Real Life Sex Educator Here---Feel Free to Ask Questions!
Oregondaisy replied to cattoy71's topic in The Gals' Room
I have definitely not had that feeling. I have had my bf search and press all over in that area. Actually, I do feel a spongy sort of spot but when I press on it, I feel nothing. damn it! I want a g spot orgasm. -
You are right to worry about stretching the pouch. I just had an esophagram and found out mine is slightly stretched. I never felt that full either. If you are eating solid protein, you should stay full longer than if you are eating anything else. If you get hungry, eat some more protein. If you haven't had a fill yet, it's very normal to feel hungry often. I can't tell from your post or ticker if you have had any fills.

Very scared! Need some help please!
Oregondaisy replied to becky42's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I recently went through this myself. I haven't had a fill since December. Suddenly, food started coming up in the middle of the night. I was basically puking in my sleep. I never had any trouble in the day time though. This is very dangerous. I didn't want any fill taken out either, but that is what I needed. I don't understand either why it took almost a year to happen, but the band is a very fickle thing. It has a mind of it's own! I didn't have much taken out, and the problem is gone now. -
I don't understand "getting stuck"
Oregondaisy replied to midwestchickie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yeah, pb is really not the correct term . It's basically puking, but it does stand for productive burp. I have had food get stuck, where I burped and food came up with it. Most of the time, it's not that easy. Okay, picture an upside down funnel. the band sits where the neck of the funnel and the ball of the funnel meet. When you are eating, some of the food does go down into the ball of the funnel. If it's a food that is not band friendly, or you haven't chewed enough, that spot gets plugged up. Nothing moves. It all just sits there and piles up until you either puke it up, or it moves down. When the saliva starts happening, it's the body's way of lubricating the area to hopefully get things to move. Unfortunately, often it makes it worse, because now you have a pile of slime on top of all the stuck food. You are supposed to take itty bitty bites ( the size of a pencil eraser) and chew until there is nothing left to chew. Then wait, and see if it goes down. Most of the time, that is easier said than done. I hope this helps! -
Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
Oregondaisy replied to IndioGirl55's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Welcome to all the new people joining in here in our over 50's thread. You are all doing so well cooking in the morning. I can't even imagine cooking that early. I hate cooking and cleaning up even more. I eat Kashi Crunch cereal in the morning. I add ground flax seed to it. It's the only way I can get my fiber into my diet. Things I eat a lot are meatloaf made from ground turkey, lunch meat rolled up with low fat cheese, egg salad, tuna salad, taco salad, turkey chili, and chicken. I buy the chickens that are already cooked from Walmart. I can eat for several days on one of those. I dip the breast in low fat ranch or make a salad and mix it in.I also eat a lot of fish. I do buy some lean cuisine meals for lunch sometimes too. Most of the time, whatever I make for dinner is lunch the next day. In the food and recipe section, there are several sites that have low carb recipes. I try to eat the good carbs and not the noodles rice, etc. I almost always have a sugar free fudgsicle in the evenings. My biggest problem is the weekends when I am at social functions and there is all sorts of good/bad ( however you look at it  foods around. I have no trouble with any foods, so my band isn't a big help stopping me from eating bad foods. I recently had to have some saline taken out because of acid reflux at night, so that hasn't helped matters either. I ordered some peanut butter chocolate protein shake mix and I plan to stick myself back on the liquid diet. I have done that before and it's a good way for me to get the cravings out of my system. -
newly banded - not losing
Oregondaisy replied to shafe001's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your band probably won't slip this soon, but it could later on down the road because the whole purpose of the post op diet is so that the band can heal properly on your stomach. If the stomach moves which is does digesting foods, the band can't form the adhesions it needs to stay in place later on when you are eating normal meals. You will never know now if you have a slip later on down the road if it's because you didn't follow the post op diet, or if it was going to slip anyway. -
They took out a bunch of the machines I really like at my gym. I was so disgusted this morning. I wasn't in the mood to learn how to use a new machine. I am glad my trainer taught me to find my target heart rate. I wouldn't want to spend any time exercising in the wrong target heart rate. He said that is good for the heart, but it's not burning fat and barely burning calories. Thanks for the compliment about the 30 min. I usually try to do 45-60 min of cardio, but some days I just don't have time. I am lucky I only work part time. I don't know how people who work full time can fit in exercise. I would be in trouble if I had to work full time. I also have a little watch that takes my pulse that is helpful to make sure you're in the target heart rate.

I am hungry all the time now. I see the doctor again next week and I am hoping I can at least have part of what they took out back. It still made no sense to me that I never got food stuck or had problems eating any food what so ever, but still had that night time problem. I have heard of so many people not being able to eat this or that. I could eat bread or anything without a problem and I had to have part of my fill removed and it makes not sense to me. I am anxious to talk to him about it all, since I never did see him, only the x ray tech.

