Yes, please tell us what is going on and why you are so frustrated. Is it head hunger?

Thanks for the link. Where in Walmart do they keep this chicken? In the frozen section? It looks delicious! Thanks again.

how long in the hospital?
Oregondaisy replied to hope2bhealthy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded at 8 am and home by 11 am. I never experienced any pain what so ever and I was fine the next day. I was out walking 3 dogs the next day. I would have never even known I had surgery other than the little cuts on my tummy. I know there are a lot of people that have pain, and don't have it as easy as I did though. -
This is a big problem in my life too. I have had insomnia pretty much all of my life. I would be lost without Ambien. I have quite a few different meds or supplements I use. If I didn't I wouldn't sleep at all. I use melatonin & valerian as well as other prescriptions. I have to switch around or they stop working. The dr. tried me on trazadone, but that doesn't work at all, although it works for some people. Amitriptiline made me want to eat like a pig. It's a horrible problem. I wish more than anything I could sleep like a normal person. I am sure I sound like a horrible druggie pill popper, but I can't live without sleep. They did a sleep study on me which was even more ridiculous. If I can't sleep in my own bed, what made them think I could sleep with wires attached to me in a strange place. They concluded I have chronic insomnia. Tell me something I don't already know! and then charge me $2,000.00

Low carbs is basically the bandster way. There is no reason in the world you can't do low carb. Other than my dr. kept me off red meat for 6 weeks. You can eat soft cheese, cottage cheese, soft deli meats, egg salad, tuna salad, etc.

Feel like I am fighting weight loss

I suggest a book called the Beck Diet Solution. It gives methods to teach yourself not to sabotoge yourself. It's helped me a lot. I got it on Amazon for $9 -
Dan drives me insane too. I couldn't stand his hair hanging in his face through out the whole season. Then they cut it and it really looks ridiculous now. I don't care how thin he gets. He shouldn't be so full of himself. He thinks he's a rock star? That cracked me up.

I did a thread search on low carb and there were so many pages of low carb threads. Do you remember the name of the thread?
-
I don't get your post at all. Who are you talking to? Why did you make a post on this thread? You said you don't have time and your post doesn't make any sense to me or seem to be a part of what this thread is talking about.

Where do I get some of that herbal life? Are you talking about doing cardio every day for a week for 1.5 hours? And that was all you ate/drank were the shakes, or food in addition to the herbal life shakes? I am determined to get the rest of this off too. Even at 145 I would still be overweight but at my age, I don't want to weigh any less than that. I am in size 12's now. I have a lot more wrinkles since I lost weight. I think skinny old people who are all wrinkled up are less attractive than someone just average weight and less wrinkles. My trainer told me I have at least 10 lbs of muscles from weight training these past 4 years. That does make me feel better. -
Thanks. I will check out Amazon after work. So do they have a whole section for Atkins products? Can you make anymore recommendations?
-
I agree. 80 lbs is fabulous. I get stuck on very long plateaus and get afraid that I can't lose anymore. Then all of a sudden, I will drop a few more. I wish I was as consistent as others are, losing something every month, but that doesn't seem to be the way my body works. If you're doing everything you're supposed to be doing, like exercising, I would think that you will lose again.

I didn't read through this entire thread. I will do that after work . (on lunch right now) Did the last 10 lbs go really slowly? I have always been a slow loser. Now I am afraid my body has just decided it's done losing. It took 3 months to lose this last 3 lbs. I am not sure what to do. I can't possibly exercise any more than I already am. (Unless I went to the gym twice a day) Any suggestions? -
Oprah has a bra she swears by. I wonder if it's on her website. She said she always had to wear 2 when she went jogging, but this one really holds her girls in place. I don't have big ones, but I can't find one to fit me around here. I found one at Kmart and one at Walmart, but both places didn't have the size I need.

Oh tell me more. I have been an atkins fan since the 1970's. You get all their stuff from Amazon? What else do they have that's good. Is that where you get the caramel too?
-
Where do you get the ATkins carmel shakes? I see the chocolate and strawberry in the stores. Is this a powder you have to mix? I've always pretty much been low carbing it.

Free Calorie Counter on The Internet

Thanks WASa. I had that before in my bookmarks but lost in when I had my computer worked on. I want to get to goal but these last few lbs are very stubborn. My back has been hurting so much, it's messing with my exercise. -
I hate it when people post just to post.....
Oregondaisy replied to TerriDoodle's topic in The Lounge
okay I have to ask as serious question.Seriously. How do you break a plateau? It took me 3 months to drop 3 lbs and at that rate it's going to take a least 6 months to lose my last 7 lbs. I exercise and do all the things I am supposed to do. -
Why is it I can never find spaghetti squash? Somebody around here told me it's seasonal. Is it available all year long where you live?
-
The Beck Diet Solution is a great book. I have to read it all the time to stay motivated. I do the things that the book suggests, but somehow reading some of the chapters over again gets me motivated again. Making exercise a priority in my life has made a huge difference. It's not something I can talk myself out of, it's just what I do every morning.

Go to the very top of the board above everything else where it says search. You can do a thread search and read all sorts of posts on this subject. This topic comes up very often and we have all pretty much decided there is nothing you can do or take to stop it from happening.

Hi Newbies! I've been banded 21 months. Let me know if you have any questions.
Oregondaisy replied to juliegeraci's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
this is very common. I got kind of worried after not going for a week and took a stool softener. It did the trick. -
I don't know why I didn't think to put it on my credit card and get air miles for it. I took out a 2nd mortgage on my house. I could have gotten the air miles and paid the credit card off with the loan. I put everything on that card, and pay it off every month. I wonder why I didn't think of that. I need all the air miles I can get with an elderly father living out of state.

Brittany has been my favorite all along. She has really had a hard time. I feel for her because I know she works just as hard as everyone else. It's just not fair that the scale doesn't co-operate for her.

Yep! It's amazing what a small unfill will do. There is nothing worse than being too tight. We are all afraid to have any taken out, but in the end, I have always seen people being very happy that they did. I am so glad to hear you sound so happy!
