I guess I am really lucky that I never get that stuck feeling. I've been able to drink as much as I want from day one, with no discomfort. I just have to be careful to stop before I feel full because if I feel full at the table, I will feel miserable 15-20 min later.

I am going to get some of those premeire protein drinks next time I go out of town to Costco. I don't know why the first time I tried them, they were chalky and gritty. When I tried Ruthi's they were really good. 30 grams is a great way to start off the day.

What kinds of things do you eat? Did you exercise a lot? I am 5'2" and I just seemed to have stopped losing. If you could let me know what a days' menu looks like for you, I would appreciate it. thanks! -

If anyone is not on the west coast, all they have to do it say what time is good for them. I keep the chat window open so if I am doing something else, I hear the door bell ring so I know someone has opened the chat window. -

mac would you consider changing the background color of your blog. I like to read it but the background color makes it really hard to see. I guess you are the one that needs to be able to see it though! -
I get that feeling like my heart isn't beating right if I eat something with too much fat or too much sugar. They say we don't have that dumping syndrome that people who have had RNY/gastric bypass, but I definitely feel very strange if I eat something high in fat and sugar.

Wow, that is really sad. We don't care here who your surgeon was. We are really one big happy family here. Congratulations on your success. I seemed to have stopped losing, even though I wouldn't mind losing a little bit more. My body seems to be happy where it is, at a size 10-12 but heck, at almost 57 I am good with that! -
I do take probiotics. I can eat cheese for some reason with no trouble.

I don't get why more people don't chat. The lap band chat room is full of people every night. I have friends in there from chatting for a couple of years, but I can't be happy for those new people who come in and are so happy they are having band surgery. Does anyone want to talk tonight? -
What is Folicure? Mine is really falling out badly. I haven't lost that much weight, cause I lost most of it banded, so I don't think it has a thing to do with weight loss.

Until then you can keep giving your extra to the homeless. You did your good deed that day! -

congratulations Susan. I remember that feeling well. When people asked my goal, that was my only goal, to be able to shop in the regular section. I am really happy for you! -
I didn't tell anyone, other than my kids and my friend that also has the sleeve.

Why I chose the Sleeve--better late than never!

isn't that the truth? People are still getting banded and they are so happy and excited. they have no clue what they are getting themselves into. -

I can eat one small piece of pizza if it's thin crust. Then I usually pick at the toppings of another piece and i am usually sorry because then I am too full. -
The sleeve really is LIFE CHANGING
Oregondaisy replied to Ruthi's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Lol Ruthi. It's amazing when you watch the other people pack it in. She always tells me I've lost enough weight and I should eat a little more. I've had experiences where I have sat there and slimed for an hour and was so uncomfortable. I always bring the dog. It's quite helpful. -

Natalie, I am glad you are here posting your story. So many people are so excited that they are getting their band and I just wish more of them would come and read all about how miserable the band could be. I loved mine in the beginning, but once the problems started, I could not wait to get that thing out of me. I love the sleeve! -
I'm so HAPPY with the SLEEVE!!!
Oregondaisy replied to babygirlinokc's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am happy for you baby girl. The sleeve really is a great thing. The weight will just keep coming off. I agree, it's way better than the band. -
Even frozen yogurt gives me horrible gas but it's nothing like the sitting on the toilet all night that ice cream will do to me. It's a good thing though. Ice cream doesn't sound as temping to me as it used to. I can drink a few sips of milk but no more.

glad you are home safe and sound. Now the fun begins every time you get on the scale!

Yes, we are all one big happy family over here. I do read posts over there, but I don't have the connection that I need and get here.

The sleeve really is LIFE CHANGING
Oregondaisy replied to Ruthi's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My friend who does not know I had surgery keeps inviting me over for dinner. It's difficult to try to keep explaining why I eat so very little. Good thing I always bring my dog. I sneak bites to her under the table. I think I will decline her next invitation to dinner. It's difficult to watch her family keep eating. -

How are you doing now? Has the scale started to move a little bit? -
Good to know. I eat popcorn. I am glad when I am at the movies, the sleeve won't let me eat as much as I used to.