You are both very lucky. I am sure if I had one I would have found it by now. I bought a toy that was supposed to guaranty a G spot orgasm. Like I said before, the only place I have any feeling at all is the clitoris. I wish it was inside where all the thrusting goes on. -

The plenty of fish forums are at Free Online Dating at Plentyoffish.com If you aren't single and looking for a partner or date, etc. you can put in your profile, only here for the forums. Right at the top of the screen if you click on forums, they are conversations about everything and anything under the sun from dating questions to the supernatural, health and fitness, etc. There is a huge list of topics to talk about. I like to read the sexuality section. It's amazing what strangers will share with one another. -
newly banded - not losing
Oregondaisy replied to shafe001's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Eating even soft foods until the band is healed on your stomach can cause the band to slip. If not now, later on down the road. You are risking losing your band. This is the time for healing not for losing. Quit worrying about stretching and start worrying about the band not healing on your stomach because it is moving trying to digest food. -

I have read about that on the plenty of fish forums. It must be true. There are so many women on there that swear they do that. It comes from stimulating that supposed G Spot that I don't seem to have. -
How the Lap-Band actually works, fills and refills
Oregondaisy replied to Wendell Edwards's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
When you have the right restriction, you feel full on a small amount of food. You keep feeling full for several hours. It's much harder to find restriction in the bigger bands. My band holds 4ccs -
Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
Oregondaisy replied to IndioGirl55's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I agree. The band does absolutely nothing for me when I am craving ice cream or chips. I could probably eat a half a gallon of ice cream or an entire bag of chips, and no matter how tight my band is, I would have no trouble getting that down. It takes willpower, plain and simple. Today, when I was craving sweets, I took out my exercise ball and did crunches. It was a good way to get my mind on something else. -
I couldn't figure that out. I couldn't understand why I can't get it through my head that a life style change does not mean a free for all. You summed it up perfectly! I guess my mind thinks I can have whatever I want cause I am not on a diet. I can't wait til my peanut butter shakes get here. I am going to really try to do a week of liquids. Made with water, they are 120 calories so even if I had 6 a day, I would be under 1,000 calories.

I think my dr. is right. She said everyone has a G spot but not everyone's is sensitive. I had my bf rubbing all over and pressing fairly hard on that area where I was told it was. I could not feel anything. Everyone said it starts like a feeling like you need to pee. I could not feel ANYTHING at all. the only place that feels good is the clitoris. I want to buy a vibrating ring. I just want to buy the right one and not waste my money. Has anyone used one? It would be nice to have one that vibrated right where I need the stimulation. My bf did not like going into the sex shop and looking around. We would rather brouse online. -
I hate it when people post just to post.....

Somebody could write the person with the offensive breath an anonymous letter. Take the chicken's way out.` I didn't think repairing a hernia made the surgery take any longer. My doc said it's an easy fix. I had one and my recovery could not have been easier. I was out walking 3 dogs at once the next day. -
That site did not work for me. What am I doing wrong. It said I had to be a VIP Did anyone see the Oprah show where they showed the people who had gained the weight back? Ali from last year is doing great.

It's Heba that bothers me. She acts like such a know it all. I can't wait for her to go down the road.

It doesn't seem to matter what I eat. I pass gas all the time and can never connect to anything that should have caused it. I do know when I eat my high fiber Cereal the mornings I go to the gym, I can count on gas in 4 hours after I ate it. Some days I don't eat it and will be gassy all day. It's weird.

maybe susan can give us some instructions on those cool avatars. -
Right, but she said she is racewalking. That's walking really fast, but you still burn more calories jogging. I wish my back could handle jogging. I was jogging yesterday, and my back hurt all evening long.
-
How do you know for sure you are burning 700 calories? Do you have a body bug which is hooked up to you analyzing how many calories you are burning? It's amazing how wrong some of those calculations can be when someone uses something like a body bugg and it shows actual calories burned. I use the elliptical machine at the gym and exercise hard for 30 min keeping my target heart rate up and only burn 300. That is working out so hard that sweat is pouring off me. My hair is wet from the roots to the ends.
-
I have really bad gas all the time. My kids get so mad at me, like I do it on purpose. I hate it.

is your heart rate going up? You need to subtract your age from 225 and mulitply that by 75%. That will give you your target heart rate. You need to keep your target heart rate for about 45 min at least 5 days a week. Take you pulse for 15 sec and multiply that by 4 to tell if you are working in your target weight loss heart rate. I don't agree that you aren't eating enough. 12-1400 calories is the right amount. I wouldn't eat any refined carbs. noodles, rice, potatoes, etc. Your carbs should come from whole grains some fruits and veggies and good carbs like Beans.
