Come out of the band failure closet!

I did give the details on another thread. Here are all the details. I got an email from some company saying they would give me a 3 month subscription to match.com if I tried their face cream. It was $50 . I wanted to try it since it said it "hid those fine lines" so I bought it. Then this guy contacted me which surprised me cause I refused to post a picture. I said our town is too small to have a picture plastered on the internet. We emailed back and forth for a few weeks, then talked on the phone for a few weeks. Then he invited me to lunch, and the rest is history! We have seen each other every day since then. I asked my trainer at the gym if I should check the "few extra lbs" box when it asked my body shape. He said "hell no!" NSV! I never would have had the nerve to even put a profile up there if it weren't for the band! I finally had the nerve to tell him about the band. He is very health conscience. He said he was impressed that I cared enough about my health to have surgery. And I love the face cream too! I know this is not the place and sorry for thread hijacking, but you asked for details and now you have the full story!

Does anyone else get UTI's when they have sex?

Yeah, I run and go potty as fast as I can. It sure ruins the mood. The cranberry capsules seem to make a big difference too. I may switch to 3 x a day instead of twice. UTI's are miserable! I am lucky my band dr. got me used to drinking 64 oz of Water per day too. I need to stay flushed. Okay boys, I hope you're having a good time reading this!

    Warning TMI, but need help.

I tried prune juice, prunes, fiber caplets, benefiber. Tried it all. Nothing seems to work as well for me as it does for others. The benefiber give me horrible gas. It's too embarrassing at work. I eat fiber one Cereal and I think that works the best. And Kashi Crunch cereal has a lot of fiber in it too.

DS is duodenal switch. That's what started this thread. The people on the Obesity Help board have a section for that and they all have problems because they smell bad. I use baby wipes to take off make up. Does anyone know what's good to take off eye makeup? I have been wearing makeup since I met the new BF

OK ladies... I have a questions about the drive...

You know birth control pills can have something to do with sex drive too. There are many medications that affect the sex drive. Just thought I would throw that out there.

    Warning TMI, but need help.

Yes, I think you should take something before it gets worse. I took stool softners after surgery. I think it was about 3-4 days and I started to get worried it would hurt. Many bandsters have constipation issues. I have been banded a year and a half, and it's something I have to be conscience of all the time, getting Fiber in.

    Let's Get Personal

I am going to get some of that. Are you sure it's not bad for the body in any way? I have to be careful with anything that affects my liver.

I met a guy on match.com . I was really impressed that he contacted me since I didn't have a picture posted. I said my town is too small to have my picture plastered on the internet. He is a long distance runner. He has a great bod. I was nervous to tell him about the band. He said he was impressed that I cared enough about my health to have it done. The best part is WASa- His son lives in Chandler! We have been together every day since we met. I think this is the LTR I have been looking for and was too afraid to look for when I was FAT! Sorry to hijack the thread. I am sure once the newness wears off, he won't be over here every day.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

It can be a little bit more difficult to find restriction with a larger band. Ask your doctor to be aggressive with fills. Some doctors really like to sneak up on restriction, and that can be really frustrating.

We won't tell anyone what I ate at the mall WASA. It's a good thing for the band, or I would have finished it too.

I hate it when people post just to post.....

I am probably one of the only women in the world that hates to shop. I just hate spending money.

We are going to have to go to dinner when I come back in August and this time no walking around the parking lot in 118 degrees in the sun! We can share a meal! See how much you are loved here:tt2::biggrin2::smile2:
  15. I am almost at 18 months and last month my hair stopped falling out. It seemed like it took forever. I would go several days where I thought I was losing less, and then all of a sudden, bam! -loosing handfuls again in the shower. I had to stop trying to predict when it would stop. It drove me nuts. I have lost half my hair. I am lucky I had plenty to begin with. Now I have little hairs growing in all over the place.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

Janet, you look fabulous. I hate taking pictures, even with all my weight loss. To anyone just starting out, make LBT your replacement for food. I used to spend hours and hours on here and be amazed at how much time went by without thinking about what I am going to eat next. This is the best place to learn everything you need to know.

Come out of the band failure closet!

I don't like that site because it's set up weird. LBT is so much better. I go there if I am bored out of my mind, but lately I am too busy falling in love and don't have the time. As I said on another thread- Thank You BAND!

    A thread for Single Bandsters

I just told my new BF and he was just great about it. When I have been on dates that involved food, I said I had a late lunch and ordered soup to play it safe. grilled fish is always a good option too. Have fun on your date! I agree with Tara. There are so many things you can do that don't involve food. We go hiking/walking in the park all the time.

I am still bummed that I stopped getting my emails to my threads. It was so much easier for me that way. I told Alex and apparently he can't fix it or he would have. I am set up to get emails, I just don't get them.

You guys are too funny! I wish I had time to go over there and read it all. I am in the middle of falling in love so I barely have time for LBT. Thank you BAND!

    Lower BMI'ers--2008!!!

Sorry I was a self pay too. My insurance booklet says right in it no weight loss surgeries of any kind are covered for any reason. I took out a 2nd mortgage on my house and I would do it again.

    A thread for Single Bandsters

Welcome aboard Kris! Living in bandland is the greatest thing. I just told my new guy about the band and it was nice to get that out of the way. Hope you stick around here. We are all pretty supportive of each other.

Crispy is always so good when you check in. It's so great that you found the right guy after realizing the others weren't what you wanted. So many other women would have been happy just to have a guy in their life and "settled" Hey both of us met our guys on Match!

You are very welcome! It's so exciting that you're gonna get be skinny before you're in your 50's like me.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

I have done all liquids when I couldn't get the scale to move. I always do liquids for most of 24 hours if I have a bad throwing up episode. things swell inside and that compounds the problem. It's a good idea to go on liquids if you have been throwing up.
