The ticker help tutorial does not work. When I paste the code into my signature, I get an error message that tells me to go to the help menu. I am doing it exactly like the instructions say to do it. I can't send any private messages because I get a pop up that says Undefined I am getting really frustrated here!

I've found that I get totally smashed on one drink since I've been sleeved. I am not a drinker and I don't like that feeling. I can't even be sociable.

A very interesting evening for me...
Oregondaisy replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I've had that happen quite a few times. It's pretty strange because it will happen with something I have eaten before without problems. I know i can't have more than a sip of milk. I can eat cheese and yogurt though. I've told the story before about when I had a piece of cheese cake from the Cheesecake factory and I had to lay down for an hour in a mall (thank Gold there was a couch) I felt too sick to move. I know it was a combination of the sugar and the fat. Dizzy, nauseous, sweaty, stomach cramps, and the reason I finally got up was to run to find a restroom.. After that, I used just about every rest room in that mall. Its really hard to get back to the program when you let the sugar monster in. Between my birthday a few days before Halloween, and then Halloween, I have really been fighting the head hunger and major cravings. Glad you're back on Program Diva. We can keep track of each other since we're both kicking carbs and sugar at the same time. -
I am happy for you and your success! You 'll be at goal in no time at all!

You haven't said what you're eating and if you're exercising. Are you eating low carb? -
What the heck is going on????
Oregondaisy replied to therealme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It sounds like it can be gall bladder pain. Did they do an ultrasound of your gall bladder in the ER? Gall bladder pain is on the right side. I ignored mine because it always went away eventually, and I ended up with pancreatitis and couldn't have my gall bladder out until that went away. I was in the hospital for 5 days, and if I had just gone to have my gall bladder out, I could have had it out and gone home the next day. -
I saw him do an interview on David Letterman and he said he did not have WLS, but who knows.

Dr. Aceves took my band out and did my sleeve at the same time. Dr. Aceves is great and I highly recommend him. If the band didn't do any damage to your stomach, I don't see any reason why you would have to wait. Contact their office.

how many carbs is needed
Oregondaisy replied to ninaboo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I lose well when I don't have anymore than 30 grams per day. Now that I am in maintenance, it's different, but during the losing phase, I limited them to 30. -
I get my calcium chewables from vitacost.com They are great cause they only charge 4.99 for shipping for no matter how much you order. I get my lean dessert Protein shake mix there too. They have everything you can think of, including Biotin shampoo for hair loss. It's a great site. I get my gummy adult chewable Vitamins from costco.

Sleeved 1 week - very hungry and worried!
Oregondaisy replied to VicR's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Full liquids are protein shakes, yogurt ( I eat greek yogurt, more protein less carbs) drinkable yogurt, pudding, any kind of soup you want if you put it in a blender and make sure there are no chunks. some people eat soupy cereal like oatmeal or cream of wheat, but I didn't want the carbs. -
Sleeved 1 week - very hungry and worried!
Oregondaisy replied to VicR's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am surprised they let you move to mushies already. I was on clear liquid for 10 days and then 10 more days of full liquids before moving to mushies. don't worry . When you move to solids, you'll feel a big difference. You should consider yourslef lucky. A lot of people feel nauseous and sick and don't even feel like like eating at one week out. You just have to be patient. The weight loss will come! -
You don't really have to worry about counting the carbs in veggies. As long as it's not peas corn or carrots, all the other veggies are very low carb. You really can eat all the veggies you want. It's good for the digestive system!

If it's not an NSV, and not an SV, what is it?
Oregondaisy replied to Globetrotter's topic in The Lounge
The way I lost weight was very frustrating. I stalled for weeks on ends, then all of a sudden I would drop 5 lbs. I never lost every single week once I was off the post op diet. Try not to worry and realize this is not a race. It's funny how even if you don't feel like you've lost very much , all of a sudden outfits, pants or tops are too big, when you feel like they fit fine just a week ago, and the scale does not show that big of a difference. Just try to eat right and maybe only weigh once a week, and live your life knowing that in the end, the weight will come off. We all want it off right now, but we really have to be patient with our bodies and the changes it's going through. -
surgery before the Holidays
Oregondaisy replied to Billy363627's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If you think that you won't be able to make it through the holidays, then wait until after Christmas. The post op diet is really important because you will have a staple line that needs to be protected. Eating the wrong foods or not following the post op diet is very dangerous and can cause a leak. -
How long were you on the mushies?

whats my goal?????help
Oregondaisy replied to sel1944's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I never really set an actual goal weight when I first started out. My goal was not to wear plus sized clothes. when I got into regular sizes, my goal was a size 10. I remembered being a size 10 and I looked at pictures of me in a size 10 and I thought that was where I wanted to be. When I got to a size 10, I just kept losing. I think I was at 140 then, so I decided I wanted to weigh 135. I seemed to naturally stop at 130 and a size 8 -
Odors after surgery
Oregondaisy replied to Stephanie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I definitely have more gas if I eat something with sugar. The way it was explained to me is that it's not in our stomach very long so it goes undigested into our intestines and causes gas. I have to be really careful of where I am and how close to people I am if I eat something like candy. -
Are you using a mini blender when making the Syntrax Nectar drinks? They should not come out lumpy that way. I've never had them be lumpy, but they are sweet. I uses less than it says to use and more water and sipped on them over a longer time period.

You can drive as long as you are not on any pain meds.

6 months out and questions?
Oregondaisy replied to greeneyes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get my calcium citrate chewables from vitacost.com. You can get all sorts of stuff there and they have a flat shipping rate of 4.99 for no matter how much you order,. I also get chocolate calcium citrate chewables from Bariatric Advantage. If you are on automatic shipping they send 60 every 30 days, but they are only 250 mg so you have to eat 2. They are the consistency of a starburst I get my adult chewable gummy Vitamins from costco. Do not use Flinstones because they are for children and do not have everything you need.. -
When I was in that size, I found jeans, and I think the brand was Lee, that had a little bit of elastic in the sides of the jeans. I also wore jeans that had a totally elastic waist that were almost like leggings.

How long were you on the mushies?
Oregondaisy replied to weightnomore's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I stayed on mushies for months. I could only eat 2-3 bites of solid meat when I was supposed to progress and it was really hard to eat. It was much easier to try to eat my 2-3 bites and then eat something mushy. Progressing to solids and learning how to eat is not all that easy. It's easier actually for people who have had the band already, because they have already learned to eat slowly and chew really really well. -

Thanks Alex.. I can calm down now. I've been trying for days to fix my ticker and it's pretty annoying to get through the whole process 100 times and have it not paste into the signature. Glad to hear you will get it resolved.
