Thanks Tiff! There are times when I do feel really guilty, and then there are other days when I don't hear from them that I don't feel like I am an important part of their life. So, until one of them shows me or starts talking about his feelings for me, I remain confused. I am not going to sit home if I have an invitation to do something fun. I just don't feel the need to say " oh and by the way, last night I went out with somebody else because you didn't call."

Speak up those with leaks & infections!

Nikki, I am really glad you posted your experience. Everyone keeps saying that only people who have had first hand experience should post their experience, and you did just that! I can't remember the name of the girl who posted her horrible experience, but her post got deleted. -
thanks for your advice. I'll keep that in mind. Right now, I am still seeing both of them until one of them shows me in some way or another that they want to become more serious. I have not gotten that feeling from either one of them.

I get Brown Cow at Walmart too. The plain has the least amount of carbs and you can add so many things to make it good. Adding chocolate protein powder and some splenda is really good.

If this is true, why don't you make a post on this board asking all Dr. Aceves patients to please respond if they have any complaints. -
Going alone to see Alberto Aceves or......
Oregondaisy replied to tennessee1031's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I went alone to Dr. Aceves.I had no desire to take anyone with me. I had a great experience there and would love to go back just to visit. My main problem there was that I was bored. Thank Goodness Dr. Campos loaned me his cell phone (mine would not work) and his lap top. They are all so great there! -

Sandy what are you talking about? These posts were on this board and they were removed. They were not edited. I specifically asked Dr. Aceves if Michelle works for him and he said no. He said she is just a very happy patient. All Dr. Aceves patients are happy. Nobody has one bad thing to say about him Dr. Almanza and Bettencourt who is not even a doctor and only claims to be one, can't say the same thing. There are many, many unhappy people who have gone there and ended up in the hospital in the United States after leaving there and going home with serious complications. __________________ -

Isn't that great? It was only last week that you were saying that you weren't losing fast enough. You'll be at goal in no time! -
We are all pulling for you Anna. If you need someone to talk to, I would be happy to give you my phone number. You've had a rough start!

That's true. Some are lucky and have no complications. Others are not so lucky and are in the hospital for months trying to recover. -
Straws? Can anyone shed some light for me?
Oregondaisy replied to DisneyAddict's topic in Food and Nutrition
I think it's easier for me to drink with a straw too. I definitely drink more when I have a straw in my glass. -
That's great Anna. There are a lot of liquids you can have at this point. Drink them slowly. You can have drinkable yogurt, Soy Slender is soy milk that's really good and low carb. It's not in the fridge section. If you like your Protein drinks, that's really great. There's also K20 protein Water. Just try to sip something a little at a time all day long.

help please!
Oregondaisy replied to HEARTONMYSLEEVE's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Definitely drink your liquids warm. Vegas Angel had spasms and Dr. Aceves told her to drink her liquids warm to prevent spasms. You should call your doctor for other advice, but also drink sips of warm liquids through out the day. -
Straws? Can anyone shed some light for me?
Oregondaisy replied to DisneyAddict's topic in Food and Nutrition
I use a straw all the time. Every time I go out to eat, I ask for water with a straw. I use a straw at home. You can use a straw as long as you aren't gulping air when using a straw. It's not hard to do that. -
Miralax is the best because putting as much benefiber in liquids to get enough fiber gives me horrible gas.

Oregondaisy replied to Can.sleeved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
As a matter of fact, there is. Things have been checked out through telephone conversations and other research. We just aren't allowed to post about it, because it will just get deleted. -
check in with us at chat one of these nights, Cajun!

You can drink Miralax as well. Miralax is not a laxative but it puts liquid where it needs to go.

I am SO about to lose all of my hair...= [
Oregondaisy replied to TiffanyIsMajor's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh good thought. I bought some good meds on my recent trip to the Caribbean! -
I eat broccoli just fine. I eat it raw and cooked. I couldn't when I was first sleeved though.
-
Was it cooked? It must be cooked very well when you're newly sleeved.

Can vetrans gulp water???
Oregondaisy replied to stcyt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can guzzzle just as much water as I could before surgery. I don't sip at all. I drink all I want all at once. I will be 1 year post op at the end of the month. -
I am almost at one year post op. I have new hair growing in all over the place. All you can do is make sure you get plenty of Protein and you are not low on Iron. Being anemic can also cause hair loss. It came out the most between 4-9 months.

yes, gall bladder problems are very common with any type of WLS.
