    Givin' up the ice cream

Naw, I don't think it's a rebellion thing with me. It just tastes so wonderful! But...if I get it out of my system, I will have to stop remembering how good it tastes. It's definitely the first thing I think of when I am depressed or stressed out. My peanut butter choc. shake mix came today. I am happy about that. I really think I will try to freeze it and see what happens. It's 120 calories so even if I had 6 of them in a day, it would be under 1,000 calories. I have to lose this 10 lbs I gained because I want to wear all the pants that are uncomfortable on me now!

    My problem

We have almost been together 6 months, so it doesn't have anything to do with a long time between sex anymore. My main problem now are the yeast infections that come with taking the antibiotic before sex. If I could stop that, everything would be resolved, I think.

    Anyone have "The Rabbit"?

What is the difference between the bullet and a rabbit. I have seen my daughter's sex toys. (we are really close and open with each other) Her rabbit looked like a bullet with a rabbit stuck through it.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

I asked him and he said the report said I hadn't stretched my pouch, but he said he doesn't know how that could be possible. I called the hospital today to find out what all of this is going to cost me. $350.00 . I didn't know when they use the fluro that they don't see the band, only the port. This will sure make me think twice about taking that last bite when I know I am full. I am really afraid of doing damage.

    Givin' up the ice cream

All these well meaning people are getting in the way of us trying to break bad habits. they think they are being helpful bringing us stuff we like to eat. It stinks being a food addict! I am patiently waiting for my peanut butter chocolate shake mix. I am sticking myself back on the liquid diet to get rid of cravings. I checked and I ordered it 11-13. It's coming ground from NY to Oregon-across the country. Hurry up and get here. By the way, this stuff is delicious and shipping is 4.95 no matter how much stuff you order from Netrition.com It definitely satisfies my chocolate cravings. I wonder if you could freeze it. Then wouldn't it taste like ice cream? (evil grin!)
  6. Be sure you share this with your doctor. Most people say to stay on liquids for the day if you have that sort of trouble so everything can rest inside. There are a lot of people who are tighter in the morning, and a lot of people who can't eat eggs at all.

    Anyone have "The Rabbit"?

There are good reviews for some products but it's hard to know if something will work because it works for someone else:confused:

    heartburn and reflux

Saw the dr. today. He won't let me have any of my fill back. He said it would stress out my esophagus. He wants my esophagus to rest. I told him if the sleeve had been out when I got my band, I would have done that instead. With the sleeve, you don't have to worry about fills or after care ever again.
  11. No, it's not supposed to be urine. I read somewhere they analyzed it and it wasn't urine. It comes from somewhere else, not the bladder. Right now, I would be happy to be able to have orgasms from the clitoris like I used to be able to. Getting old sucks.

    Givin' up the ice cream

Went to the dr. today. He won't let me have any of my fill back. He said I need to be on all protein. Does anyone know what kidney stones feel like? I am in pain and my UA said I have crystals in my urine. That comes from too much protein in the diet, according to what I read online. I guess I need to stick with veggies if I can't have that much protein?

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

Netrition.com 's shipping is 4.95 no matter how much stuff you order. They have a fabulous peanut butter and chocolate protein shake mix. It's far better than added the powdered peanut butter to a chocolate protein shake. What else can you do with the powdered p.butter? I have several jars of it? Went to the dr. today and he won't let me have any of my fill back. He said I must be very sensitive to fills. I would like to know where all that food was going when the barium sat in my esophagus for 15 min. He said that there was no doubt that it was not at all good for my esophagus. I wonder why it never felt like food was stuck.

I hate it when people post just to post.....

I haven't received email notifications in months. I have to go to user CP and it brings me to all the threads I am active in. Can anyone tell me how to get those cool avatars? Also, does anyone know what a kidney stone feels like?

    I'm new!

Sometimes it takes a few fills before you will feel any difference. It's hard to be patient, but once you have the right amount of a fill, you will only be able to eat a small portion and you will stay full for a long time. A lot of it is willpower though, because there are slider foods that go right through the band. If you do your part and not eat things like ice cream where the band can't control the portions, you will lose weight. Go into the section that says General Lap Band support, and you will find a bunch of people who are newly banded. It really helps to have the support of others who are going through what you are going through.

    What Can Cause Band Slippage

Oh I did. I had an esophagram and the barium would not go down so I had to have 1cc removed. It's been nice this past two weeks to not have any problems at night. It seems so strange to me that just like Newlife, I had no trouble eating anything, nothing got stuck and I never pbed in the daytime. It was just this night time coughing and gagging. I have no clue how the food was going through when the barium couldn't . It must have stayed in my esophagus for a long time. I see the dr. tomorrow so I will have a lot of questions for him.

    Hair loss

My hair loss stopped at about one year out. I am almost 2 years out and have hair that is about 6" everywhere. Luckily, I have long hair and it used to be thick, so all those shorter hairs are not noticeable, unless I wear a pony tail. Then I have little short hairs all over around my face and neck.

    Givin' up the ice cream

Yeah, I am going to talk to him. I can't have that B & J in the house. He likes to have ice cream around on the weekends after dinner, but I have also bought 100 calorie ice cream sandwiches and 40 calorie fudgsicles.

    Exercising and Plateau

Yes, my trainer told me that too. You have to always keep your body guessing or it gets used to the routine and it's not as efficient of an exercise.
  22. That is what I have heard too. They are more intense and last longer?

    Givin' up the ice cream

My bf brought Ben & Jerry's over. I need to tell him to stop doing that. sometimes I buy the little weight watcher cups which are 140 calories. I should just eat those. They have little .99 cups of Ben and Jerrys he could have instead of buying a pint to split. I bet half a pint is 600 calories.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

I wrote a long message to April but then lap band talk went down last night and I lost it all. But mainly I wanted to say that I am sure most or all of us had doubts that the surgery would actually work for us. We will all be here for you. Sometimes it takes several fills to lose well, so don't get discouraged. It just takes time, even though we would all love to see a huge weight loss right away. You have come to the right place! We will all support you as you go through this journey with us!

I hate eggs. Well actually, I hate runny egg yoke. gross! The only way I can eat eggs is egg salad or scrambled eggs with ketchup. I don't have a problem with eggs. I should find out Wed. how much fill I have left. I don't know if my dr. will give me back any that I had to have out. I hope so, because I have been hungry and I have not been hungry for almost 2 years! I was on liquids 4 weeks post op and lost 22 lbs. Good thing, because then I plateaued for 4 months afterward.
