Do you have to pay for those avatars? I can't seem to figure out how it works. -
Poll: How many have acid reflux problems?
Oregondaisy replied to NJChick's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I had some fill taken out to stop the night time acid reflux. I was fine in the day time. I could eat without anything getting stuck, and I had no problem with any foods. But since I was having that problem in the middle of the night, my dr. and I decided to have some saline taken out. It seems to have stopped the problem. -
You can tell Alex in the section for feedback and suggestions. I know he has been working constantly to improve it. I could never watch my bf with another girl. I would be so horribly jealous But I am staying in this thread because it's interesting and to see if anyone comes around in an attacking manor again.

She shows dr. Oz on there so often that tells and shows what it's like to have fat around all of the organs. Its not a good thing and you can actually die from a fatty liver. You would think she would finally say "I can't do this on my own" Oh well....

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
Oregondaisy replied to IndioGirl55's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yes, it's possible. I have to find the willpower I used to have when my bf is eating junk food. So far, I look at it and say you will never lose that 15 if you eat any of that. I gotta get that "just one bite'' message out of my head. One bite leads to many many more. I think it is almost 100 % dieting. The band helps with Portion Control, but it's not going to help with eating the wrong foods that aren't restricted by the band. Cookies, chips, candy, slide right through the band no matter how much restriction you have. It's dangerous to make your band too tight. You end up using the esophagus for a stomach. That is not good at all. It's dangerous. I was doing it and didn't even know it. -

Froggi, hang in there. It will be worth it in the end. Ebony I am very happy for you! I am going to try to get one of those cool avatars. I am pretty computer illiterate, so if it's hard to get it on here, there is no hope. -
Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
Oregondaisy replied to IndioGirl55's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am doing very well this week at cutting out the carbs. I hope I can stay strong over the weekend. I want to lose 15 lbs. Even at my goal, I was still in the overweight BMI category. I thought that was ok cause I am a size 12, but now I have decided to try to lose a little more. I am just afraid it's going to make my saggy skin on my turkey neck worse. -
PVL Whey Gourmet Here it the link to the chocolate peanut butter shakes. There web site is really big so sometimes it can be hard to find things.

You know, everyone has told me that is the spot it is. I have a G spot stimulator and I used it all over inside that area and did not feel a thing. My bf also rubbed all over where you said I could not feel anything. My dr. said not all women's are sensitive. Do you agree with that? You can't break any rules in posting in the powder room, other than if you were to call someone a bad name. We have permission from alex to talk about anything we want in here. Of course, it must be tasteful, no swearing cuss words. -
I just ordered PVL Why Gormet peanut butter and chocolate protein shake mix. This stuff is delicious. They had been out of it before. It feels like a treat when I drink it. It's from netrition.com Everything they have there is really good and no matter now much you order the shipping is still 4.95

So if you are a sex educator, can you answer my question about the G spot? This is something I would really like to know. Where do you get that lube? -
Last night at support group, they talked about this being a life style change and not a diet. That does not work for me. I have to tell myself I am on a diet or otherwise I think I can have just "one" of this or that. That starts a major binge. When I look at sugar and say to myself, "no you are on a diet" somehow that gives me more willpower. Today I was proud of myself. I found a bag of chocolates in one of the cupboards at work. I closed the cupboard immediately. I have been doing good this week and not eating sugar. It's best to just get it out of my system. I

How the Lap-Band actually works, fills and refills
Oregondaisy replied to Wendell Edwards's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
i am anxious to see my doctor next week. He will explain the results of my esophagram. I hope I don't have a dialated pouch. I asked the x ray tech and he said it was, but only slightly. Somebody told me I should be on a liquid diet for this but I called my doctor's office and asked, and they said only for 24 hours. -
I did ask the urologist about the yogurt. She said to make a douche out of it. She said I needed to get that good bacteria in there. I am hoping the vaginal estrogen cream will help all these things. She seems to think if I get it back to where it was before menopause, that will help everything.

