Hi : I am a 59 year old male --280 lbs. --I have tried many diets and most of them successful.....for a short while . I have lost 50 lbs twice ...and 60 lbs once, but as life goes ...there are always problems that arise. These create a great deal of stress ...and then the old eating habits return. I have always gained the weight back ...PLus !!!! It is time to change. I have COPD....Arthritis.....and a sight problem in my right eye. I can see again ,but I get headaches if I spend more then 45 minutes on the computer.The COPD is under control  ( with pills / puffers ) ...if I do not exert myself. ( I can do whatever I want ....as long as I don't do anything ! ) The weather plays with my arthritis a lot...on my neck / shoulder's / and most painful My lower back. My hands / knees & wrists are starting to give me pain also. I am soooooooo tired of this ......I am ready to try anything that might ease my pain ! If I lost   60  /  70 Lbs ......the breathing / arthritis / might ease to a point that I could reduce a large amount of my  prescriptions  ( $ 1700.00 every 3 months )  I was married ( passed away ) and have 3 adult boys.....5 granddaughters..2 grandsons . I am living with my new love of 9 years. We have purchased a house together 4 yrs ago , and I am on disability ( Maintenance mechanic for chemical plant ) for the above physical problems.   So on Nov. 17 I'll try this Lap Band and see what develops.
