Why does she have to stay on the road so much? I can see if they are under contract to do the show for one more season, then that's what they have to do. It would seem if she really wanted to save her marriage, she would give all the rest of it up. I guess I don't know enough about it, but it's really sad for the kids.

I worry about that as well. It's my turkey neck that bothers me.

That is way cool. Anything that has that Malitol which is sugar alcohol makes me so gassy I have to be alone for the rest of the day. I have to be careful, cause now some of the Atkins bars have it too. I just ran out of the bars I use. I am going to look for the mud pie. I just resstocked at costco on Protein drinks. I love the muscle milk light.

With the 5 day pouch test you do 2 days liquid protein, 2 days soft protein, things like tuna, then one day hard protein like chicken. No carbs. Glad everyone is still happy with their band. I am loving the sleeve. It's so great never to think about food anymore. My dad died unexpectedly while I was in Arizona visiting him. Normally, I would really be doing some emotional eating but I haven't . When they remove that hormone with the sleeve, it really is true that it takes away the appetite. I just love it. I have lost all the weight Igainded back when I had to have most of my fill removed.

My surgeon that banded me has a center of excellence which is unheard of for the tiny practice that he has. He has never done a sleeve. That was good enough for me to go to Dr. Aceves. I love my band doctor. If he had done the sleeve surgery for the same price as doctor Aceves, you bet I would have gone to him. I wanted somebody experienced with revision surgery and the best choice and best doctor for that is Dr. Alberto Aceves.

I don't get it. The reply comes on the screen. I can delete out when I reply back so the other person's entire message doesn't have to keep showing. I'll have to go over to LBT and try to figure out what the difference is.

I have never seen any marshmellow mud pie anything of Atkins. Is this a bar or a shake? I am actually in a city that has Target. At home, I am very limited to where I can shop. I love several of the Atkins bars. Now, these pure Protein drinks; do they have sugar alcohol in them? That stuff give me so much gas. It's terrible for me. I know the pure Protein Bars have that in them.

I didn't notice it being any different than LBT. What is the difference?

That is so great! I have put myself back on liquids because I am never hungry and under a great deal of stress right now. My scale hasn't moved in a couple of weeks. I didn't have that much to lose since I got my band removed a little over a month ago, but I would sure like to get to my goal.

I already posted about the night I found out my dad broke his hip. We were all scheduled to take him back to Oregon with me. My daughter and great SIL were willing to let him move in with them. My daughter is an RN, was the director of an assisted living home, and spent a lot of her nursing school days working in nursing homes. Sbe felt that she was the best person to care for him since he fell and broke his pelvis in April. After leaving the ER and realizing this was now all down the tubes, I headed straight to the Dairy Queen for a blizzard. Talk about self destruction. I've already experienced what ice cream does to me. I spent the next several hours on the toilet. In one way it was great. My brother who is a big ol pot head had come down here to AZ to help me and had done nothing but lay around in the back yard getting stoned the entire time he was here. Time was running out, and my dad's apartment needed to be emptied out. So, while I was experiencing what ice cream does to me, my brother worked his behind off, cleaning my dad's pig stye of an apartment. So why is this? I can eat yogurt with no trouble. I think it's really good, because ice cream really has always been my big downfall. I'd like to know why it does this though, just for the heck of it.

I know. I was surprised to see it there, right on the label.

I looked at the label today at costco at the shots bullets or whatever they are called. The ingredients said collagen. Everyone on that other board swears that this Protein drink that you can order from vitacost.com called lean dessert is absolutely fabulous. I ordered the choc. coconut but it will come to my house and I am still in Arizona. I am anxious to try it. It comes in something like banana bread, fudge pudding, whipped vanilla, I can't remember all of them. I love the choc. Peanut Butter that WasA turned me on to a long time ago. My band doc had us on liquids for 4 weeks, btw. He has the lowest complication rates in the Pacific NW, and is a center of excellence which is unheard of in such a small practice, and I don't think he's ever had a band slip. Atkins shakes are very thin. They are about as thin as Water.

It's great actually. Every time I go by the dairy queen now, I look at it and feel sick. I love that!

I have a friend who had her surgery a week to the day after me. She pukes and slimes every day. She did not follow the post op diet to the letter. I told her her stomach probably still has swelling due to the fact that she wasn't progressing through the food stages like we were supposed to. Could there be any other reason she pukes every time she eats 2 bites? I lurk over there at the other place and they have mentioned strictures. I am not sure what that even is or even if I spelled it right. Since WasA and Elizabeth are both nurses, I thought I'd ask here. WasA knew I was concerned about her before she even had surgery. She may be a bad patient, but she is still my friend and I would like to be able to give her good advice. Thanks!

No actually, my brother lives in Chicago, where I am originally from. I didn't think the Dairy Queen uses frozen yogurt. I wish someone who has been sleeved awhile could answer this question. On The Other Board, they talk about the lactose intolerance all the time. I just don't get it. Does anyone know if it's sugar or milk products? I can eat yogurt without any problems.

I can hardly wait. It's so much fun to talk in real time.

I love having our own board. It's been really hard because I enjoy the chat room at LBT. It will be good when the chat room opens up and we can really talk to each other. I have gotten to know so many people in the chat room who think I was nuts to have part of my stomach removed. I want to tell them so badly to just wait til they start puking and going for fills and unfills and then tell me how much they love their band. I didn't even have that many problems with the band and I hated it after awhile. It's ridiculous that one day you can eat a certain food, and the next time you try it, you puke it up.

Isn't it great that we have so many intelligent and informed sleeve buddies to gather information from? I love it!

I really agree with Elizabeth and WAsA. Eating carbs is defeating your entire purpose. Have you ever looked to see how many carbs there are in one banana? If you did the basic Atkins diet, there is no way you would be that hungry. Cut out the toast and eat some egg beaters or scambled eggs made mixed with Water when you scamble them. Every time I started the Atkins diet, I lost 5 lbs in 3 days. It's not a diet that is all that easy to stick to long term, but we are talking 2 weeks here. We are all going to support you!

Oh she did have a psych eval when she was trying to get her insurance to pay for her surgery. The person told her she had major food issues. She knows she does. When she was not following doctors orders, I told her the stories I read about concerning leaks. I talked to her today and she said going back to work has been good for her. She says she is not puking anymore.

How is that going? You said you dusted the treadmill off, lol I am way too cheap to let shopping become an addiction. Plus I don't even like to shop. I am glad in a way I was banded before the sleeve. I already have all the clothes I want. My addiction is the net. I can't wait for our chat room to open. I have made friends in the LBT chat room, but it gets annoying when they think I am band bashing when I say I didn't like the band anymore. I am so glad we got this board going. It's really hard to be happy for someone waiting to get the band and they get "their date" I always want to ask them if they have ever even considered the sleeve, but I have to bite my tongue.

Right now I am freaking out because when I left for Arizona I only brought enough hormones to last a week and I am staying another week since my dad fell and broke his hip. I don't want to be without my hormones! I didn't have that problem when good old TOM came around.
