It's normal to go on a plateau. I went on one for 4 months then started losing again. Sometimes your body just wants to get used to the new weight before it decides it will let go of some more.

Those pictures are adorable. I wish we had kangaroos and koalas here somewhere else besides in a zoo!

I went to support group last night. I spoke to the nutritionist and told him my fear about throwing up in the night. He felt a small fill was in order and that I can find a fill in between what I had and what I need. I have high hopes that a tiny fill will help and that I won't go back to having problems with night time throwing up. It scares me to get another fill cause I definitely don't need that problem again. I really hope that if the fill is tiny enough, it will be enough to help with the portion sizes I can eat now without causing problems again.

Sometimes it's just easier to not tell when you don't want to listen to everyone's comments. I have told people the truth. I exercise, and I have reduced my portion size. I told people that I did Slim fast low carb for a month to jump start my weight loss. None of this is a lie. the people who I knew would be supportive are people I told. The ones I knew would be judgmental are people I just don't feel need to know. It's definitely a need to know basis.

That's nice. It's a good thing when people can agree to disagree.

She was on tv last night and said she did not want more children. She also said that because she had them frozen, she felt they had to be used. I guess in her mind, if they weren't implanted, it would be the same as aborting them? Is that how you would take that?

Ultram is a great pain pill. It's supposed to be non narcotic. I have never tried taking it in the day time. I take it before bed when my back is hurting so much that I can't sleep because it's painful to lay down. It does make me sleepy. Vicodin causes constipation and I don't need any more of that!

He totally says it's our weather. It's always cold and raining every time he comes here. He always asks me how I can stand to live here. There are wonderful things about Oregon but the weather on the coast can be crappy. He said if we had better weather he would move here. Smith, are you going to have your ring made smaller?

Susan, How do I get that add on for firefox. I only use firefox but I never noticed it for an add on . It's been awhile since they sent me an update.

That is very sad:sad: I worry about my dad. I am going to AZ for his 90th birthday. He is very lonely and depressed. All his friends are dead. He won't move here because he hates it here. I go to see him as often as I can, but I would never leave my kids or grandbabies. I wish he would move here, but I guess he loves the sun more than he wants to see us.

My dad is very judgmental and I told him I had my gall bladder out. He was always on my case about my weight. Since I was a self pay, I knew he would always be making snotty comments on how I had to pay 10 grand to lose weight because I didn't have the willpower to "do it right" He can eat whatever he wants and never gains weight and has no idea what it's like. I have never regretted not telling him.

I do take probiotics. I get up in the middle of the night and take them since I was told to take them on an empty stomach. I wake up anyway, so it's a good time to take them.

Happy Birthday Girls! I just found out you can actually chat on FB. That would be something I would do someday. I do chat on LBT sometimes. There are a lot of chatters that come to chat on a regular basis but don't read the board. I don't get that. I am so sorry about the fires. We get them here in the summers. Fires are devastating. Stay safe!

I wish I could have my fill back. I can eat just like a person who does not have a band and it seems to be impossible to lose the 7-8 lbs I gained no matter what I do.

Katy I hope you can get in sooner. I hope you're telling them how much you're throwing up and that you're not able to eat hardly anything. They have to understand that you can't live like that!

Susan, what is AC? I like looking at pictures on FB. I have pictures on FB and I like it that other people can look at the pictures, but other than that, I am not getting what the big attraction is. Is it the Wall? You can say things that everyone can see? Maybe it's more fun than sending out mass emails? I just don't get it. I must be lame.

Yes, most people do say that. People think the less they eat, the faster they will lose. It seems people do lose better when they are eating at least 3 meals )even if they are small meals,) per day

It's a very fine line between being too tight and just right. I was too tight for one weekend. It felt like I had an elephant standing on my chest. I could feel the band squeezing my stomach. I only live 5 min from my dr. and was right back on Monday, thank goodness. It's very surprising that an itty bitty fill or unfill can make all the difference in the world.

I wish they would too. This is something that I am curious about. If you men are not comfortable answering here, you can come into the girls room and answer in the question "Why do women like anal sex" I don't understand why women like it although some have said they can orgasm from it, which mystifies me. Is the reason the guys like it because it feels tighter? Or just like variety? Curious minds want to know....

There is a good description on fills called (I think ) Fills and refills How the band works. It's in the fill section of the board and it should be easy to find as it's a sticky. Basically, when you have good restriction, you feel full pretty quickly, like as if you were to take one more bite, you might throw up. Just because you are stuck, does not mean you are full. If you get stuck, it's either you took too big of a bite, or you didn't chew well enough. Sometimes when you are stuck, you are done eating, just because you're so stuck you can't eat. Thick saliva starts coming into your mouth until whatever is stuck moves through the band, or it comes back up.

Actually, I started a face book account. I am not sure how to find people there though, or how to have people find me,either. How do I do that?(without letting people who I might not want as friends contacting me?) All of you said face book was easier than myspace, but I am finding it really confusing. I guess it takes a little while to get used to it?

I lost half my hair. It started at 4 months and didn't stop until one year post op. Every time I took a shower, I lost handfuls. There are so many threads about this, and it really has nothing to do with Protein or Vitamins. I tried every supplement and Vitamin known to man kind, and I tracked my protein and got plenty of it. It stops when it wants to. Some people are lucky and don't lose any, or don't lose much. Others are like me, and wonder when it's going to stop. It's an individual thing. Luckily, I have thick hair too. You can do a thread search up at the top of the board and read tons of information on this subject.
