I have been looking everywhere for this fage yogurt. Every store I have been in around here has never even heard of it. I am going out of town this thurs. so I may look for it at trader joes. Does costco carry it . I will definitely go there for their premeire Protein bars. I hate the premeire Protein drinks that everyone likes, but I love the bars. I can only eat half at a time. They are really big.

Reflections from a Fat Chick

I didn't want to buy new clothes until I absolutely had to. Once I started wearing clothes that weren't falling off of me, I got comments nearly every day. It's hard though, to wear more form fitting clothes. When you're fat, you're so used to wearing loose, long, baggy things trying to cover it all up. -

I love Talaipia too. Never even thought about the Geo. Foreman. That's a great idea! -
Judy I am thrilled to hear this! It will all work out with the lay off. As you said before, God always provides for you!

Yeah, I was thinking that same thing.

Oregondaisy replied to i1Linda's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I get my calcium citrate from vitacost.com They are chewable and don't taste that bad. You can get so many things there, and the prices are fabulous. the shipping is the same no matter how much you order. I think it's 4.99 -

It took me about 30 lbs before my clothes were falling off of me so badly that I had no choice but to get some new ones. The new clothes made a difference. The ones I was wearing were to baggy, you couldn't see the loss. -
I've been checking the chat room and there is never anyone in there. We should set up a time to have a chat.

Compulsive Worrier

Oh, I am really surprised they didn't tell you that you needed to stay on an acid reducer. It seems to be pretty standard with all sleeve surgeon's aftercare. -
Exercising is not only good for the body it's great for the spirit and moods too. I am glad to hear your found some place you like Judy. I see people posting on that other board about having plateaus and stalls, and exercise is the best way to avoid all of that.

Anyone want to meet in the chat room?
Oregondaisy replied to Oregondaisy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
No, I don't think that was what it was from. It started when we were having a really good time at his family reunion. I definitely think there is something going around. Several people I know having been feeling nauseous too. I am just glad it's gone. -
Hey that's good to know!

You are all so sweet. It means a lot to me.

I have little nylon shorts that I wear with a swim suit. That's the best I can do. My fat rolls around my middle don't look so bad standing up, but sitting down is another story. I always wonder how much of it is just skin. I will never know.

Do we always have to talk about the sleeve?
Oregondaisy replied to Oregondaisy's topic in The Gals' Room
Bill is in desperate need of therapy. His whole family is dysfunctional, and his way of dealing with things is to just not talk about it. He will never be happy. -

I was nauseous all week long and was beginning to think it was sleeve related My friend has been that way ever since she had surgery, a week after me. It seems to be gone now though, thank goodness. -
Well no matter what your name is or what it means, we are glad you're here!

Do we always have to talk about the sleeve?
Oregondaisy replied to Oregondaisy's topic in The Gals' Room
Oh and I forgot to mention that bf and I had that talk. I talked about it in another thread. All this time, he's been mad about something I said on face book. I can't even believe it. It's just like high school again. The part that bothers me the most is he knows me very well. He should know better than when I said what I said on there, I was not talking about anything that had to do with him or his family, the way he thinks. Everyone keeps telling me to kick him to the curb, but it's hard when we USED to be so happy. -
Welcome Barb. We are one big happy family here, and we are glad you decided to join us.

okay, I will chime in here since I am very worried about my hair as well. I lost half my hair when I had lap band surgery. I can't afford to lose anymore. I have been using all the nioxsin products and it seems like it has slowed down. Plus Dr. Aceves told me to increase my zinc and I am doing that. He said hair loss has to do with low zinc levels. As for recovery from surgery, I have had dental work done that was way more painful than this. I went back to work right away. I was totally bored in the hospital for 3 days. The sleeve surgery itself is the easiest part of all of this. The liquid diet was not fun. It's not that hard, it just gets boring.

That's a really good question. I never knew there was a scale that would show anything besides how many lbs you weigh.

opening up the chat window just in case anyone is up for some late night chatting -
I am one that hides from the sun. I have been sunburned too many times and have finally learned my lesson. Hey I wonder if we can sneak into one of the hotels and lay by their pool, or does bearded and Vegas have their own pool? Never even considered bringing a swim suit.

Oregondaisy replied to Oregondaisy's topic in The Gals' Room
Well I wish they would put their differences aside and go back to sharing their knowledge and wisdom with us. Plus, Elisabeth is newly sleeved, and I am sure now and then she must have something she wants so talk about too.
