I hate it when people post just to post.....

Beth congratulations! Glad you sound like you're feeling pretty good. Tap, sorry about your car. Can somebody tell me (since I am so computer illiterate) once I make my picture from Meez, how do I move it over here to be an avatar. Or maybe it's too complicated to explain? I did save it.

    what to eat

No, no baby food. Usually, when food gets stuck, a bunch of saliva comes into your mouth which we call slime. This goes on because the body is trying to lubricate the area to get the food to pass. The best thing to do is keep spitting it out, or it will collect in there and make matters worse. The food that is stuck comes up. the best thing to do is learn to eat right and this won't happen. Take itty bitty (pencil eraser size ) bites and chew until it's liquid in your mouth. If you do this, you should be able to eat just about anything. Most people have the most trouble with bread. I eat a lot of chicken, or really any kind of meat, cheese, yogurt, etc . I stay away from noodles, rice , because white carbs are what causes people to be hungry. If you eat hard Protein, you will be more satisfied for longer times.

    Givin' up the ice cream

I have managed to lose a few lbs so that is even more incentive to not eat the evil sweets. Haven't tried freezing the shakes. It will be awesome if that works because they are only 120 calories and 3 carbs. I will make one up before bed and stick in the freezer and report back.

    Anyone have "The Rabbit"?

So if I bought a purple toy like that, I would enjoy it even though every toy I tried that is supposed to find the G spot never has done a thing for me?

    Slipped Band

If your band holds 10 ccs and you only have 11/2 you need more fills so you can have the benefits of the band. It's hard to be patient, but once you have more fill in your band, you won't be able to eat nearly as much. Can you get another fill?

    My problem

I wish it was that simple for me. I haven't had a bath in 27 years since my mom made me take one because she thought I would fall down in the shower after my C section. showers only for me.

    Slipped Band

I doubt if your band has slipped unless you were doing a lot of throwing up, or you were too tight for too long and having severe acid reflux. It's normal to go on plateaus. Just eat right and exercise and the scale will move again. If this is your first fill, that's normal too to not feel much difference. You didn't say if you know how big your band is, how much it holds, and how many fills you have had.

    Anyone have "The Rabbit"?

I feel rather silly that I got to be this age and just now found out about these things.
  19. I posted this under the rabbit thread too. Adam and eve have a 1/3 off sale right now. Seems like a good deal to me.

    What Can Cause Band Slippage

My band didn't slip and my pouch was not dialated. I am just going to have to have more willpower now, because he said he does not want me to have any more saline. I am not sure if that means never again, or what. I really want to get my band removed and get the sleeve. I wish it had been out when I got my band. I wish I had another 12 grand so I could do that. with the sleeve, there is no aftercare. You have surgery and you are done, no fills, nothing to worry about.

    Slipped Band

A lot of times, slips can be resolved by going on the liquid diet and keeping the band unfilled. I agree that she needs to see her band surgeon. Did you guys go to Mexico? That is the problem when people go to Mexico. I am not saying there is anything wrong with Mexican surgeons, but it's hard to get back there when there is a problem.

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

Call your doctor! You could damage your esophagus and/or cause your band to slip from throwing up. You have too much restriction. Katy, I am sorry for all you are going through. MIRSA can kill people. Your mom needs to know how serious this is. I hope you feel better soon. Tell your mom if you don't get some rest, you'll be back in the hospital.

Banded 6 years, here if you need me

If I were you, I would put up a post on the general lap band support section. Or, you could do a search with the search up above button, and put in May. You should be able to find people who got their band close to when you did, and you can support each other.
