No, you did not do this for nothing. I am 55 and I never thought I would be in a size 10 ever again. I don't know how you got the idea that this was a magic cure though. Most people do not notice much difference with just one fill. If you feel hungry or are still wanting to eat a big portion, get another fill. You will get to the point where you can only eat a small portion and you will lose weight. If you hit a plateau, you will have to find some sort of exercise though.

some people who have tight fills have trouble with the skin on an apple going through the band. Do you feel like it's stuck? Keep sipping on something warm like tea and it should open the band and help it pass through.

I am going to try that in the future. My bf just showed me an ad yesterday from that airline.

Wow I just read my post from a year ago and now I am at goal. If you are not losing, are you eating white carbs. White carbs are evil. I eat Protein and veggies and a little big of fruit in between meals and that is how I made it to goal. The only thing that works is staying motivated.

Carbonation can stretch the pouch. It's also not very comfortable to drink. It causes gas and it hurts when you need to burp and can't.

I often take tiny sips of Water when I am eating with someone who does not know I am banded. I think it helps the food slide down and not get stuck. Since I don't eat with meals the rest of the time, I think this is perfectly okay and better than the alternative. When it became apparant I would be speding lots of time with my bf,I told him all about the band.

I think the sleeve is a great option for anyone who for one reason or another (erosion etc) has to have their band removed, I also know some people who have had a revision to a sleeve because they never could find the right fill and restriction with the band. They were constantly having to go in for a fill and then and unfill.

No, you aren't out of commission, but you get tighter and can't eat as much. Sometimes you aren't able to eat things you used to be able to eat.

Once you throw up, there is swelling around the band. most people go on liquids for 24 hours after they throw up, so the swelling can go down. I don't know why your band tightened though if you've been able to eat this before.

Call your dr. tomorrow morning. You need to have some taken out.

Saw the urologist today. He gave me estrace cream which is an estrogen cream and is supposed to thicken my skin in that area so bacteria can't get in as easily. He also gave me some pills to take which is supposed to change the ph level so bacteria can't grow, and an anit biotic to take on the day I have sex. I hope all this works! At least we are very predictable. He only stays over on the weekends so I will have a few days on the medication before the big test. I hope that's enough. I don't want another uti which just causes another yeast infection. I have to babysit my grandson all day tomorrow but my daughter gets off work at 3:30. I am thinking of going around to look for that magazine. I don't want to subscribe because I don't want to start getting a bunch of junk mail.

My son is getting married on the 16th and my dad will be here on the 13th. My dad is a pain in the rear as a house guest. It's good he'll be here at the wedding. He didn't want to come. He's 89 and told my son the next time he saw him, he would be in his coffin. Grumpy.

I agree you are too tight. You should be able to have a little bit taken out without being completely unfilled. That should solve the problem. I was too tight and I could eat fine all day long. I had a little bit taken out when (I call it puking) had the problems in my sleep.

I am excited to go to the urologist. I have never in my life been so happy to go and see a doctor.