I have had those too. Put a warm washcloth on it and maybe you can get it to drain on it's own. I think it can be like an ingrown hair. I really like astroglide as a lube. It's Water based. -
A thread for Single Bandsters
Oregondaisy replied to NewBeginnings2018's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Things are going well right now. We haven't had any more incidents of failure to communicate. We will have to see what happens the next time we have a disagreement. Luckily, we get along very well. I have only been mad at him 3 times in the last 4 months. The first two times we were able to talk about the problem. The last time, he kept saying he was in a bad mood from working on his mother's house and just told me to let it go. I told him it's hard to let it go when I don't understand what he was upset about. I still don't think it was his mother because it didn't make sense for him to act so cold to Me when he was mad at his mother. Do they know what is wrong with your bf yet? Tell him to ask his dr. what the dr. thinks about milk thistle. I would be interested to hear if he agrees with my dr. -
Well, I was married at one point and my husband died at a young age. I was alone for quite a few years after that. After losing the weight, I met a great guy on match.com As far as having children go, my boss married someone ten years younger than her and had twins at the age of 50.

I would think that you should call the dr. about this. You are in menopause when you have gone one year without a period. I don't know what would cause you to have one after going so long without one.

okay, I'll bite. Do all women have a G spot? Or do some women have one but it's just not sensitive. I keep hearing about these fabulous G spot orgasms, but I don't seem to have any feeling other than in the clitoris. -
The user Cp stands for control panel. It's right at the top of the screen on the left side. It will bring you to every thread you have posted on. The five day pouch test is where you do liquids for 2 days, then 2 days of mushy and one day of solid Protein like chicken breast. up at the right of this screen, there is a place to search. if you put in 5 day pouch test, you can probably read all about it. I will try to find it. http://www.5daypouchtest.com/

How the Lap-Band actually works, fills and refills
Oregondaisy replied to Wendell Edwards's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
pb stands for productive burp. It's basically throwing up. Everyone must be careful about being too tight. I was too tight and didn't even know it. I never had any problems in the day time. I thought all my food was going down fine. I never felt food get stuck and I never pbed or threw up in the day time. My problem was in the middle of the night. I haven't had a fill since last dec. but last couple of months, I would throw up in my sleep. I had the barium swallow and the barium would not go into my stomach, it stayed in my esophagus. That is so dangerous. I had 1 cc taken out. I never thought I had a problem and I thought I was at my sweet spot. I got full on the right amount of food and stayed full for 3-4 hours. All this time, the food must have been staying in my esophagus instead of going down. The band is not intended to do all the work. Even if we are banded, we still have to to do our part . Having a tight fill is really bad and dangerous. -

Your daughter's birthday is on Christmas? How sweet! Thank you for acknowledging my issue. I think it's pretty strange too. I guess I must have been using my esophagus as a stomach. I have a follow up dr. appt. then I will be able to ask how it's possible to be so tight and not even know it. I too thought when you're too tight, you pb in the day time and have trouble eating. The whole thing freaks me out. -

I only have to be on liquids for 24 hours after a fill and then mushy for the next 24. That makes sense about the seratonin. I also buy almonds at Costco. I have been putting ground flax seed in my yogurt or if I eat my high fiber cereal. I have to grind it myself though. I am not eating my cereal this week though because I trying to eat low carb. I need to get the few lbs I gained back off. Plus when I eat low carb, I don't have the cravings. Unfortunately, not eating my cereal causes me to be backed up if you know what I mean. It's hard to get the fiber in when you eat low carb. -
I would not get another fill. Being too tight is dangerous. I was too tight and didn't even know it. I could eat anything I wanted. I didn't have trouble with any foods. I started throwing up in my sleep. When I had the test, the barium just sat in my esophagus for 15 min. My food must have stayed in there for hours. I never felt stuck though. I could have blown out my esophagus. I had to have 1cc removed. If you can get full on a chicken strip, you sound just right. Don't beat yourself up for eating wrong sometimes. That's why we all got banded. We have obsessive food problems. When I am stressed, I run to Baskin and Robbins or the Dairy Queen. I would not dare buy a half gallon of ice cream. I would eat the whole thing. I have no doubt about that.

That's probably why I hate Christmas. By the time it gets here, I am sick of it. I always say it should be like leap year, only once every four years. Then I could look forward to the year it got to be Christmas. I am wondering what the heck is Fifo too?
