Yep, Dr. Aceves is pretty wonderful , all right! I've never heard of any of his patients not absolutely loving him. I am here in Mexicali and just had an upper GI to check out my sleeve. Dr. Campos did it. It was so great to see him. He had just had his sleeve when I had mine. He looks like a little boy now. I love it here, even though because I just had plastic surgery, I can't go outside much.

I kept my carbs low during the losing stage, but now I eat anything i want. If I go up a couple of lbs,. it's easy to go back to Protein only and it will come off. I can't many carbs because they are so filling . I do eat soft tacos, and I can eat one slice of pizza, half a sandwich , etc

I find taking a walk really helps. In the evening I like to sit with herbal tea and it relaxes me. I do exercise at a gym every day, so I think that does keep my stress level down. Things don't stress me out as much when I exercise regularly.

I know what you mean. I can't weight myself because my friend I am staying with here in Mexicali has no scale. My pants feel tight. I am so bored cause I can't go outside until my staples are removed and there are only 2 channels here in English. I tend to eat when bored.

I am in Mexicali right now and I can tell you , crossing the border is no big deal. Dr. Aceves driver has done this for so long, nobody bothers him. It takes longer to cross going into the United States, but it's still no big deal. You will love it here! Everyone treats you great! I am in Mexicali. I had a face lift by a wonderful doctor that Dr. Aceves recommended. His name is Dr. Juan Luque. Anyway, I was supposed to have my sleeve checked at some point but flying down here for an upper GI was a little unrealistic. I went into Almater this morning and Dr. Campos did my upper GI. My sleeve is perfect after 2 years. It holds between 2-4 oz of food. The only bad thing the upper GI showed was esophageal damage left from my band. I am so glad that things is out of me! Dr. Campos told me to eat very slowly because food needs more time to pass down due to this esophageal damage.

My esophagus is damaged from the band. Why don't you read the band to sleeve revision forum?

There really isn't a lot of follow up care. You need to have labs done, but any doctor can do those. We are prone to anemia and b12 deficiency, so those need to be checked as well as the regular blood panels that doctors do.

The short answer to your question is yes. The chance of a leak is higher if you are revising from a band.

I do eat anything I want just small portions. There is nothing that gives me trouble. I don't drink alcohol by choice, but I have had it. I get drunk pretty quickly if I have a drink. Alcohol gets into the blood stream quicker from our stomachs being so small.

I tried to go off my ppi about 6 months ago. I was off of it for 6 months and it was hard. I had heartburn a lot of the time. I called and talked to dr. campos and he told me to start taking it every other day. I do that now, and that works well. I am 2 years out, but I think I'll be on this ppi for a good long while.

I am in Mexicalli too. I am going to have Dr Campos (the little hottie) is going to do an upper Gi on me at 10 am. I want him to take a look now that my sleeve is 2 years old. You'll probably be in surgery or I would come to see you!

I have had the best luck with Plentyoffish.com. Make sure you post a good head shot and then some other pictures with scenery or whatever. Try to make an upbeat profile and there is a place you can go for a profile review there.

I would not get gastric bypass for that reason. I had acid reflux too and I have had my sleeve for 2 years. Can't you go to a different doctor? Almost every doctor puts their patients on an acid blocker anyway.

I could not trust anyone but Dr. Aceves after reading all his credentials. I was willing to pay more money for my peace of mind knowing of all his experience.

You should be so proud! I remember when you first got your sleeve and you were so worried. You sure did rock your sleeve!

I went by my clothes. When I started wearing a size 6 pants and a small top, it seemed like I was at goal.I know there are people who weigh less than I do , but wear the same size. It seems like you will know when you feel that you are the right size. There are also a lot of people whose bodies decided for them. They just stopped losing. Losing the last 20 can be difficult. It just depends on how you feel about yourself when you look in the mirror and try clothes on.

I like Muscle Milk Light but it can be hard to find. It's easy to find in chocolate. There are a lot of people who don't like it though. They think it's too sweet. I guess I like sweet things! What day is your surgery?
