AWESOME Vitamin D/Calcium Gummy's
myrori replied to sleeve 4 me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
funny they don't list nutritional information. Are they at least 500 mg of calcium? I am understanding that we need 1000-1200 mg a day in split doses. It has been my expeirnece gummy any thing is low in mg. -
Amazing, what inspiration! I agree, you don't look like you need to go lower~

I'm having second thoughts...

I love the restriction, it is like mental re enforcement that this is the one thing that will finally work for me, this won't be a diet that fails once again. It may just be me, but I liked how little I could get in and still how little I can at 3 months. I get a sense of power and control from it,, Power and control over food for the first time in my life! My best suggestion is to look for a positive in the negative. Meaning no I can't get much in, but this is good thing and I am in charge for once! I would gladly take little sips forever if gave me the feeling I had the fist time I had to go get smaller clothes and I stood in the dressing room in tears of joy when I seen the new me in the size 18 pants down from the size 24. NOTHING LIKE THAT! -
Congrats!

Well not entirely,, I can say that compared to my daughter who had bypass the gas problem is NOT as bad. However I have had a heck of a time with constipation and having to take mirlax that produces gas in me, (as does constipation). I went to Yankee candle and got some little sprays, and I do mean little, like the size of pen and I keep one with me for those times. Not that it is all time mind you like my daughter with bypass, but there are times.

Greek Yogurt has been my mainstay. So far I find that Brown Cow is the the creameast, followed by Chorbani, then Okios. If you really want to blow carbs out the Water then get the plain and mix some Torani SF syrup with it (found in the coffee isle) or some Crystal light with it. If you really want to pump up the Protein, add a scoop of unflavored protein to it.

HELP.....i got questions!
myrori replied to JustmeinTx's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would recommend finding a higher Protein Drink and that will help a bit. The Jello is your answer as well as much Clear liquids you desire. Sometimes hot chicken broth can hit the spot. Each day it gets a little better on the pre op as you rid your body of carbs and the stomach gets used to the new diet. Just think, every day is one day closer to your healthy new life! -
I'm having second thoughts...
myrori replied to Pinkbabe2011's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Well the good news is, if you like gulping a big cold NON calorie drink , no worries in time you will be able to drink like normal. Just give it time and at the 3 month mark you won't believe how much you can gulp compared to now. Chin up! -

myrori replied to pnatalie1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi there and welcome to the losers bench! Your weight loss is very normal They pump you full of fluids in the hospital and it takes to work out of your body. Also your body is in a bit of shock from surgery and holding on to everything to play it safe. You will see the weight loss pick up soon. -
Help, 7 weeks out need low carb meal ideas
myrori replied to Ibejjo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well my diet has been very routine also since surgery. A typical day is a Protein shake for breakfast, Greek yogurt for a mid morn snack. Some kind of chicken for lunch and chicken for dinner. Now I have gotten very creative with my chicken, I will bake it with greek yogurt parmesean and bread crumbs on top, chicken Philly, Parmesan crusted chicken, bbq chicken. When I go out I will have french onion Soup and a bite of what ever my husband is having. I was just thinking today that meat loaf sounds good. I have also had fish sticks baked, and cheese sticks baked, seafood out a couple times,,, I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I had crab legs one night. Often I buy that tuna and crackers box and have the tuna for lunch. -

plication sleeve sutures or vertical sleeve staples
myrori replied to quints's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had the sleeve, the hunger being gone was very important to me as it seemed I would no sooner get done eating and I was thinking what was next. Now since the sleeve I could go all day without hunger. I do get a sense of needing something when it has been too long, but that crazy ravenous gotta eat now hunger is gone! -
I feel like something is wrong
myrori replied to Fleur de lis's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been a very slow loser and let me tell you, it messes with the head when you read things on here. You have to take in to account ones own metabolism,,, males loose a LOT faster than woman and some of us loose at much slower rates. Now I want you to think of this, on what diet at anytime did you ever lose the average of 11 pounds a month??????? Stop focusing on how fast and more OH WOW look what I have done! -
Prayers and Congrats! I would so love to get the extra removed!
