Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

I will be gone until Monday. I even bought a bathing suit. That's a big one for me. DD insisted I buy one so I look nice for new BF. I am still overweight. I would have to lose 5 more lbs to have a normal BMI. and I don't even care. I am perfectly happy being a size 10-12. My trainer told me I have 5-10 lbs of muscle and I think my legs look really good. They aren't flabby at all. They are full of muscle. OnMyWay2fit, maybe your mom will see how well you are doing and that will motivate her. Tell her that all of us over here at LBT in our 50's are thrilled with all the weight we have lost and we feel 10 years younger!

    Which type are you?

Stewart Smalley was a guy that attended all sorts of 12 step programs. He had low self esteem. He did affirmations. He looked at himself in the mirror and said "I am good enough, smart enough, and dog gone it people like me"

    OMG, How Crazy Am I????

I was laughing because you said it's hard to buy the jello with sugar in it. So I was wondering if you are still doing sugar free or regular. You said full sugar jello just seemed so wrong.

    Where are you?

It's a date then! I will be there from 8-20 to 8-30. Was A has told me so much about the landmark, I would like to see it. Where is it? When I looked on a map online, I got confused. It doesn't take much to confuse me but I do know my way around Mesa pretty well. Is it off the 60?

I hate it when people post just to post.....

BBk has a thread called pin ups. So far, that's the only one she has posted. She is waiting to get her disc of the shoot.

Stewart Smalley. I loved that character!

    Which type are you?

I wouldn't bother putting anyone on ignore. If I don't like what someone is posting, I am very good at reading maybe the first line, and thinking I don't think I'll bother reading the rest of this. also, those walls of text. Those really bother me. If a post is too hard to read, because there are no spaces anywhere, I get bored and go on to the next post. I won't strain my eyes to try to follow a big block of words.

    Which type are you?

Okay, I have read through this entire thread and my eyes are blurry. I would never want to be one of the people that someone would have to put on their ignore list. I have come to the conclusion that it's nice that we have so many intelligent people on this board. I could go on and on about addiction, mental illness, etc. but I don't see the point. One of the things that got me fat though, was anti depressants. I was on them for years. I didn't know until years later that one of the side effects was weight gain. It wasn't until they took mine off the market, that I discovered exercise was better than any antidepressant ever could be. I started exercising to try to lose the weight and found out I felt better than I ever did in my life on antidepressants. It's such a catch 22. If you're so depressed that you can barely get out of bed, it's hard to convince yourself that going to the gym would make you feel better. It's sad, really.

I would love to come down to your world. It's always been my dream to go to Australia.

    Let's Get Personal

I have had some pretty horrible experiences too. I called my daughter and said I felt like I had just given birth.

    Which type are you?

I was a pretty fit person when I got banded. I had been going to the gym and exercising my brains out for 3 years. I didn't lose an ounce. The band is what made all the difference. I was glad I already had the exercise habit when I got my band.

    OMG, How Crazy Am I????

I bet you have to force yourself not to buy sf jello! I figured you were eating tuna. Didn't you say your were dying for a BBQ chicken wing? couldn't you put that in a blender? (minus bones of course)

    Where are you?

The Landmark is where WasA wanted to have lunch. Superstition Springs mall would be a great place to meet. I go there all the time. Last time Wasa and I met at Arizona Mills. Do you know where that is? That didn't make the drive as far for her. BBK, you're very special! You replaced apple lady!

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

I have had that happen that happen with pills. I take my pills early in the evening, and they don't feel stuck. All of a sudden in the middle of the night, up they come. I hate it. I am sound asleep and poof, up comes a pill. I make sure to take them with a lot of water, and I think they went down, but sometimes I guess they don't.

    Pin up Shoto Shoot??

that is such a great picture! BBK (I hope I don't sound gay) you're so hot!

    OMG, How Crazy Am I????

I get really sick of my clothes not fitting. It's nice to be in smaller sizes but it's a real pain when I buy something new and the next time I try it on, it's too big. What are you eating these days?

    Where are you?

My dad lives in Mesa. That's pretty far from Surprise.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

I agree totally. I was too tight for one entire weekend. It was horrible. I am so perfect now, I would be afraid to mess with it. Every time I think maybe I need a fill, something gets a little stuck and I don't want to go back to that again.

    OMG, How Crazy Am I????

I am glad you can finally see it WasA. I told you you were thin but you didn't believe me. Your size 6's were baggy. When you have your TT you are going to feel so much better about yourself. Good grief, if you're at 119 now, you're going to disappear when they cut your skin off!

    Lower BMI'ers--2008!!!

Nicky, so good to see you! You too, Baby! I feel bad for those of you that pb at all. It's great having the perfect fill. It's so great here in bandland! I honestly thought I would be one person that the band wouldn't work for. I never thought I would ever look at myself in the mirror and be surprised.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

Yea, I was banded at the end of 06 for sure. 12-29-06. I have been banded now a year and a half. The resting metabolic test was a wake up call for me. I always knew I had a slow metabolism, but somehow seeing the print out made it real for me. In order to lose, I needed to eat between 1000 and 1200 calories and plus exercise. It's nice now to have a little wiggle room. I was gone for the weekend and gained 4 lbs that I lost without trying. I thought I was done losing. I am sure I will lose that this week, but probably gain again over the weekend because we are going camping. Honestly, I never thought I would say this, but with my restriction, I forget to eat. I usually go over to see my new grandson after work. If they feed me dinner, I eat. If they have already eaten dinner, I play with the baby until I feel like going home. The other day I got home at 9 pm and remembered that I never had dinner. Janet, that's funny that you called me an inspiration. I was a real whiner when that scale wasn't moving!

    Thanks! I can't believe I didn't know that.

What do you eat for breakfast? I need ideas!

Power bar pria? Where do you get that. All the protein bars that I have seen have so may calories. I usually get Atkins which are 150 calories.

    Where are you?

For sure, snowbird! Where do you stay when you are in AZ. I love it now that I have friends there, since I go there quite often. I met a couple other bandsters who actually lives close to my dad.
