I am glad you like it. I hate it. I find it really difficult to navigate around and it's even more difficult to reply to a post. I am probably going to be spending a lot more time over at OH. The old format was perfect so I don't know why it needed to be changed. The chat room is going to die because all the regular chatters hate the new chat room.

Okay I am hating it still, and I will probably be posting more at OH. I will not get used to this. there is nothing good about it that I cn see. what was wrong with the old format?

When you go to your pms, I don't see a way to delete several at once. I don't see a box that you can check to delete a bunch of pms at once. I have been having to open the pm and then delete it. Is there going to be a spot to click on new posts? Also, we are all really unhappy with the new chat. There isn't a way to make the font bigger, or change the color. Is this the chat room we are going to be stuck with? There are a lot of us that really liked to chat in the evenings but I think the chat will just die a slow death if this is the chat we are stuck with . The screen is too small too. thanks Alex, I know you work hard to make VST the best! thanks also for showing me how to get to user CP

Post Op Liquids Question.....
Oregondaisy replied to dbrar88's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you have been cleared for full liquids you can have soup as long as there are no big chunks in it. -
2 wks post & unable to move to mushies...
Oregondaisy replied to vanishingvixen's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Good advice Diva! I just for the first time tried the Syntrex nectar products. I decided to get the sample packet because I will be flying soon and wanted to take some Protein with me. I think they are very good. Protein is important for healing so I would suggest trying to find one you can tolerate. Potatoes don't have any protein in them anyway, so they really aren't the best idea for a meal when you're getting very little protein daily. -
What is WRONG WITH ME???
Oregondaisy replied to sleeve 4 me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Really it does get better. I really feel like I eat normally now. My portions are small, but I am satisfied and when I go out to eat, I eat what other people eat. I just can't eat as much. It's so worth it. I love not being fat anymore! -
Congratulations! I remember when you first got sleeved and you were doubting yourself. I knew you could do it. If you want to lose a little more, I wish you the best!

A Hundred Pounds... Finally!
Oregondaisy replied to Keys Pirate's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congratulations! I love how everyone is so happy on this board. You rocked your sleeve! -
Some people do get nauseous because they aren't drinking enough. It's easy to get dehydrated which makes nausea worse. That's why they encourage you to sip small amounts of liquids every 20 minutes. If people are nauseous, they stop drinking and this compounds the problem. I never had any nausea after surgery. I felt great after the first 24 hours and I have never regretted having this surgery for one second.

Let's count Dr. Aceves Patients!
Oregondaisy replied to Oregondaisy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
To have surgery by one of the best surgeons around, last I heard, if you don't have a band to remove it's 8750. That includes 3 nights in the hospital and Dr Aceves and Dr. Campos will see you 3 times per day, transportation to and from the airport in San Diego, complete labs, chest xray, ekg, one night in a beautiful hotel after your lab work, and aftercare. You take all your lab work paperwork and xrays home with you, and if you have any concerns after you're home, Dr. Campos will call you personally. -
~*~ WORKOUT Challenges and Chat Thread ~*~
Oregondaisy replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I don't know why I never saw this thread before. I love to work out too. I get really grumpy when something stands in the way of my gym time. I am really getting sick of the weights routine I am doing and I am looking for something new to do. I need to find a book or something to show me how to use the free weights instead of the machines all the time. I am good on cardio. I have a trail that I walk on with a friend that is over 3 miles and is up and down hill, besides doing the ellipitkill machine at the gym and I alternate jogging and walking on the treadmill too. -
Peanut Butter - Chocolate protein powder?
Oregondaisy replied to Globetrotter's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Not really. Some people are afraid of the calories. Sometimes when I am craving it, I will eat it by the spoonful. It does not seem to make me gain weight. -

chew, chew, chew - is it like this for you?
Oregondaisy replied to 1-4-Many's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was never told to chew 30 times. I was told to chew until it's liquid in your mouth or soft apple sauce consistency. I take advil with milk, by the way. -
im 6 days post op and scared ill never be able to eat anything good again
Oregondaisy replied to selvester420's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You're supposed to be on a PPI for acid right out of surgery. cottage cheese warms up and gets like the middle of lasagna. It's good with spaghetti sauce or pizza sauce. -
I had the best NSV today. I have been writing and talking on the phone for about a month with this really hot guy. I found him on a dating site and wrote to him but never thought he would write back because he's so darn cute. I've been afraid to meet him even though he has seen my picture. We met today and had a great day. He had his hand on my thigh when we were sitting side by side and said he could feel all the muscle in my thigh. He is a personal trainer. He said he had a great day and can't wait to see me again. Whoa, I never thought a guy like that would ever be interested in me, even at goal. Needless to say, I am very excited.

Current research has implicated Vitamin D deficiency as a major factor in the pathology of at least 17 varieties of cancer as well as heart disease, stroke, hypertension, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, depression, chronic pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, muscle weakness, muscle wasting, birth defects, periodontal disease, and more. Vitamin D's influence on key biological functions vital to one's health and well-being mandates that Vitamin D no longer be ignored by the health care industry nor by individuals striving to achieve and maintain a greater state of health. I know I feel 100% better since I raised my vit D level from 30 up to 80. One of the benefits from having a higher level of Vit D is being deficient in this causes cravings for sweets.

Peanut Butter - Chocolate protein powder?
Oregondaisy replied to Globetrotter's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I am going to order some samples. I hope it's not gritty like the PB2. That would be great to add to the chocolate Protein shakes, if it doesn't make them gritty the way the PB2 does. -

Potato chips can be chewed down to nothing. You can fit a lot of potato chip dust in a sleeve. Globbed up chicken, another story. -
