So we're in the same time zone. That's unusual. Hugs to everyoone!

    I have Quest bars but I don't eat them unless it's an emergency situation. I know the Fiber is supposed to knock out the carbs, but I still have a hard time eating them because to me they are basically candy bars. I might not be online much until I get my computer back. I could use the computer at the office if someone can tell me how to erase the history on chrome.

    I am really struggling too. I am using my bf's computer bc he went home (finally) I hate being without my lap top. I have all my paswords saved on there. I contacted my daughter's friend who fixed it last time cause I would rather pay him than anyone else. Last night, while attempting to get out of the hot tub, I either slipped or missed a stair. I fell out and landed on my head and bounced off the concrete and did a summer sault through the grass. Luckily, I landed on my right side, Allen was so afraid cause I didn't have my brace on and he thought I re-broke my arm. Instead, I think I had a slight concussion. Then today, I tripped in hole while leaving a friend's house and fell again. From there I went to Baskin and Robbins. Feed, I am sorry to hear about your parents. I can so relate bc I went through a lot while my parents were in their elderly years. It was soooo hard! Anyway, tomorrow is a new day and I will get back on track. I know I gained today. I'll have to really count calories carefully tomorrow cause I want into the 130's very badly.

    HI everyone, I am really having computer problems.I love firefox but for some reason it has disappeared. I don't know how to make it come back. I am usin IE but at the top of the page it says java script has been disabled. Pleaae re-enable in order to access full functuality. Does anyone know what this means? I don't even know what java is. I fasted today because yesterday was a pretty out of control day. I did pretty well today but I am really hungry and I am going to have to have a snack. Thanks for telling me about cooking the green Beans that way. They were so much better! It still hurts my wrist to type and I'm bummed my computer is all messed up. I need to find the kid who fixed it for me last time

    Good news and bad news. Good news, I got the cast off today. I am typing castless and it feels so much better. Bad news is that it weighed less than a pound. I am out of town and my eating has been bad. I'll probably end up fasting friday this week cause I don't see tomorrow going well.

    Even though I am getting this hard cast off tomorrow, I'll still have a removable cast for quite awhile. I am not sure about going to the gym with that on. I can do legs and my bottom half. I feel better, as I am not in pain all the time now, so I can start cardio too. Yay! I am sure that's what it's going to take to get any lower.

    I only lost a half a lb this last fast which I will probably put back on today just eating normally. I can't wait until I can get back to the gym. That won't be for awhile though. I have my membership on hold bc of my broken wrist. At the beginning of Sept, my brother will be here from Chicago for 2 weeks. I won't be going to the gym then, either. I am at work. My boss is on vacation so I can use the computer at work for a change. I normally don't work this much but she's in a bind bc her full time girl quit.

    I call that chunk losing. I did that all the time during losing stage. I would all of a sudden drop 5 lbs. But then I would stall for a few weeks. Happy birthday Swizz! tomorrow I get my cast off. Then I am heading straight out of town to stay with a friend. It's foggy and windy here on the coast. I am headed inland to have some summer. (and shop) She has a pool. I'm excited to go out of town. I hope there won't be thing tempting me to go off track. So far, I have really been into this and I have been able to resisit.

    Yeah, I definitely don't eat out nearly as much as I used to. Buying a rotisserie chicken and having it last several meals is like eating out for me. We do have a fish place here that will grill it without breading and only charge me 1.25

    I am not trying to be mean or anything, but you should check out the vets forum and read about all the people who have put a lot of weight back on. You will definitely lose weight with the sleeve. the thing to learn is , how to keep it off.

    My internet was down and I was going through withdrawl! I am not sure how many calories I had for my fast day. I was supposed to be done eating. I bought a bunch of baby girl clothes for my new baby grand daughter that is coming and I took them to my daughter's house. She had one of those rotisserie chickens sitting out and I ate a bunch of moist chicken breast. You would of thought I was chowing down on chocolate chip Cookies, the way I scarfed that down. It was only 7pm so I wasn't past my time, but I have to add that to my 500 calories plus 2 delicious home grown strawberries.

    it's not necessary to go back to liquids, and be hungry to get back on track. follow the boot camp diet and this will going in the right direction: The BASICS BOOTCAMP: For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only... Proteins: Seafoods, Poultry and eggs, Dairies, nuts/seeds including Peanut Butter. Veggies: Green only. Fruits: None. Breads/Cereals/Other Carbs: None. Fluids: One gallon of Water (128 oz.)

    Happy Birthday Globe! I'm so glad you got rid of what you had and can enjoy things again. I had a pretty good day. I didn't eat much even though it wasn't a fast day. I picked blackberries and did eat quite a few of those though.

    I am jealous of all the good places everyone has to eat. In my little town in the middle of nowhere , we have McDonalds, Burger King and Taco Bell.

    Today is going to be a hard day. A cousin of mine died and I am going to her celebration of life potluck. It will be all bad food, no doubt. I am asked to bring a variety of chips and dips. I plan to stay away from the food table. My daughter usually brings a shrimp ring to things like that. I can have that at least.
