I have had this come and go in the year and a half that I have had my band. You might not need to have very much taken out, but you probably do need at least a slight unfill. You shouldn't gain weight back if you just have a little bit taken out. It doesn't make sense why the band gets tighter after you have had the fill for awhile, but it happens all the time. It's dangerous to have this happening. I am glad you are calling your doctor. Everyone who has posted back to you has given you the correct advise. If you don't get it taken care of soon, you could end up needing a complete unfill, or worse yet, losing your band somewhere down the road.

Shelly, I met with someone yesterday that has the same band as you by the same dr. She said it took her 4 fills to get restriction. I remember you asking me that, so I thought I would pass it along.

I have missed a lot of pages because I am in Arizona at the library. I got to meet several bandsters while I am here and that is so much fun. I will have to catch up when I get home to my own computer. I don't get why when I click on the left where it says "view first unread' it always brings me to the last page. I need to know where I left off!

I can't have sex with someone just to have sex. I think sex is too emotional. I would never be able to have sex with someone I didn't have feelings for. If I did, I would start to have feelings for him. There have been guys in my life who wanted to be "friends with benefits" but I told them the same thing. I can't separate love and sex.

All this talk of food is making me hungry. My daughter puts ketchup on everything. People look at her like she is nuts when she asks for ketchup to put on her pizza. My bf's son is the same way. My bf puts little packets of ketchup in his christmas stocking.

Hi there, I am coming to the Mesa Chandler Tempe Phoenix area on 8-20. I would like to get together with other bandsters for a lunch or dinner or whatever anyone else would like to do. Last time I was there, I met some great people and would like to do it again! I will be going home on the 27th. Let's get togther!

I wish my bf was here with me while I am in a city that actually has sex shops. I am afraid to go in there alone too. I am afraid of who will be in there to wait on me. I am just plain chicken!

It's better to not be in love at all than to be in love with someone who isn't right for us. Chrispy you are in inspiration the way you handled all the relationships before Curtis. I remember you being with guys who weren't giving you what you needed. So many women would have just stuck the relationship out, rather than facing being alone. April, I never believed I would find anyone, even though everyone told me that I would. You will too, when the time is right.

I hate using library computers. One hour per day is just not enough time for my lap band talk addiction. BBk, They are probably not letting you exercise, are they? I would freak out if I couldn't exercise. It's my stress reliever. Being unfilled wouldn't be as bad, but being unfilled and not being able to exercise is just plain scary!

I can't even believe this Brandy. After all you have gone through, now this? I am so sorry!:sad: All this band stuff scares me. It scares me to think that everything can be fine and then a slip. I hope you heal fast and this next few weeks goes by quickly!

Yay! My favorite thread is back!

I have been under a lot of stress from having my dad here who is 89 for my son's wedding. I have been eating very badly and I have gained 5 lbs. I am going to Arizona to go back with my dad. I am not going to attempt to take it off while i am gone. It's too hard there with my dad wanting to eat dinner out every night. I am sure I will have no trouble taking it off when I get home. I gained weight the last time I went to AZ and took it back off in no time by going back to my exercising and eating right.

I have been falling off the bandwagon a great deal here lately. I am leaving for Arizona soon and I will get back on track as soon as I come home. The great thing about the band is that it's always there waiting to do it's job, when I commit myself to eating right.

Do you have people around you that don't know how to say " I saw it?" I want to smack somebody when they say "I seen a lady I know when I was at the store"

I thought those pills were blue. It sucks getting old. things don't work as well as they do for you younger gals. if there is a will there is a way though!

My flight didn't take off due to fog. Sitting in the airport with my 89 yr old dad complaining for 2 hours about made me crazy. I want ice cream! Good thing I have none in the house. This calls for a hot fudge sundae. Bad habits are hard to break. Good thing I am too lazy to go to the store.

I am leaving for Arizona in a little bit. I am going to go through computer withdrawl. I can use the computer at the library but it's not the same. I am going to beg my dad's neighbor to let me use her computer once in awhile. the last time she let me use it though, she stood over my shoulder the whole time. I need a lap top badly!

Froggi, I hope they don't make you take any more tests. This surgery is not like heart surgery. All those tests run into a lot of money. You are young and you should be able to have your band surgery as soon as possible. (((Froggi)))

I agree. We need a place to ask questions and not have to see the person all the time if we feel embarrassed after talking about something. It's bad enough that I chat with people in the chat room at LBT and I wonder if they have read any of my powder room posts. But at least these people can't see how red my face is when I get the guts up to ask some of this stuff.

I am glad that it's cheap. those pills to take for a yeast infection were $5 each, and it kept coming back anyway. Don't know if I will get another bladder infection from sex. I am going away for a week and my body will have a chance to rest from all these problems. After that, I will try taking the pills to prevent a bladder infection and hope it works.

I so love my band. Every time I am really sick of the small amount of food I can eat, I have it in my mind that I am going to go out to eat and pig out. I so pigged out. I had most of my fish, and two bites of a baked potato with sour cream and butter. I was stuffed. My band wouldn't let me eat any more and I was glad!
