Obstructed by a "bezoar", has anyone else heard of this?
Oregondaisy replied to Vampyrvet's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am anxious to hear the outcome. Didn't the doctor have any advice for her? -

Has anyone rented any good movies lately? The weekend is coming and I need some opinions so I have more to choose from. I think I will check into Steph's suggestion of Revolutionary Road if nobody suggests anything else. I usually watch movies with a friend, and our movie tastes are different, so sometimes it's hard for me to pick one we both will like. She is the friend I have mentioned before, who had a heart attack at age 48 so she has been stuck in the house a lot lately.

Feeling a little guilty...just rambling
Oregondaisy replied to deedee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I rarely tell anyone. I exercise daily for a couple hours at the gym so I don't feel guilty when people ask me how I keep my weight down. -

Week 1 follow up results
Oregondaisy replied to mdgibbs's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My gym has tvs in front of all the cardio equipment. There are other gyms that would cost me less, but I have to have those tvs. Sometimes I plan my gym time according to what I want to watch on tv. -
Not sure if Judy was having surgery today or if she arrived in Mexicali today. Which ever it is, she is in great hands. I look forward to hear how you're feeling Ky. Hen, Judy!

Oregondaisy replied to LAN2k's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I take Protonix. It comes in generic so it's pretty cheap, with my ins. It prevents acid from forming. -
I am so happy for you Tiffy!

I will never eat coconut that's for sure. I ate some pumpkin seeds the other day and thank God, I didn't have a problem. Makes me scared to eat them again, and I sure love them. -

Oregondaisy replied to nana2three's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome! I am thrilled to have the band gone and have the sleeve. I hope you are able to get the sleeve surgery too. Living with it is so much better than living with the band. -
Welcome! you will love the sleeve and love it here with our sleeved family!

Oregondaisy replied to cajun's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
That is a fantastic weight loss Cajun. I have to sleep on my back according to my ortho doctor, so I got used to that years ago. -
I hope some of Dr. Aceves' patients will read their surgery report. I was told he uses a 32. I was surprised when someone told me to read mine and it said 36

Emotional eating, mixed emotions
Oregondaisy replied to Bob_350lbs's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I totally understand. My bf broke up with me after telling me just a week before, that he had never been happier in his life and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Then my dog died a couple of weeks ago,who was definitely my baby. We do learn other coping methods. Unfortunately, grazing is still possible with the sleeve. It's totally possible for me to eat nuts, chips, and candy. I have to decide for myself that I don't want to gain any weight back and head to the gym when I feel stressed out. We all understand and are here for you. -
I just read my surgery report and it says he used a 36 but oversews it to a 32

Question about protein foaming in the blender
Oregondaisy replied to WhiteRice's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Yes, I forgot to make that more clear. That is only the first few days that you can only drink 2 oz every twenty minutes. You progress from there. -
I take protonix. They are very tiny pills. I have taken them since 3 days after surgery with no problems. They come in generic so my doc prescribes them for me to take twice per day. I only take one per day, but that way I get 60 pills for $10. My ins. will pay $10 for any generic prescription.

Yes, my instructor is very good at that. I love that class. It's just difficult for me to not add more weight when I really want to . If I do, my back and neck just kill me the next day. I usually do an hour of cardio after the class is over. It really gets me in the mood to want to exercise!
