    Who did your surgery? I'm from Albuquerque, I live in Az now. I have a friend there looking for a good surgeon.

    Have you talked to you Dr.? I have my surgery on the 16th, and I was told liquids only no food you body needs to heal. So it's liquids only for me for 2-3 weeks. Good luck and hope you start feeling better soon.

    I think they do, they want to see that you have been overweight for at least 5 years, and this year does not count. But I was diagnosed with diabetes and high colestrol and I have asthma so that got me approved finally yesterday and they scheduled my surgery on the 16th. So excited!!! Good luck with yours:smile2:

    I was worried about the records but since I was just diagnosed with diabetes, high colestrol and I have asthma they did approve me yesterday. Finally, and scheduled me for next Tues. I can't wait.

    I didn't have to do the pre op diet thank god!!!! But there are a lot of recipes I foundon this site, just look under recipes and click on liquid diets, there are a lot of good one. Good Luck!!!

    Thanks, but I was just told today there may be a problem. The insurance co. wants dr. records for 08 and 09 but I didn't go to the dr. then I was healthy. lol But just diagnsed with diabetes, high colesterol and I have asthma, so that should be enough. Very frustrated!!!!!

    I go the Dr. Simpson also, I checked out several others and i really liked him. I hope to get banded next week, i should hear back from the insurance this week. Keeping my fingers crossed.

    Hi, I'm having my surgery next week it's good to hear everyones input. I did hear you should lay on your left side to help with the gas pains. I don't know if you have gone on the chat site but you can really learn a lot there. Good luck and hope you feel better. I'm really excited to get started.
