Hey everyone in this thread is talking about some pretty personal stiff. I don't want to hijack the thread but I need help. I started that thread another sex question, but I think people may have thought it was just too personal to give details. When people say they need manual help and can't orgasm from penetration, are they talking oral? Is their partner using his hand before sex? I know a girl who puts her hand there during sex, but somehow I can't bring myself to do that.

can you tell one of your co-workers that you're interested is someone else at the same time you are ignoring him? I have done that. A guy knew I liked him so I told everyone at work that I met someone new. I am sure it got back to him, because all anyyone at this place did was gossip about each other.

I wish chocolate was never invented. It is the one thing that always causes me temptation problems. I actually need to tell myself I am on a diet even though Janet says this is not a diet. When I tell myself that, I remember I can't eat anything I want. By the way, where is Janet? -
lovegrapes, if you're already having esophageal spasms, the band might not be right for you. If I were you, I would look into the sleeve surgery. All they do is make you a tiny stomach. You don't have to worry about fills and unfills. Everyone that I know that has those spasms are constantly being unfilled and getting fills.

I like chicken dipped in spinach dip. Somebody on the board suggested that and it's really good. I do so good low carbing and then I see chocolate and I can't resist it. I get so mad at myself.

you little trouble maker, WasA:biggrin::) -
Is it possible you are too tight? I know someone else that can't handle any fill at all or she has those spasms.

I am at goal and I never had an unfill. I had my last fill in Dec. and I am good to go. I think I am looser now than I was in Dec. when I first got it, but I am not messing with a good thing. I can eat anything I want in small portions. I have no problem foods, never get stuck anymore, haven't pbed in months. Life at goal is wonderful!

My recovery was easy as pie. I had my surgery on a fri and went back to work on mon. I have a desk job though. I never had any pain. I wouldn't have even known I had surgery other than seeing the little cuts on my tummy. -

Looks like you enjoy keeping them going froggi.:smile2: I can't believe they don't see an issue with all those problems. Doesn't sound like they can live a normal life after the DS. -

That really sucks that you have to go through so much all over again. -

only one? I couldn't believe the one I met a few months ago. When we met in person after talking on the phone for a couple of weeks, he had no teeth. -

Try to come up with a good plan. I know it won't be the same to her, but maybe all of you can go shopping for some more? I can't believe you couldn't find any. People are always asking me if I want any. I agree. Don't beat yourself up because you didn't do it on purpose. Who could have known an hour outside would be bad. I certainly wouldn't have known that. -

Missy you are right! I met so many losers over and over again for the past 3 years. When I was on our first date, I called my daughter and said "hes a keeper!" I was excited the minute I met him, instead of how it always went before, being disappointed after emailing and finally meeting. If you're doing online, meet them as soon as possible so you know what/ who you're dealing with. Even the ones with pictures often don't look like their picture. -

Those are some pretty cool pictures, Brandy. What kinds of exercises do you do on your arms? I have been working on them for months, and see no change. I do the tricep exercises my trainer showed me. I bet there is muscle in there, but all the skin hides it. -

That's really cool that doctors are saying that the sleeve is going to take over. It's such a good idea. I would love not to have the worry of a slip, erosion, and my port bugs me. -
There are several threads related to Chicago. (my home town) Up to the right, use the search feature. Just search Chicago and you'll probably find a bunch of people who can steer you in the right direction.

Thanks BBK. I am going to show that to him tonight. He read something in the paper about someone who got really sick from being banded. Sounds to me like she was too tight for too long. I didn't get to read it. Now he's all freaked out. I have no problems though. I never pb anymore. I could probably use a fill but I am finally to the point where I can take all my medicine and supplements without them getting stuck so I am not messing with a good thing. When are you having your revision surgery? -
How many fills did it take till everything felt just right?
Oregondaisy replied to Heatherooni's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The worse thing is that the band does not stop the junk food from going down. My daughter had the RNY and sugar makes her really sick. My boyfriend brought over a cheese cake last night. I wish a fill would stop me from eating something like that. I told him not to bring any junk food in here -

Let us know what you decide to do. Now you have me curious. I have just gathered up all my old jewelery and I am taking it to get money for it. Gold is $900 and ounce now and they will weigh it. I'll let everyone know how much I end up with. Most people are getting at least $400-500 from jewelery they don't like, or have one of the earrings missing, etc. They take 10K and 14K. -

My doctor figured it out for me. I am not sure what formula he used. It goes my your height. I am 5'2" and I only need 60 grams per day. I have problems with my liver and too much protein is not good for the liver. yea, pbs aren't fun. I have had very gentle ones where I just burp and something comes up. But I have had very bad ones where I am stuck and it goes on and on a little bit at a time and the sliming went on for hours. I haven' done that in months now though. -

If it's a pretty good friend that would notice that you never wear it, I would say something like "it's really pretty but it's just not my style" and of course say thank you for remembering my birthday. That's a hard one. My cousin always buys me stuff I don't like and I usually find a way to regift it. -
It's different for everybody. It depends on your insurance whether they will pay for fills. Some people's ins. does pay for them . My surgery included 3 fills with the price of surgery. I was a self pay. After that, the fills are 160.00 . Some doctors include fills for the first year post op. If you are in a position to check around, get the best deal you can. A lot of people go to Mexico for the surgery because it's cheaper, but then they have trouble finding someone to do fills after that.

Okay Seriously how much do you eat?
Oregondaisy replied to armywife4life's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I eat a portion about the size of my palm . I cut up my meat into tiny pieces and have a few veggies. In the morning I eat about 3/4 C of Kashi Crunch Cereal. Sometimes for lunch I will eat a Protein bar just because I love them. The ones from costco, I only eat half of one because they are big. The Atkins Nougat ones I eat all of it. There is no way I would just eat 1/4 of a cup of food. That's just nuts. -

Read the sticky on the fill forum about fills, by Wendall Edwards. You really can't stay at your sweet spot until you have lost most of the fat around the stomach. It's a great thread that tells why we keep needing fills. I haven't had a fill since Dec. and I am at my sweet spot. I don't think I will ever need another one, because now that I am at goal, the band doesn't get loser from losing the fat pad.
